Chef-owner, Giuseppe Naccarelli presents a seasonally inspired menu of classic Italian dishes with a modern twist, influenced by the cuisine of his native region of Abruzzo.
A Trabocco is a unique fishing pier found along the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo. Architect and Designer Lev Weisbach of Weisbach Architecture|Design was inspired by the beautiful Trabocchi of Abruzzo when he created his spectacular design. With its reclaimed wood ceilings, dramatic copper encased fireplace, and modern bar Trabocco is warm and welcoming yet strikingly dramatic and modern.

The entire menu looked great and our server offered so many special dishes, it was hard to decide what to get. My friend and I ultimately ordered the grilled octopus starter, which was amazing, seafood stew, and grilled rib eye. Tiramisu was an awesome choice for dessert.

We will definitely go back to try their home made pastas and pizza next time.

Food, service and ambiance as excellent as before covid. 3 adults 1 toddler outside seating for birthday lunch. Very comfortable & spacious. Grilled octopus w/potatoes, fried calamari, beet & watercress salad, oxtail ravioli, pasta stuffed w/butternut squash, ossobucco, tiramisu, zabaglione w/fresh berries, and espresso over gelato were all amazing! Delicious and beautifully presented. Very warm, gracious & efficient service.

Food, drinks and atmosphere are excellent. We sat at the kitchen bar and enjoyed learning from chef Gillespie, who's also the owner. He was very friendly and attentive.

The olives are the best I've ever had and the carpaccio is really good as was the barratta caprese. I felt the pork belly could have used a bit more seasoning and rendered a bit more but still excellent as were the lamb skewers.

Probably the best part was the whole grilled fish with cherry tomato compote. Again, I prefer a bit more salt but that's me. Still excellent and perfectly cooked.

Great cappuccinos and the flourless chocolate cake was creamy and delicious.

This was my third time at Trobacco and likely my last. I have friends who rave about it and travel from other parts of the Bay to come eat here. However, none of the times I’ve eaten here have I been impressed. The pizzas are not great, although they should be and I hate that thawed are served uncut and one is given a huge clumsy cutting tool which take up a lot of small table real estate. The waiter has handled it and now so will you as well as the pizza you will be putting in your mouth. Our waiter also had just previously touched his mask with the same hand.he was very charming and dramatic while telling us of the specials and was pretty quick to bring more drinks for my friend, but I was never offered a refill of iced tea or any kind of sweetener. I asked for more ice which should have come out with my friends second Chardonnay but I had to ask a second time it was a very hot day and we were seated in a tent which was not at all cool and had zero ambience. My pizza needed flavor...no salt to be found anywhere...asked for red pepper flakes but was almost done by the time they arrived. We ordered calamari which also had no taste. Fried well and not oily but tasteless as was the marinara served on the side.
Nearly $100 for a tasteless pizza, calamari appetizer, a tomato and arugula salad and 2 drinks. I’d rather drive into SF and have a real Italian meal in a place that isn’t in a suburban shopping mall

Sat outside for lunch; portable heaters made it comfortable despite breezy day. Started with beet salad; excellent as always. Greatly appreciated kitchen splitting it for us--hate when you're just handed an extra plate and it's DIY. Oxtail ravioli was very good; glad to see it is now a regular item on the menu. Liked that the chef went back to a lighter sauce with it; it's quite filling and doesn't need a rich sauce. Spouse had the del Trabocco seafood sauce but with gnocchi instead of pasta by request. Seafood was fresh and a good amount. Marinara very tasty. Finished with the zabaglione - our fav dessert at Trabocco; they make it with Marsala and fresh berries and it's the most luscious soft custard you've ever eaten! Service excellent as always. We are happy that Trabocco has continued serving lunch; so many restaurants have dropped it as less profitable.

Perfect as usual! We ordered four different entrées and a bottle of wine. Everything was prepared to perfection! Attached is a photo of my favorite all-time go-to dish at this restaurant. Try the Piatto Trabocco if you love grilled seafood and spinach.

We had a great time! I was very surprised and impressed with the host who changed our table on their own so I could feel more comfortable (I'm very tall and they felt that I was crammed in a 2 seater table ). The waiter was funny and charming and never rushed us. Beautiful and warm outdoor seating. Great drinks great food - the pizza and salmon were both exceptional. A minor thing- Tiramisu was ok, nothing to write home about. But I would definitely go back and definitely recommend.

It was my wife’s Birthday and I had made my reservation 2 weeks in advance. They sat us in a corner table for two. I asked to be moved—which the owner happily accommodated. We just were moved two tables from where we were. I’m sure covid has something to do with that. Service and food was outstanding. The chef even came to sing my wife happy birthday. Overall good experience.

Giuseppe, the owner, makes a point of coming around and greeting all of the customers. The food never disappoints! My favorite for lunch is the panino salmone.. it’s is a generous sandwich with arugula and tomato with pesto on a ciabatta rolls, watercress salad and French fries.. lots of food. Everything tastes fresh. The restaurant has COVID-19:protocols in place .. outdoor dining with tables spaced apart.Our dining experience was relaxing as we were celebrating a birthday. The flourless chocolate cake was like eating a deep dark rich piece of fudge!

Overall all wonderful dining experience for a family of 5. Our server Marshal was absolutely on point with his recommendations from the vino thru deserts! The rib eye was a generous cut that was seared/grilled beautifully to a med/rare but the actual cut was not as aged as advertised and choice as I had hoped for- but nonetheless, it was tasty. T
The burrata appetizer over heirloom garden fresh basil/ tomatoes was absolutely fantastic!! Lastly, the lasagna was as good as any if better than mom’s!!
One minor critique and not a criticism, is that it never hurts to have a little candlelight at dinner - but no candlelight available in an Italian restaurant... maybe next time.

It was great to be eating in a restaurant again, and Trabocco does everything very well. We split a salad that featured grilled pears, and then we each had salmon. Hers was grilled, and mine was baked; both were excellent. And the desserts were wonderful as well. My wife had an affogato -- they don't call it that, but it was espresso over vanilla ice cream. I had spumoni ice cream. All was great.

Just wonderful food. The seafood stew/soup is beyond outstanding. The other dishes at our table, the risotto of the day and the agnolotti in squash purée were also fabulous. Salad of the season, Inverniale, was shared and very fresh and lovely. The Aglianico went seamlessly with our food. The inside eating space is too spare and devoid of decoration to be inviting. However the outdoor areas are quite welcoming and nicely lit and warmed—more preferable to my taste. Waitstaff is excellent and well trained. Total surprise was the gorgeously presented tiramisu as a treat for my birthday. Though I don’t eat sweets I had a bite of this confection and it was quite excellent and not too sweet. Nice people, safe environment, plenty of close parking and well...the just wonderful food!

The menu listed a 2017 bottle of Austin Hope Paso Robles Cab for $60. However, the bottled opened and served was 2019 and the manager refused to acknowledge their mistake but instead blamed it on the distributor. The dinner (Osso Buco) was exceptional but the wine and the manager’s refusal to make an adjustment we’re not. I didn’t drink the opened bottle but paid for it anyway and tipped the kind and thoughtful waiter for the entire bill.

For an almost pre-pandemic experience, get yourself to Trabocco! They've been open almost continuously since June so they have the expertise to safely seat and serve guests. The menu is still large and interesting; we shared the roasted beet salad and the agnolotti con zucca before enjoying our separate entrees: the incredible fish stew and one of the fish specials, roasted salmon. Everything was excellent and we can't wait to go back.
