Delicious food & great service
Food was absolutely delicious and the girl who served us really knew the menu well. We were sat down stairs which did not have any atmosphere but the food made up for it.
A delightful set of staff looked after us very well - thank you very much.
We are looking forward to our next visit
Very nice food. However our cod main didn't quite live up to the starter or dessert. Other than that a great meal.
We’ve never been disappointed here. The menu is consistently good, seasonal and oh so tasty. The quality of the ingredients is always excellent. Service too is delightful, that’s why we keep coming back.
Gourmet food lovingly prepared and presented by friendly, knowledgeable staff. But portions of main courses are small for my taste. Don't miss the chips.
Really interesting menu. We tried all the table sharing dishes, and they were all delicious. Scallops and fish and chips were divine, my wife loved the lamb. Puddings and Irish/Welsh /French coffees topped off a wonderful evening. We were all very impressed. Service was top notch.
Amazing food, beautifully presented. Fantastic cocktails. Lovely staff.
Great place for a pre- or post-theatre dinner. We’ll definitely be back.
Everything we ate was delicious and the bill was pretty reasonable. I would not hesitate to go back.
We visited for a team lunch and had the express menu. The menu is really good value, although food tasted good. The restaurant was quiet at the time so not much atmosphere. Will try it again.
The food was fantastic! So many nice things on the menu it was hard to chose. The children also loved the food. Looking forward to gong back.
This was one of the best restaurant experiences I had in London. There was a slight wait for our desert, but the staff were extremely attentive, made sure that we felt looked after, and generally made us feel pampered! A massive thank you to the entire team for helping us celebrate St David's Day!
Good value pre-theatre menu. Food was delicious, the cod and lamb mains were outstanding. Service was slow which was a let down
Excellent Welsh service and food in London! Would highly recommend to anyone.
Second time here. Excellent food and very friendly staff. It can get pricey, though, so we stuck to the set menu for early/late diners. A very pleasant oasis just yards from the hectic riverside venues.
We enjoyed a tasty dinner at Tom Simmons before going to the Bridge Theatre. Our companions were vegetarian and they were pleased with their pasta dishes. I had the mushroom soup followed by the pork belly--very good. The service was excellent as always.
Outstanding vslue for the set menu with choices, four I think, for each course with exceptional cooking and lovely presentation,. Rather more expensive from the a la carte, but almost certainly justifiable.
Food was delicious
The cod loin was excellent
Chips are sublime
Absolutely stonking meal for my other half’s birthday. We went when it was Half Term so it was a little quieter for a lunchtime. The staff were just the right level of excellent service and friendliness. The food was some of the best I’ve had in London and anywhere else. The sourdough and ‘Marmite’ butter was heavenly. We can highly recommend the beef and chicken both were so packed full of flavour. Desserts were delicious and the fudge and homemade truffles were some of the best I have ever tasted! This place is a must!! Book now.
I enjoy the family feeling of this place - the staff behave as if every meal and every person matters to them and they are proud of their restaurant. The food was completely delicious and very well presented especially the Lamb shepherds pie and the monk fish. The wine list is limited but what we had was also very good.
Have already recommended this restaurant to friends and will be going again.
Fantastic food and atmosphere in a great location near tower Bridge. Staff warm and welcoming.
This is very, very good cooking. We started with a trio of oysters - raw with lemon and olive oil, warm with a ponzu dressing and tempura. One of the best dishes I've eaten recently, the flavour of the oysters was enhanced not diminished by the dressings. Chicken was a very nicely cooked piece of breast with an intense celeriac puree, but the star was the chargrilled hispi cabbage. Staff were universally delightful. The dining room isn't the most atmospheric in London, but that's a minor quibble. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Oh, and nice touch - we went on Valentine's, and instead of the predictable red rose, we had two daffodils on the table. Pretty much sums up Tom Simmons - classic with some lovely touches, and a chef who stays very true to his Welsh heritage.
As good as ever!
I took my fiancé for his birthday, he had to send his starter back because it was cold. Generally I just felt it was really over priced for the service and quality of experience.
Quality of food, location and price merits white table cloth, otherwise very good.
We had a fantastic evening at this amazing restaurant. As a London based Welshman it was great to see so much Welsh produce and the menus were imaginative and Amazingly tasty.
Will definitely be back
Delicious food with a focus on quality Welsh ingredients. Menu making the best of that Welsh produce with imaginative twists. Very well presented.
All round fab experience! Food was absolutely amazing, lovely atmosphere, gentle but up to date music playing, attentive but not over the top service. Definitely one to revisit next time in London.
Food was amazing from the start to the end . We love good food and we couldn’t fault one thing , so much flavour. Great service as well we are looking forward to going back .
The menu is the big attraction at Tom Simmons. I've only ever chosen from the set lunch menu, but, despite the relatively short number of choices on offer, it has never failed to provide tip-top, inventive dishes, served by friendly staff. The decor is shiny and the big glass windows let the light in nicely. While the views are fairly ordinary - mostly other aspects of a large moden development - the location, near the Thames at Tower Bridge, and only a few minutes walk from London Bridge rail and underground stations, is an area bustling with attractions.
Came back after one year from my last visit, discovered this little gem thanks to my girlfriend and we both fell in love with the cuisine, the restaurant is quite small but is always full so I recommend to book in advance! We shared all the food and all was amazing, I love exploring new restaurant in London and Tom Simmons is my number one restaurant so far.
Keep going like this team!
Outstanding cuisine. We live locally and this is by far our favourite restaurant.
Another great visit to Tom Simmons. and ... I ll be back next week again .. Hurrah. Keep it up guys. Wonderful food... great service...
Fabulous evening. Food was delicious as were the cocktails. Great atmosphere.
Excellent food with great service & a fantastic location.
Such a pleasure to find really well-cooked, imaginative and very tasty food at a very good price. The service was very professional, the ambience relaxed, and we had a very enjoyable lunch. So nice not to be the least bit disappointed in a new London restaurant. The Tea-brined Chicken was brilliantly crunchy, moist and so tasty, and really good bread and flavoured butters. The cod and lamb mains were thankfully not too big, but again packed with well balanced flavours. I can't honestly say that the chips were amongst the best I've had (certainly not after the original triple-cooked chips at the Hand and Flowers), but novel and good enough. We were very glad we squeezed in the warm chocolate mousse, as it was quite perfect and even better with the piquant sorbet. A really excellent lunch.
Food and restaurant were great- chips lived up to expectations! Service was good but a little slow. Overall would recommend.
The food was amazing, great staff very knowledgable with top recommendations- will definitely come back
A lunchtime catch up with a former colleague so enjoyed the set menu which was excellent value, beautifully presented and exceptionally good
Fourth time eating here and definitely not the last. Outstanding cooking, really excellent. And I think the price is very good value considering the quality, especially the set menus. I'm going to keep going until they win a Michelin star and put the prices up!
