                                                                                              Though the ambience of this restaurant is exciting and very nearly like that of a European street side cafe, my wife and I do not believe that the quality of the food matched. This is an expensive French restaurant in a luxury mixed used development, but the items that we ordered did not live up to our hopes. Maybe we did not order the right things. The bouillabaisse that was offered to us off menu was nothing like the real thing. My wife is from the south of France.... we would know. Souffle for dessert was also odd. However, the bread and quiche were delicious and I imagine that some of the other entrees would have been great. Service and style were top notch all the same.

The service is very good. The cocktails are fine. The food is just OK; this is not where I go if I'm looking for an outstanding culinary experience. The value here is in the fun society/fashion scene.

                                                                                              Toulouse is a beautiful restaurant with a nice outdoor dining area, too. Their website advertised specifically that patrons could order a bottle of Nicolas Feuillatte as part of the Monday/Tuesday half price French wine special. When we ordered that bottle along with a dozen oysters as a starter, the manager informed us that the restaurant no longer offers Nicolas Feuillatte. No big deal—plenty of other Champagne options on the menu with which they could substitute. But instead of offering a substitution, they just said Nope—no Champagne offered on the special. We had a lovely dinner with two other great bottles of wine; it’s just a shame that the hospitality wasn’t there to honor what specifically was listed on the restaurant’s website specifically for that night of 17May. It felt like strange hospitality for such a nice restaurant.

                                                                                              The food was good but nothing to write home about, they seemed to be a bit understaffed (not the servers fault at all) but because of that my water glass went empty for most of the night. At that price point I expect a higher level of service. For me the music level was also a bit too high. We were seated on the far side of the patio (opposite the music) and it was too loud to carry on conversation.

Try the zucchini chips, the onion soup, and any of the salads for an amazing lunch. Meghan, our server was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu! The bistro salad needed more than just a very small sprinkle of the rougfort. The presentation of the steak tartar was fabulous as was the taste. Crab cakes were amazing. Very nice. Hostess was the only person acknowledging our anniversary. Waitress had no clue. Also the restaurant’s air conditioning must have been out - it was grossly hot. Terrible expensive experience.                                                                                               I've dined at Toulouse many times and this experience wasn't the best unfortunately. Not only did my salad come out wrong, I asked to substitute the cheese in the salad and requested an egg to be added to my chopped salad. I was charged $5 for an egg and $3 to substitute the cheese. When you're already paying $26 for a salad with chicken and then to add another $8 for a total of $34 for a salad, not worth the money and especially when your salad comes out wrong. It would have been nice for the waiter to inform me that if I want to change out cheeses and add an egg it's going to be an extra charge and that the charge is $8. The atmosphere out on the patio is still great but really need to work on the food.
