Great waitstaff, excellent food!
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Tournedos! From the complimentary champagne to the chocolate truffels and everything in-between, it was an amazing evening!
Hidden Gem! I have lived in Rochester for 7 years and had never even heard of this place. Definitely worth every cent. Mouth watering steak and sides. Soothing atmosphere and great service! We will definitely be back and will recommend in the future!
This was my first visit ever. This was the most amazing experience ever.
Always a wonderful experience. Will return soon! Food is great, services is prompt and caring and the environment is perfect!
Good was delicious and a nice quiet place to go for a date. My husband and I had a nice meal and service was great.
I will recommend Tournedos to family and friends. It is actually a descent location for special occasions
Every single thing we ordered was fantastic. We went for our anniversary and were greeted with complimentary champagne. The servers were very attentive. I can’t wait to go back.
We enjoyed the restaurant, the servers and especially the food. Wonderful experience.
Food and service were fantastic! Went to celebrate our anniversary.
We ordered the seafood bisque, calamari, surf & turf, and chocolate lava cake -- everything was delicious!
The staff was amazing and the food was delicious. One of my favorite restaurants and will be back
As always everything is perfect. Fort the host, to the full service and the incredible food. Best in Rochester every time! Leo is professional, knowledgeable but genuine. Great service thank you!!
They have mandatory valet parking when the lots are empty. Seemed very irresponsible to make someone get into your car during a pandemic when you can just park yourself.
We had the loveliest evening at Tournados. The cocktails were well made. Dinner was absolutely delicious. The serving size was more than adequate. Service was attentive except when we wanted the bill. The only negative thing was the Wedge salad was drowning in blue cheese dressing. I couldn’t eat it.
Perfect! We were here Saturday September 12 to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had booked a deluxe room for the night and dinner with friends at 7:00pm. The room was quite nice, clean, comfortable and well appointed. Dinner was great, and the service was excellent. Couldn't ask for a nicer evening. We all enjoyed the evening, thank you.
Have not been to Tournedos in a while. On the day she got married, I took my daughter and her new husband and his parents. Overall, a fantastic experience for all. Michael, our server, did a great job taking care of our needs and paid particular attention to my daughter, which I appreciated greatly. Food, for the most part, was excellent. I was slightly disappointed in my regular cut Waygu steak. Having eaten this several times, my expectations were high. Mine was a bit on the tough side (medium rare), but was cooked perfectly and was quite flavorful. Again, overall, a fantastic experience and we will be returning.
If one must go out after 4 months of quarantine this is a pretty damn good choice.
Amazing! Great experience
This was a great spot for a special occasion. The service was excellent!
Best restaurant in the area for a special romantic evening or occasion. Love everything about this place!
We were celebrating our son's birthday. Had a wonderful dinner... server was excellent. Great start to his 30th year!
10th anniversary dinner/nite out. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant to the moment we left, we were treated as a valued customer! It is expensive, but the food was VERY good and the service was just as good!
We sat on the patio and it was amazing. So beautiful, the service was impeccable, and the food was all cooked perfectly. Highly recommend.
Staff was great. Service prompt and friendly. Menu offerings don't seem to have changed much in forever. Food better than average but not sure it justifies the price. Better than Black and Blue if you are looking for steak. Veggies were overcooked and limited in options in this season of plenty of local produce in season. Food arrived warm, but not really as hot as I prefer. Nice variety of options in alcohol and desserts but again little changed.
Not interesting and not a great value.
Suggestions - add some new really creative or different options to the menu, lower prices, freshen things up a bit.
Our second time dining at Tournados. Food, wine and service are wonderful.
We went to tornados to get a special dinner out and because the reviews were so good.
Unfortunately, I can’t leave a strong review, but the experience we had could be due to the virus and people getting back into the swing of things.
Our service was okay, but a couple of times we didn’t get our cocktails and had to remind them my husband drinks martinis and he liked his cocktail. I got the spicy Rita. The first one was wonderful, but the second one wasn’t spicy and i asked the waitress to have them put spice in it- she was very nice but it was bought back in a soda tumbler tasting the same.
We ordered oysters and they were on a regular plate and were fishy in taste. The presentation wasn’t typical for a steak house nor was the taste. I got a beet and goat salad and the lettuce didn’t seem fresh and the beats did not taste fresh- again the presentation was odd for a nice restaurant. For an entree my husband got the porter house with onion rings. The steak was pretty good, but the onion rings were served on a cheesecake like style cone with paper. They were okay. Again, not typical. I ordered tuna steak. Which was okay in taste, but for 50 dollars again was lacking presentation, taste, and garnish.
I will say the deserts were very good. I got chocolate lava cake and my husband got cheesecake. That was by far the best part of the meal.
I like to review restaurants good or bad. But honestly we left feeling regretful we just spent 300.00 on below average meal, so I cannot say I will return or recommend it.
Excellent. Steak was cooked perfectly (bone-in tenderloin). Sides were delicious.... omg, creamed spinach never tasted so good! Definitely get the Béarnaise sauce - the steak doesn't need it, but it's amazing! Waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. Pricey, but a great night for people who like to be treated well and enjoy really good food.
This was our first time at Tournedo's despite being on our "list" for a long time. We were not disappointed. It was a great experience and the food and wine was exceptional. We can't wait to be back!
First of all, the service was outstanding - pleasant, attentive and efficient. The dining room was old school lovely. We were amused and appreciative that each air conditioning floor vent included a tile that could be placed over it if the cool air was too much, and we happily deployed them. If you love steak, this is the place for you! To be able to choose between Wagyu and dry aged was a delightful dilemma! They both turned out to be outstanding meals. The burrata and fresh fig appetizer was one of the best starters I have ever had - I might come back sooner just for that dish. The only disappointment was the Zuppa de Pesce, which included unopened mussels and overcooked scallops and shrimp. The broth, however, was delicious. The prices are appropriate for the quality of the food and the dining experience, but they are not for the faint of heart. We will return here before long for the best steak you can find in Rochester!
We went to Tournedos to celebrate our 25th anniversary and we were not disappointed. We were inside (although outside is available) to avoid impending showers. Staff was all masked and tables were seated to employ social distancing. We were greeted and offered water (mineral , still, sparking) and complimentary champagne. Hand sanitizer was offered at each table.
Appetizers were delicious: we ordered calamari and a French onion soup.
Entrees: tenderloin with bernaise, horseradish, house steak sauces. Steaks were cooked to perfection and sauces were all delicious, although we thought the house steak was a little sweet.
Sides: roasted garlic Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes and onion rings. My daughter stated she could eat all the brussel sprouts instead of a dessert they were so delicious! Onion rings were light, crispy and served with a mildly spicy sauce. Potatoes were creamy and heavenly.
Desserts: creme brûlée, chocolate ganache dome, chocolate lava cake- all fantastic and made in house.
Overall a lovely dinner, well worth the price- it is expensive. Staff was outstanding and even though it was our first trip inside a restaurant during the pandemic we felt comfortable. Would definitely recommend!
It was a very classy, relaxing & great vibe. The service was great & so was the food. Will def recommend.
Great food and service. Great for fine dining
Never disappoints. I wish I could order everything on the menu at once. This is my all time favorite restaurant!
Great service. Hand sanitizer on the table. Oysters were delicious. Told the waitress it was my boyfriend’s birthday and he got a free dessert
Have always had a great meal with excellent service at Tournedos.
Incredible food! Went to Tournedos for my anniversary dinner and the Wagyu rib eye did not disappoint at all! It is pricey, but it is to be expected with a legitimate Wagyu steak. The garlic roasted brussel sprouts were equally as delicious! I could have eaten an order just as an entree. And, I can't recommend the creme brulee enough as well!
It was a nice and quiet environment. They did a great job accommodating guests with the guidelines set in place for COVID-19.
Service was very attentive and had several happy anniversary wishes from the wait staff! They definitely care about their patrons. Because of their small acts of kindness that I view as large acts, they will have my repeat business for my special occasions.
As always, our meal at Tournedos was delicious. The tenderloin is amazingly tender and everything else from the champagne, cocktails, risotto, brussel sprouts and desserts were delectable. The ambience is always classy and the service is always great. Tournedos is definitely at the top of our favorites list
Everything was delicious. Service was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back.
We enjoyed it very much. There was a few extra touches that were great, awesome idea! Food was very good. We sat outside, it was a beautiful evening. We hadn’t been in a long time and this was a much better experience. Thank you!
