I was very disappointed that the restaurant did take it's inventory off of Open Table and allowed me to book a reservation for a night that they were closed. I even received several email confirmations that my reservation was coming up. When I walked up to the restaurant the lights were off and there was a sign on the door stating they were closed on Tuesday's during the holiday season. While I was there three other couples arrived who also had Open Table reservations. This is solely negligence on the establishment not to manage their reservation system and inventory. Reservations should be closed off if the restaurant is not open. I love this place and was excited to take my cousin for our holiday celebration but instead we had to walk through Foggy Bottom in the cold till we found some where else to eat. Very frustrated with the management and not sure I will come back here again.
GREAT place to celebrate Biden's election! Service was great and the ambiance was fantastic. Plenty of outdoor seating. Great tots. 10/10.
Follow COVID guidelines very well! Amazing food and drinks, as well as service. Bring a blanket if outside and chilly! They do have heaters too but I just run cold.
Was exactly was we were looking for. Quiet, good atmosphere, nice staff and delicious food and drink. Fish tacos delicious!
Great food, huge portions, nice selection and great service. Will definitely return when in the area again.
Pork BBQ entree, food was very blah; service a bit slow on check delivery.
Rats ran around where used and dirty dishes were piled up along a very short wall at the end of the patio in broad daylight. This was my former happy place during grad school and it was embarrassing because I brought a friend.
Unfortunately we encountered a rude waitress and actually ended up leaving the restaurant because of it.
Heard that there was a band that plays during brunch. My friends and I were craving live music in Corona times. The social distancing and outdoor seating was great! My only problem was that the television was a bit of distraction from the live music. Otherwise I enjoyed myself and will be back.
Happy hour was great. Loved sitting outside. Food was ok.
Good but not fantastic like I recall. Increase size of portions, or lower the prices.
Law school meet up
Love the homies at Ton @ Quig
Very clean and everyone's wearing masks. Plenty of hand sanitizer available, and clean bathrooms. It's great to be able to get out, and do it safely!
It wasn’t the best food but the Bloody Mary was lit, and our waitress was very sweet ♥️
Great all around food options. I'm vegetarian and was able to find options withouta struggle. Their Truffle Mushroom and Onion Mac and Cheese is phenomenal. They have a regular portion and mini mac size and to be honest, with the richness of the dish I was satisfied. Mini is not a mini as you think. I can't wait to go back and try more from their cocktail menu. I ordered the Tonic G&T which is an infused Gin and Tonic that they make in-house and my friend (who doesn't drink much) got the Frose and I knew it was good because she ordeed a second.
Great staff, food and a beautiful evening on the patio.
Excellent sanitation measures being taken to ensure a positive dining experience.
The service was very good but the food was not worth it. There were four of us and none of us would recommend coming back. Dishes were burnt and one of the burgers had an odd consistency to the meat. Fine for drinks but would not recommend for food except the tots.
Love the tater tots and the atmosphere!!
For some reason the restaurant was freezing cold. It was as if there was no heat on! People at the table next to us had their coats on their heads and even the server said she was freezing. Though there were only two tables occupied upstairs and not that many people downstairs, our food took an HOUR to serve. Our server said she did not know what the problem was in the kitchen. Now curry vegetable bowl was very good and the server was excellent, but no food is worth sitting in a cold, half empty restaurant for an hour to be served.
We went for lunch and they have a decent set of burgers with Tater tots
Consistently great food and service. Can get busy and noisy.
Visiting from out of town, and found this through a google search. The vibe is great, and we can see why it’s popular. I’m not giving 5 stars for a few minor reasons: 1) it was FREEZING in the dining room. More than one customer complained, and when we commented that it felt as though the air and not the heat was on, nothing was done to fix the problem. Even the wait staff was working in sweaters and cardigans. 2) our app came out with our dinner. We ordered the hummus plate, which was excellent. However it was on the table for 2 minutes before our dinner was served. 3) as a result of the cold air pumping into the room, our food got cold rather quickly. We would be willing to go back again, but maybe in the warmer months!
Food isn’t bad, but nothing worth going to a restaurant for
I thought they should have had a more of a variety of tea's and the tea wasn't sweet outside of that the food was great.
This place is hit or miss for me. I had the same dish, one week apart--a turkey sandwich with brie and sliced apples on ciabatta. The first time it was delicious. Yesterday, the turkey was tough, the apples were brown and mealy, and the brie had an odd taste. Service is fairly good, tables upstairs are nicer than the bar area or the plastic-encased outside tables.
Great place! Known for their tots. Good location for lunch as near our office.
Was able to accommodate a table of 12 on a Saturday night at 7. Great menu selection, great tasting food options. A little loud, but otherwise a fun place to eat. Parking garage nearby, and easy to find.
Most of our food was delicious. When the beignets arrived for dessert, however, they were raw inside. The restaurant did bring us another order, but those were overdone. Our server was very nice, but they seemed a bit understaffed, as they forgot our tater tots order as our appetizer and didn't bring it until we asked for it and our entrees were served.
Delicious - love the tots. Our server was attentive.
Our waiter was very nice, but clearly over extended serving too many tables as he was hard to catch. Our chili arrived lukewarm and the mac & cheese was cold to the touch. To their credit they comped the Mac but the rest of the meal left something to be desired.
Visiting my son at GWU always includes dinner at Tonic. Great food, great service and the perfect location.
Love this restaurant and their extreme amount of tots!! Went for brunch and it was great! Got the bottomless mimosas and Chloe made sure our glasses never went empty. Got the toffle
Burger and was very very impressed! Will go Back again
This is a great little place to hit up if you are in the GW neighborhood, BUT if you don't care for crowds, go at an off time. Evenings and weekends are tremendously busy, and also quite noisy. Food is always good and they have some flavorful and interesting takes on "usual" foods (ex: their BLT is quite different but quite fine). No parking at all in this neighborhood, but the Foggy bottom metro is only a couple of blocks away.
College town pub. A friend recommended that I dine here while I was visiting the D.C. area. We had the tater tots for an appetizer. It’s was a very large portion as an appetizer. Nothing exceptional about the tots though. My pulled pork sandwich wasn’t bad. Upstairs dining area was very, very loud.
Food wasn't that tasty--soup was luke warm and the Salmon sandwich wasn't good. Waiter wasn't attentive. Wouldn't go back.
