The food served here is good but pity about everything else that dampens the experience. The acoustic singer on Sunday was too loud, reception was frosty, waiters/waitresses kept delivering wrong drinks and food to the wrong table, inattentive waiting staff and the toilets were in a dismal state. One of the waiters dropped a knife that had blueberry/raspberry coulis from the banana bread onto a customer and gave a half-hearted apology!! The t-shirt was ruined!
Otherwise, the banana bread with berry coulis and mascarpone was excellent, as were there Healthy Start and Brocolli and Corn fritters.
Friendly staff and although it was busy - they were efficient and welcoming. Went for brunch on a Sunday - there was live music - would go back for sure!
The food was delicious however service was a little on the slow side. After waiting 40-45 minutes for food and being told everything would come out all together in 20 minutes we only received one starter. The server had not placed the order and our mains came later than expected. The food was fantastic and the restaurant had a lovely ambience! Would go again for brunch.
The actual meat burger was juicy but a little tough.
The charcoal bun was unusal - dry, and rock hard, not like a bun at all.
The chips were tasty but a bit soggy.
The posh bacon roll was not good, the bacon was so dry.
Drinks, ambience and service all good.
Food is as always fabulous - fresh, light and creative. The service however was very distracted - the food came before the drinks, and there was even confusion with the table. I would also recommend that the management looks into the facilities upstairs - it was really scruffy.
It is a little loud and the staff doesn't seem to be knowledgable of food and drink beyond their menu, although they are very nice. But the food was fantastic. We went there three times in three weeks.
Great healthy options, warm environment, and delicious food.
We arrived to brilliant music from a solo lady with guitar - she was excellent.
Service was mixed - the wine bottle was dumped on the table end in a cooler - we had to pour ourselves. There wasn't any menu recommendations/advice or discussion to help choose.
There was no children's menu or smaller options for little people - in fact huge portions that completely over faced us (including adults).
The stairs were difficult with kitchen service coming up and down - the same route to the restaurant toilets.
All 6 of us girls had an amazing time! Saturday bottomless brunch is definitely worth it!
Unfortunately despite booking a table 3 weeks in advance they didn’t have a table ready for us on arrival. Due to the fact they were busy we were seated upstairs next to the kitchen away from the lovely ambience of the main restaurant.
The menu is lovely and the drinks are awesome but this was overshadowed by being shoved upstairs on chairs that were too wide for the table. The waiter was nice but not very attentive. Having dined in the main restaurant before the waiters are far more attentive if you sit downstairs.
It’s a real shame as I love the food and drinks.
The staff are really friendly and very attentive! I would recommend this venue to all!
Great meal, not rushed, quick service and kept us informed when a slight delay
Excellent work guys. Personally it was a touch too loud for me, but I own a lively restaurant tends to stay in business, so this is a positive regardless. My friends and I were pleased with everything; esp. the fact that the staff were sincere, patient and courteous despite my friends turning up 35 minutes late (naughty, naughty!). Great food, obviously - we will be back ( and on time!)
Thank you- a flawless venue.
Live music and excellent quality food! This was my second visit and I will definitely go again!
I've been to Timmy Green's a few times and not sure I why i keep going back. The food always takes ages and last time was no different. People on the table next to us left without eating due to the delay in being served.
I ordered a burger and asked for the pineapple salsa to be removed and it came with the salsa and as I don't like it I only ate a little bit of it as I couldn't wait for another one to come.
My friend, who's vegetarian ordered the veggie version of the burger, also without the salsa and it still came with it. She also ordered a salad insetad of the chips (as they're cooked in duck fat) but she still got the chips, which she was unable to eat.
The waiter apologised but that was that, nothing was done to repair and we still paid full price.
Really lovely atmosphere and delicious food! Staff were friendly and welcoming and the whole place had a classy relaxed atmosphere.
Great food but was let down slightly when 2 hours exactly after arriving our waitress said we will have to give up our table as that was the end of our time. Then brought over the bill. We were plabning on buying some more drinks after brunch but had to head to a local pub instead. Otherwise was an amazing day as usual
Dishes arrived 15 mins apart but we still had to pay full price, slightly surprising.
Service was slow and poor. Food was OK but overpriced. Our drinks took 15 mins to arrive. The chef delivered the food due to inattentive wait staff. No knives, forks or plates provided so we had to take from another empty table (the occupants had left due to no service). Live music made all conversation difficult.
Nice food and a lovely menu but the service was very slow for a half full restaurant. Lunch for 5 took 2.5 hours
Bright and airy space with very good service and fresh-tasting food. Would recommend.
Nice food, which was well cooked and presented. Competent, friendly staff. A good place to come for dinner if you are going to the hit theatre show Hamilton. Just a little on the pricey side, especially when compared with quirky sister cafe, Daisy Green. Probably reflects the more aspirational food offer and higher costs of the location.
Most items on the menu, including drinks were unavailable. To coincide, service was near non-existent
Great food and diverse menu. Waitstaff pleasant - we had a booking and sat 3 of us down immediately without the rest of our party. They were however not particularly helpful afterwards - e.g. claimed they couldn't make tea, but happily made me a flat white? The other downside is that it is extremely loud in the restaurant.
Amazing bottomless brunch! Having visited a few times for lunch my friend and I decided to do the bottomless brunch and were not disappointed. Food was delicious, drinks were constantly topped up and staff were some of the most attentive and friendly I've witnessed in a long time! Will definitely be back again soon!
Food was great, the staff were friendly. It was quite loud as it was really busy. Due to it being so busy it did feel like it took a while from ordering food and drink to it arriving. But I would definitely go back again for a girls brunch.
Cold with uncomfortable chairs but nice food and very good service
Great menu with firm favourites like a good steak or lamb done really well and then also some wonderful more interesting options like jackfruit curry. Haloumi fries are amazing!!
Absolutely delightful. Great food, warm service and live music.
Thoroughly enjoyed our pre-theatre visit to Timmy Green. Ample portions, and very healthy food. Limited menu but we liked that - there is enough variety. Staff very helpful and friendly. We have had lunch there before, this was our first dinner/evening experience - we will definitely visit again and spend longer there. Having said that - the restaurant was able to cater for us quickly as we were going to the theatre. Fresh healthy food. Different from the usual humdrum chain restaurants located nearby
The breakfast menu is life.
Best banana bread sandwich in town.
Good younger crowd with vegetarian friendly unique menu.
Tasty food, and very attentive staff (a little over-attentive)...but very over-priced for what it is. £10 for a non-alcoholic cocktail, £7.50 for a glass of very average house white and £4-something for some dressed lettuce leaves. Steaks are £20-30, excluding sides. Ambience ok - but not a cosy place. Overall, not remarkable wouldn't go back - and not work the price per head.
Food was tasty but starter and main was delivered at the same time and the explanation was it was 'an express lunch' which wasn't the expectation and wasn't mentioned at point of ordering. Service was pretty slow despite the restaurant not being busy. The menu and drinks list look interesting and flavours didn't disappoint. Portion sizes were good apart from the lamb cutlet starter (described as cutlets on the menu but only one served on the plate!)
We booked a table and had to wait 30 minutes for the table to be ready. The restaurant was cold and we were sat next to windows on the coldest day of the year (was snowing outside). The front of house were rude to us when we initially arrived at the restaurant and even locked the doors so we couldn’t even get inside (as I said, it was snowing!!). The food was good and waiter was nice. Although we did order some drinks that never came... overall food was good but don’t expect much from the service!
Really good unique food, great shakes, beers and coffee.
Went here for my a birthday and it was amazing. Had the Fancy Bacon Roll and it was the best brunch I’ve ever had. The service was excellent. Told them it was my birthday and brought us free alcoholic drinks and a cake. So friendly throughout. Can’t wait to go back again!
The place and food was lovely, It will nice if the table were a little wider. It was hard to fit everything on the table.
One of my favourite places for brunch in the city, lovely atmosphere and food with a diverse and interesting brunch menu. Great options whether you're being indulgent or healthy.
Some items slightly more expensive than other places but the constant busy atmosphere shows people are willing to pay it! Will definitely be back soon.
Nice venue and tasty food. However, service very slow. Friday brunch. Understaffed. 20 mins before order taken. Drinks order wrong. Food order wrong. Staff rushed off their feet and trying best. Staff friendly. Upstairs and toilets looking tired even though venue quite new. Good gluten-free options and lots of veggie ones.
