Toby Carvery - Ewell
Good fresh food for the hungry family. Service good.
Very enjoyable a birthday lunch good food plenty of choices good service
Toby Carvery at Ewell is an excellent venue. All meats are tasty and very tender. Many varied vegetables all served at lunch times. Staff always very friendly and helpful to disabled customers.
Didn't have to wait long for carvery , food was hot and plenty of it, staff were attentive although very busy.
Changed branch s. CROY. TO EWEL . Why
not honoured their promise....Manager was MARK.
Took my wife out to have a change of scenery and we were very impressed with the service and speed with which we were shown to our table the staff were very helpful and the food was delicious we will be going back again.
Thoroughly enjoyed meal, cant say much more, good value for money.
Oh you used to get jug of custard with pudding, where has this gone ;o(
Enjoyed our visit as usual great value good food only criticism would be rather short of staff on this occasion
We enjoyed the event of psychic readings taken place there ,in addition to food and wine..we liked it because it's near home , and the service in general was good .thank you all
The meal and the new updated restaurant was very nice and we will be going back very shortly .
Only problem is why are you recommending we should go to a Indian or Spanish restaurant ?
We are lucky enough to have this Toby local to ourselves. We have found the timing of our meals depend on our satisfaction of the meal on the day. We prefer to come when it is not
crowded but recently came for early meal only to find there were tables empty but was told
we would have to wait 30 mins in the bar for a table. We had not booked as we were before
the rush from family coming after school and people coming after work. There was very little space in the bar but we were told we could have our meal straight away if we accepted not
to be served by a waitress. This we did but our meal was hardly warm by the time we squeezed
past the bar and the round table where we had to apologise pushing past their meal to get into our chairs. It may have been there were not enough people in to serve the tables but we were
very disappointed. I am sure we will try again to have what can be a most enjoyable meal at
Toby if everything go to plan.
There was no pasta in kids menu on the day we visited
The waitress overcharged us by counting the number of kids meals wrongly
Otherwise it was a pleasant lunch. The vegies were nicely cooked
Very good friendly restaurant slightly let down by SLOW table service for ordering drinks and asking for the bill, it is not the Fault of the Waitress but the fact that there are not enough waitresses to go around, it will obviously be ok when the restaurant is not full, This is not the
First time I have noticed this, The waitresses are very friendly and helpful
Great food and lovely atmosphere , staff were lovely really enjoyed my meal .🥂
A meal out with friends the food was very good and the service was quick and friendly. Would definitely go again.
Enjoyed a very pleasant early evening meal with 8 year old grandson. Nice food, pleasant waitress, good value.
We booked and had a lovely meal. We managed to beat the 6pm rush. It was more successful than our previous visit where we did the expected half hour wait but then queued for 40 minutes at the food counter. We didn't mind at first but people were arriving or eating their starter, then climbing under the barrier to join their friends. We all want our dinner, have some of you forgotten how to queue!!
Used to really like the ewell carvery but unfortunately place is looking really shabby and is in desperate need of a refurbishment. Because it gets a lot of people going there do not get complacent when it comes to venue.
Lovely tasty food. Fast Service and a Lovely waitress Judy. Although very busy on that night when came in. The Ewell Branch was one staff short plus have job vacancies there aswell. She gave excellent customer service even under pressure. Easy to go overboard in filling up my plate. I was very satisfied as was my mum. But completed full and bloated. My fault not yours. Lol.
The food was not hot, yorkshire puddings looked like they were from the day before, flat and soft. The pork was excellent, the beef looked fatty. There were no bitter beers. The cappachino machine had broken down. We have been before and this visit was not as good.
Use this carvery as it is very local, not the best in terms of environment, overdue for refurbishment, we would not recommend to friends whilst refurbishment is well overdue.
It was a very pleasant evening. The food was good and we didn't feel rushed. Exception value for money.
always good value for money. decor needs cleaning up but food very good with lots of veggies.
We thoroughly enjoyed it qnd the waitress was so efficient and friendly on a very hot night do not know how she kept going will be back again when we go up to our daughters, only wish we had one near us in Selsey West Sussex
welcomed by friendly staff on entrance.very polite and courteous.we had a starter which was great value for money, then had a carvery which was delicious, with several choices of gravy.outstanding value and definitely worth a vist
