Top Paddock Cafe
Weekends: 8am -4pm (Kitchen closes at 3pm)
I was disappointed with my choice of a kale salad with beetroot and fennel. A huge bowl of kale and a tiny amount of beetroot and fennel. Almost inedible.
My friends hot cakes were very good.
The service was rushed and not particularly friendly.
I won’t return in a hurry.
The food and ambience was great however the experience was a little let down by the service. We were sat in a corner and staff would just walk past without checking in on the section. We had to actively look for someone to take out order. Otherwise, place is great and I would recommend it for a Brunch session.
Great place to catch up with friends for Brunch. Good food and friendly service Recommended
We went for brunch on Saturday and it was good but nothing special. The food was a bit above average and the staff seemed slightly dis-interested in us. Had heard great things about Top Paddock being one of the best brunch spots in Melbourne but would completely disagree. We left very disappointed.
Took my partner here. It was amazing!
Everything was amazing!! Just my only complaint was everyone who ordered eggs said that toast was way to hard and the couldn't really eat it as it was so hard. But apart from that everything was amazing!
Delicious with a great vibe. Love the concept of no waste too. Recommend to everyone to try this option.
Overall experience was good. Food and coffee was good. Only thing was, they had ran out of Turkish bread and had to substitute using sour dough, for the beef brisket roll which was disappointing.
Great service and amazing food, would recommend highly
Service and food great but it was exceptionally noisy inside
For such a popular cafe I was really disappointed. Food is well overpriced and the coffee was awful. Of a group of 6 of us, 3 of us couldn’t drink our coffee. One was sent back and was still terrible when a new one was made
Top Paddock. Delicious, wholesome food well done. Coffees are fab although there’s a long wait (Eg. 15 minutes) during peak times.
Went to Top Paddock with a friend to try out lunch at cafe. Choice of food on the menu was ok but not fantastic. Quite disappointing. We have been to other cafes that offer similar if not higher quality food than Top Paddock. Serving is small and price is similar to other cafes in Melbourne. Ambience is only ok but not super great. Staff was good and quite attentive.
Well presented clean, healthy food. Friendly attentive staff. Thanks for a great lunch.
We arrived half an hour early for our reservation on a cold morning, and the staff had thoughtfully reserved a table inside for us even though the reservation had been made for outdoor seating. The waitstaff were attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious, portions very generous!
Great food, amazing menu with lots of interesting options!
Happy we booked in advance we had our own table and lovely setting
Food came out luke warm, as did the coffee and the service.
After being highly recommended to us we were a bit disappointed with our visit.
Superb coffee , fabulous breakfast menu including the faves and the inspirational ! Mushrooms to die for!
Lovely brunch ! The waitress was very hospitable ! The food was yumm ! Sit out and enjoy the city move around you !
I had not been to TP before but after seeing some of their posts on Instagram I thought "wow, this LOOKS beautiful; must try it." ....
Although the meals looked good; the food was very bland. It was VERY disappointing.
The communal tables have only one set of Salt, Pepper and Sugar which is hard to share around when tables seat 10+ people who are all getting their meals around the same time.
We asked for a non-communal table as we were brunching with an infant - the request was not taken into account.
Service was with a smile but INCREDIBLY slow. Took close to an hour to get our meals even though we arrived for Brunch prior to 9:00AM (...and the place didn't get busy until around 10:00AM).
On the plus side - coffee is quite nice HOWEVER it only comes in one size though (no mug-a-chinos here).
With so many amazing places on the other side of the Yarra (South Yarra, Prahran) I suggest going elsewhere for a more delicious meal.
It was ok - perhaps I was just unlucky ordering (açai bowl) - but what came out is basically a bowl full of jam-sweet liquid. I guess I was expecting something different. It was too sweet to eat. It just felt like the place was trying too hard and missing it. Service quite patchy.
Excellent food and service. The salmon was sensational!
The food was absolutely amazing! Everyone ordered different dishes and we all loved them and were envious of each others food.
Luckily we were able to book a table (being a group of 7) but if you're less than 4 I don't think you can book so get there early! It was very busy, which was expected for prime Sunday brunch time but this did not altar the service that we received from the staff. The food however was a little on the slow side but it was understandable considering we were a big group with different dishes and it was busy. I would recommend going with a smaller group, especially if you're all hungry!
The coffee was amazing along with the atmosphere. Very laid back for a perfect Sunday brunch. Will be returning again!
Maître de had a bit of an attitude problem. Otherwise great.
