The TraTra menu is made up of French dishes with a modern and inventive twist. It is food that is designed to be shared, from snacks to larger plates and platters.

The menu was created by French chef and cookery writer Stephane Raynaud, known for his quirky mouth-watering dishes.

You are welcome to pop down for a plate of charcuterie and a few small dishes or settle in for the evening and explore the menu further.

At the bar, you’ll find fantastic value wines, the majority available by the glass, plus great cocktails and beers.

From early until late there is a DJ playing a suitably stylish mix of tunes from the classic to the modern - all part of the TraTra experience.

An family evening to celebrate a birthday at Tratra left us feeling disappointed. The decor was nice and the food was good, especially the lamb but the service was appalling, even though the restaurant was not busy. We had to ask for menus, we were brought the wrong drinks and had to wait a long time for our food. Two waitresses were just wondering around inattentively and we kept having to get their attention to call them to our table! Eventually the head waiter took over and things improved. I don’t think we will go back here, shame.

The food was fantastic, everything we had was very flavoursome. However, I didn't expect the restaurant to be so empty for a Thursday evening at 7pm. It didn't pick up later on either, which meant the ambience wasn't so great (but the table service was extremely attentive as a result). This is the only reason I give it fewer stars. I prefer restaurants that are not too loud so you can have a good conversation, but this was almost uncomfortable, with waiters hanging around doing little.

The worst meal and service I have ever experience. We were told after receiving a bill for almost £500 that this was not a fine dinning restaurant. Will never go there again, such a pity this restaurant used to be great, when run by other operators !!!!

The wine good but very expensive, the quantity of food good but again very expensive for what it was even with the 50% off food offer. And as usual adding 12.5% to something already pricey made it all a bit silly really.

Really impressed with the food, service, and overall night. Our table was booked at 7.45, we left at 12.30! Its not cheap, though not crazy, £50 per head without drink for 4 courses. Wine list is a little pricey, the more expensive ones being better value (less % mark up). Will definitely go again.

Great meal with quality ingredients and large portion sizes. With the special offer, the food was fantastic value for money (wine not so fantastic value, but it was a delicious drop!). I went with friends and we celebrated a Birthday. We had a wonderful evening- the service was also very attentive.

great place for a catch up - we went as a group of 3 taking advantage of the 50% off food option. We had an early 630 table so it was quiet but thats to be expected. we had oysters, a main each, a desert each and a bottle of wine and it was £30 each! cant get much better than that. the service was amazing, would thoroughly recommend.

We had a good time and very good meal ! It's a carnivore menu but suits for vegetarians (fish & seafood, there was one 100% vegetarian main course) as well. One friend is vegan and the chef was ok to prepare his meal in a vegan way.
Pour les français carnivores, demandez votre viande moins cuite qu'à votre habitude, les anglais la cuisent plus... dommage pour la bavette.
The place has a good atmosphere too !

The location was great. Just 2 mins walk from shoreditch high street station.
I really enjoyed my meal from starters to dessert. The fritters were very delicious . The portion of the food was good .
Service was excellent !
With the 50% off food, it was very good value!
Would definitely recommend this restaurant !

The front of house staff were great and accommodated my table request. The service was very quick, but the big let down was the food.There wasn’t a great deal of balance to the menu (red meat and game heavy)- but we knew that before we arrived. The issue was that the actual execution was poor.

My snails with chestnuts and walnuts was the highlight but my brill as fish of the day was overcooked and boring with a faintly umami sauce and tenderstem broccoli on the raw side of al dente. Other than a couple of girolles, there was no other accompaniment, nor was one suggested. I left half.

My wife chose the pork stew with “forgotten” vegetables (turns out these were just carrots, parsnips and other standard root veg). The stew was actually a large pan of pork cooked different ways (terrine, sausage and I think belly) with whole vegetables and a small amount of thin gravy in the bottom. This was probably an attempt to be rustic and traditional but the result was bland, tepid, greasy pork and crunchy vegetables that my wife had to spoon onto her own plate haphazardly. It was simply one of the worst dishes either of us have ever had in a French restaurant.

We felt sorry for the waiting staff, who were courteous, quick and probably bored. The place was empty at 7-8:30pm on a Saturday night. We left without braving dessert.

It’s a real shame because I had a couple of fantastic meals at the old Boundary.
