Bday girls nite out service and food was wonderful
First time here in years. We were a group of 10. Great service and food was delicious! We will definitely be back!
wonderful service. We ordered a rucola salad, salmon and ravioli. Everything was very good. The restaurant is way too noisy.
What a great restaurant for a nice evening out with family and friends. The food, service and ambiance is outstanding.
We went two couple almost spent $500.00 when we asked the waiter to bring us decent wine glasses his answer was we only have 12 glasses?🙃😂 sorry 😐 what an answer to a customer well they lost our business for next time
Food and service always good. love the burrito/mozzarella appetizers. Pastas great. Bronzino done in special way and excellent.
Too loud Food to salty service ok
The outdoor patio is lovely and a quiet place for friends to meet and chat. The food however is mediocre.
Everything was good service how ever seemed like she was forgetting to bring us everything and only came to check on us once during our meal and the second time when we were done
I would like to come back just not for Valentine’s Day. The service was not too good. Too crowded. I had to keep asking for bread and water. We felt crammed in like sardines. I spent well over $150 but felt like it wasn’t worth it. I might try coming back another time.
love the food, many good choices. reservation was honored
A great valentines dinner on the patio! Yummy
Excellent place... we had a great dinner, we have been there several times!
As always...one of our favorites !
Wonderful! Always great!
Remains a very good place to go for dinner especially if you plan it before going to a movie. very loud. very crowded on a Saturday night. service a bit slow since I think they were short on staff. But remains a neighborhood favorite.
We enjoyed the restaurant but I felt like we could not sit and relax. The waitress never came and asked if we would like a drink. She only came to take our food order. The salad came and we were not asked if we wanted pepper, which we did. Our dinner arrived before we finished our salad, which I despise. The food was very good. Once we finished dinner the waitress came over and said you don't want dessert do you? Seriously? We did and had her bring us the dessert menu. Dessert took a long time to come and was good. The waitress dropped off the check before we finished our dessert. Overall the the greatest staff but good food.
Quality of food degarded. Toscanuva used to be a great place to eat but not anymore. My family been coming here for years now. I couldn't understand the recent bad reviews but now I do. Came here with my spouse for some quality time. We ordered the same things we always do. Orderd the ribeye signature dish (medium rare). When it came, the stake was overcooked more like medium well if anything. I'm a meat lover so I know how steaks should look like! I mentioned this to the waiter and he said that be see the same and my complaint is right. The manager (Antonala) came back and said that the Chef will not redo it and that I'm wrong. He even put the thermometer inside (this is 10 min after the meat was done). Canceled the order and will note my family not to arrive here anymore.
Note to the management: Medium rare is a warm, red center!! You should study more!! They pay you to do your job.
We really enjoyed Sunday Brunch this weekend. We will be back. So relaxing and easy...and the food was tasty!
We have been here many times and always enjoy the food and ambience. The service has always been 5 star, but this night it was sub-par. It was very busy, our waiter had too many table to handle and he was very forgetful, as well as absent most of the time. He was nice enough to take our espresso and coffee off the bill, but that didn’t help our overall feel of the evening. I think it was just an off night.
Went with two friends for dinner and were seated immediately even though it was busy. Service was very friendly and attentive. I had their special pappardelle with mushrooms and black truffles. It was delicious. We also shared a pizza as an appetizer and equally good.
I have been their a few times over the years and never had a disappointing experience. I like the ambiance and the in the warm weather sitting in their outside dining area.
Got seated at 7:25 w 7pm Rez White fish very bland and somewhat dry. Bronzino terrific as was special carpaccio w black truffles and arugula
Main dining room was VERY loud.
Our waitress was INCREDIBLE! She made the evening.
The food was average and, therefore, certainly not worth the prices.
The ambiance is wonderful....too bad the food wasn’t as good.
Had a good lunch!
The Italian sommelier was incredibly rude all night. The other waiters actually apologized to us on his behalf.
LOVE this restaurant - great food, service and ambiance.
All good great service friendly hip
I've been here three times and the food is always good, but the service not so much. The last time I dined here, the server delivered the wrong entree to my dining partner (she ordered branzino and was given halibut), my other dining partner ordered cauliflower instead of potatoes with her chicken and she was given potatoes, the same friend ordered Diet Coke was given regular... the food was good and for that reason I would come back, but the service was sub par at my last visit.
warm and friendly Italian .. good quality and friendly service. great addition to the Calabasas Commons
Good overall, not fantastic
We went for dinner on New Years Eve. I did not know there would be a DJ playing rap at loud levels. The noise level was very high. Nowhere on the Open Table page did it describe this as being a loud party. The food was good. The service was friendly but slow due the crowd.
always the neighborhood favorite, consistent delicious cuisine, friendly atmosphere
We have been to Toscanova many times, but this time was definitely our last. We had dinner reservations for 4 people on a Saturday night at 6 PM and arrived about 10 minutes early. It was not crowded. The maitre d' would not let us sit at our reserved table until our guests arrived at 6. Even if they had not shown up, this would have been our table. The maitre d's attitude indicated that we should be honored that he would allow us to sit down when our gusts showed up at 6 on the dot Incidentally, if he had allowed us to sit down, we would have ordered an appetizer, so we made sure we didn't order one when we finally got to the table. I'm just astonished at how uncordial and unwelcoming the whole thing was. The food? I ordered pasta with mushrooms, which was about 50% salt. My money is good anywhere, and if you're looking for Italian, there are much better restaurants at 3/4 the price and Zero attitude. Good riddance.
Service, ambiance, and food quality were exceptional.
We wanted a special dinner (last night of the holidays with all the kids home) and we got it. Three of us ventured ordering something not their usual orders, and two of us stayed with our usual orderd, and everybody truly enjoyed their entrée. Our bottle of wine was welcomed and opened and poured with good service, and everything else, from Cesar salads for the table to desserts, was great - as always.
