British
Here at Toby Carvery Poole, we believe there's only one way to do our beloved British roast – and that's properly. Every spud is checked by hand and ruffled for extra crunch. All of our meat is slow-cooked and basted to succulent perfection. And our Yorkshires are freshly made in our kitchens and served crisp, fluffy and piping-hot to your plate. That's what makes us the home of the roast.

We had a lovely roast lunch excellent food as always and wanted to round it off with delicious ice cream but was disappointed to be told NO ice cream to day ! So came away feeling slightly deflated 😏 however it won’t stop us going back.

Very prompt and friendly service from all staff. Food excellent value for money. Obviously a very popular location for persons of all ages to eat, which unfortunately is reflected in some of the decor and furniture, which is showing a lot of wear and tear and is in need of replacement .

My wife and I first patronised these premises, over 40 years ago, when it was just a standard pub, The Fleetsbridge Hotel. We have eaten there on numerous occasions over the years, prior to it becoming a Toby Carvery, but due to unfounded and unjustified concerns as to the type of clientele the premises now attracted and standard of food provided, it was only recently, when taken there by family members, that we realised what we had been missing out on. The food and service far exceeds what is on offer, at any other like establishment, within many miles. It is really exceptional value for money and as a consequence appears to be very popular with families with young children, who on occasion, are somewhat noisy and unruly. Unfortunately staff do not appear to be willing, or able, to request parents to supervise their children appropriately. This, together with the fact that some of the decor is a little dated, damaged and in need of replacement, detracts from what is otherwise, a really pleasurable experience. We have eaten there a further 3 times in recent weeks and each time, have thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We would recommend the food and service to anyone, although, if looking for a calm, peaceful ambiance, suggest you wait until younger children are likely to be in bed.
