Three Lakes Restaurant
Firstly, the view promises to take your breath away, in fact it boasts the most spectacular view in the county. The restaurant sits on top of a hill and overlooks a gorgeous piece of patchwork countryside including our three fishing lakes.
Secondly, the food is outstanding, we offer a varied lunch menu to include freshly prepared lighter bites as well as two or three course options for those that enjoy a long lunch!! In the evening we continue the theme of our long lunch menu offering a varied and scrumptious three course menu.
Thirdly, our friendly staff will endeavour to accommodate your needs where ever possible.
We open seven days a week throughout the year (excluding christmas eve, christmas day, boxing day and new years day), for anything from a cup of coffee and slice of cake to a romantic dinner for Two or a family meal for Forty!
Lovely place views are amazing, great food great service food was fast also!
First time visit and impressed by standard of food and service. Will definitely visit again.
Absolutely love this place x
Staff amazing, food amazing and The views are amazing too x
Amazing as always would always recommend 3 lakes without a shadow of doubt
Good Environment but the Service left a lot to be desired. It is usual to expect that when you ask for a glass of water to not be told where the tap is and to help yourself. I was so embarrassed and taken aback. The waiters and waitresses spent a lot of time huddled together chatting with backs to us so to get attention was frustrating. Positives: location is beautiful and food was good but the service left a bitter taste in my mouth and ruined it for me.
Service wasn’t brilliant but they weee very busy. It was a Sunday. Lovely venue but don’t go at the weekend
Service was very slow but the food and view made up for it
Great views as we eat outdoors.
Foid really good.
Price was reasonable.
meeting up with friends for the first time in two years we thought this would be a nice venue for a meal. we waited a long while for someone to take our drink order and about another 15 minutes before our food order was taken, the food was a long time coming. there was not enough staff to cope with the number of customers on a very busy lunch time with lots of families there during the school holiday. the meal itself was very nice although we felt it was a little expensive. we asked several times for our bill and after an hours wait my husband went to the bar to pay the bill. the service was very poor and therefore we would not recommend the 3 lakes to anyone for this reason.
Lovely venue, attentive staff who were all very polite and helpful. Beautiful breakfast, which was clearly all freshly cooked. Great for a special occasion - bit pricey for everyday breakfast, but all clearly stated on their web site and menus so no surprises. Would definitely go again.
Excellent service, they where very busy but kept us informed of any delays it wasn’t a problem. The meal was excellent couldn’t ask for better. And they also asked if any of our party had any allergy’s. Can’t recommend them enough.
Nice view, all pretty good apart from the wine service which was ridiculous - from the rather small and vaugely specified wine list we ordered a primitivo from Italy and were served a cabernet sauvignon from Bordeaux in France - and the bottle was opened before it came to the table.!The waitress claimed that the french wine was what they served as the italian priitivo! We eventually got an italian wine but had to settle for a Chianti instead of what we had originally ordered from the wine list. Altogether a little silly.....
Whole experience was excellent from staff to venue and food
Very nice meal with a lovely view and good service - Great experience
Wonderful location, friendly staff and stunning views. Looking forward to visiting again
A good experience, food acceptable, outlook outstanding, sadly weather was dull and overcast, but that didn't spoil our visit, and I shall go back again, in fact I'm about to book for my next visit.
My only fault of the day was, came to the restaurant the day before to see if I could change from 4 people to 6. Was told I couldn’t as a huge party were coming in at 1.00 and they would need all the tables
But what actually happened was that when the party turned up...................they ate outside and there was ample room to add two more inside. Annoying
Beautiful surroundings, attentive staff however the food was very disappointing!
I could not eat the sausage and mash as the gravy was so thick and smothered the whole plate!
The quality of the food was very poor and most definitely not worth the price paid.
Ok for a coffee and a cake but most definitely not a main meal!
Kerry was amazing. Food was amazing. Totally recommend Three lakes!
Came here for Sunday lunch with friends
Lovely setting, food good & good variety
Service excellent, special mention for waiter Sam
Ladies lunch on a Sunday. Managed to get a table outside - fabulous views (a little breezy), lovely food, great service!
Chicken and belly pork dry and bland . Not great food
Had a pleasant visit
Food was good and plenty of it
Been before for food
And a wedding
Three Lakes really is a lovely place to meet and eat (and drink). The view is perhaps the most enticing part of the whole experience, but the staff come a close second, for service and friendliness, they really ARE outstanding. The food is on the good side, perhaps a little esoteric and over-elaborate at times, but the setting and the service will more than make you want to return and enjoy the experience again.
Beautiful views and the staff were so attentive! Food was nice
This is a good restaurant in a beautiful place looking down on the lakes. You have this view inside and out. There are lots of tables outside and on a warm sunny day it is perfect. It is all waitress service and staff are attentive. I have already recommended to friends.
Lovely friendly service
Fabulous setting and view helped that the sun was shining.
Best roast dinner in a restaurant I've had in years. Everything was absolutely delicious, I had to keep on eating even though I was flup!
Decent grub, helpful staff and a great convenience for the campsite. Inside is fairly basic and relaxed, the terrace is excellent.
We had drinks outside admiring the lovely vista, then moved to our table inside to eat. I had halloumi, couscous and salad which was tasty and plentiful. Karen had the poached salmon and asparagus which she enjoyed and Wendy had falafels. The waitresses were pleasant, but their uniforms were very grubby!
Only 2 stars on ambience because of the view. Terrible unimaginative menu with limited choices for vegetarians and vegans. Overpriced
Since discovering Three Lakes, this has become my favourite place to dine, be it brunch, lunch or dinner. The food is simply superb. The staff are brilliant. The views are stunning. What more can I say...??
A lovely setting with very attentive and friendly staff and the food is excellent...large portions too! Great value for money compared to other local restaurants! Although it wasn’t very busy we were not rushed out at the end of the evening and felt comfortable. Highly recommend.
A beautiful place for a good meal, a little noisy, but worth it for the stunning outlook, we will be back.
The I asked the waitress specifically for thin chips as I’m not fond of large hand cut chips that my dish was served with. When the plate arrived I had large chips, I asked if the could be changed. Whilst the exchange happened (some 5 minutes) my plate was left in the table. I did enjoy the freshly fried fries but the tepid pie and vegetables would have been better had they been taken back and put under a heat lamp.
Great food, service but noisy when lots of people eating
Amazing view, delicious food, good value for money & clean facilities.
beautiful place, great view but food was not great and very overpriced for what you get.
small portions and the chips tasted like they had been re heated.
Delicious food and wine and the staff are very attentive and professional. The views are magnificent and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere about it. It's local for me and I have eaten there many times. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
My first visit to the Three Lakes - surprised that I haven't heard of this place before, really excellent atmosphere, lovely service (by Alex and others), a very pleasant place to spend time at lunch, dinner, and anything in between
