Great restaurant experience. Friendly staff and great food.
This is a very nice restaurant. The staff are very focused on ensuring the customers have a nice meal. My wife and I enjoyed the food. The pisco spurs are excellent. The waiter went out of his way to make a non-alcoholic one for me as well.
Great food and great welcome. My third time there now. Highly recommended!
Absolutely delicious food. The personnel and service was great. We will come back!
Highly recommend ☺️
Friendly staff, really good food, feel really homemade. Good ambience, very Peruvian
Wonderful Pisco Sour!
Really lovely and cosy, authentic restaurant! Would definitely come again!
A very friendly welcome followed by delicious food and wonderful Peruvian red wine. I'll be back!
Well, this has opened my eyes to the delights of the Pisco Sour! -a drink i have meant to try before, but just never got around to. Most delicious and refreshing. My friend and I really enjoyed our mid-week visit to Tierra Peru - we hadn't tried Peruvian food before so we both tried variations of the ceviche to start, followed by the pork (Chicharron) and the lamb (cerdo). Ceviche is a cold dish of marinated fish, but doesn't taste overly fishy as there are lots of other ingredients - I had the one with avocado and there was a lot of Peruvian sweetcorn, which are larger, paler and softer than the sweetcorn we usually get in the UK, as well as other vegetables like onion and avocado. Really nice but quite large for a starter - I struggled to finish the main course afterwards!
The lamb was beautiful, no fat and falling apart as it was so well cooked. My friend also enjoyed the pork but we agreed the lamb had the edge - subjective though!
We really want to go back and try the cassava balls with cheese (hot starter) and the potato with tuna mayonnaise (cold starter), and the carapulca stew.
Overall a really different and most enjoyable menu; the service was great and the ambience very cosy and welcoming.
Excellent food! You can try the real Peruvian kitchen and the owners are really nice people!!! A warm welcome, good suggestions, some small talk and excellent service. The place to be to try the real Peruvian kitchen in all its glory.
Tasted and looked very authentic Peruvian food. The Ceviche Tradicional was delicious as were the pisco sours!
Amazing food and very kind and efficient service, they make you feel at home.
We wanted to try somewhere different from the usual array of options and we were not disappointed. The staff were fantastic, friendly, attentive and able to accommodate specific needs due to allergies etc.
The whole experience felt 'authentic' and most importantly the food was absolutely delicious. I have already recommended Tierra Peru to my work colleagues and friends.
Absolutely fabulous! We usually eat out twice a week and didn't eat so well for several weeks. Generous portions of fresh food cooked to perfection. Besides, the staff was an example of humility and professionalism. Cozy and clean ward. See you soon guys!
Great selection of traditional Peruvian cuisine, delivered perfectly without pretence by the very friendly owner.
Ceviche good but not the best I’ve had in London and £16 for a main course ceviche not cheap. Peruvian wine good but at £ 33 a throw overpriced
Though the service was really good, waitress ver kind guy, the food did not had the quality expected for that price.
Authentic peruvian food, reasoable price, boxes are great. Seco de cordero highly recommended
The place is amazing. The people really welcome you and they are friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, everything I tried were really well prepared and so tasty. All my friends left the place satisfied and we are for sure going back !
Wonderful service. Chef customised the food for us. Nice food. Close to authentic Peruvian food. Must visit.
Too pricy for the portions.
I would heartily recommend the weekend buffet and Pisco sours!
I am Peruvian, living in Sweden. Coming across Peruvian food is challenging but coming across GOOD Peruvian food is next to impossible. This place ticked all the boxes, they have tasting dishes that were to die for. My friends were blown away and I almost cried of happiness. Truly recommended
Delicious and authentic Peruvian food. Lovely owner and good service. The hot starters portion are big enough for sharing between 2 people. I would recommend the traditional ceviche, the octopus, and the maize mash with pork wrapped in banana leaves as “must try” dishes.
Best food I have had in London! Nice and very friendly service ! Loved the restaurant, the food and the service ^^
Always good, reliable local - try the steak!
We had a lovely Sunday lunch at Tierra Peru. It was a buffet, which we didn’t expect, however the food was fresh and delicious. Service was excellent and very personable. We will be back.
Friendly and very approachable staff, food presentation really good! Highly recommend👍
WE had a lovely lunch on Saturday, as we were mostly new to Peruvian food we went with the Fish and meat sharing platters, there was nothing disappointing, i also recommend the Peru Red Wine it was worth the extra money.
Amazing steak - add the egg
Great place on Essex Road!
Tierra Peru is a hidden gem in Essex Road - nothing fussy, just good, honest Peruvian food done right. The staff are very friendly, and the food tastes excellent, an authentic taste of dishes I've eaten in Lima. This is not fine-dining, but it doesn't need to be - it's just a tasty, fun evening out.
Really great restaurant and friendly staff, loved it!
The best mojitos I've had, great service and great food.
Amazing food and superb service, our waiter was so lovely. Had a great meal and will definitely return!
Best Peruvian!! Great service atmosphere and food! Will be back’n thank you.
Great cute place, very friendly service and above all excellent Peruvian drinks and food!
Wonderful service - lovely warm, friendly staff, fab Pisco sours & great food. Seems to be run by a Peruvian family - they brought back memories of our trip 10yrs ago! You have to go here!
With a forthcoming trip to Peru we thought we should try out a local Peruvian restaurant to see what we might expect. We were delighted by the experience at Tierra Peru. From the enthusiastic welcome through to the Coca Spirit on departure we found the environment and the food to be excellent. The staff are attentive, enthusiastic, and helped explain the menu and the origin of the dishes. We started with some great Pisco Sours. The starters were quite large - nicely flavoured ceviche, the tamalito de pollo was new to us and enjoyable and the Anticuchos were enjoyed by our children. The mains were excellent - and substantial - and we recommend the Chicharron and the Cordero Huanuqueno. Desert- if you like chocolate then try the chocolate and Pisco mousse. Overall we must have spent nearly three hours there and the time flew. An enjoyable evening and we will certainly be back.
wonderful food with great staff
will be coming back
Great food ! We love the presentation of the dishes. The flavour is amazing .
This time we had to wait longer than we expected to be served.
2 waiters for the whole place on Saturday it is not enough .
They need to improve the service ,but again we will be back because of the food.
