Please note this restaurant is up two flights of stairs and due to the age of the building there is no lift/elevator

The food was delicious. My husband is a steak lover and he said it was beautifully cooked. The food was well presented and tasty. The value for money was good too. Waiting staff were friendly and helpful. Things I would like to note… for a fine dining experience, I felt the table and chairs were a bit shabby, with chips in woodwork. A tablecloth on the table would have been preferred. Whilst waiting staff were lovely, some did not have a knowledge of what was on the menu, particularly the catch of the day. Otherwise, we had a lovely evening and even received a surprise dessert for our special occasion.

Arrived and no other diners but staff made us stand with a menu to decide whether we wanted lunch or afternoon tea. They have no disabled access up to the restaurant area which wasnt disclosed, and there was a putrid smell in the entire room which was so strong I asked to leave and dine in another area. I was told to go to the bar downstairs, not a single staff member was there and when I went to reception to ask she the offered for me to eat at the reception area!! AVOID!! Place is like a nursing home from the 1970’s and needs a proper clean
