Trattoria Milano - Eataly Toronto
Though the restaurant was quite empty, the service was fantastic and staff was very attentive.
Food was great and atmosphere was wonderful :)
I was disappointed. Everything was pretty mediocre and for the prices not a good value at all. I expected a lot more from Eataly. The quantities were large, but the quality was not there.
Ordered the Tomahawk, steak was great however thought a breaded steak was out of the ordinary (Milanesa). Just did not think a cut like that would be breaded.
Overall great place for special occasions.
Overpriced for average food.
Service was slow and we never received the 2nd beer we ordered.
Service was not very good - order took a long time for server to take and dishes post meal were not cleared very quickly, our waiter did not even bring bill, was brought by the hostess
Great food and a nice quiet restaurant for talking.
After Eataly in Vegas this was great as well. Would prefer for the staff to wear white jackets in Toronto it would be a lot classier
This was my second trip to Eataly Toronto and I’m very pleased with last night’s dining experience. Your pear-infused risotto is off the charts, sooo good!
The menu was very limited so it was difficult for our party of 4 to find something that everyone would enjoy. The restaurant is located in a small space so the noise level was extreme to the point that our party couldn’t hear each other, the waiter had difficulty hearing us and we couldn’t hear them. Although we live in the neighborhood, unfortunately we would not choose to return.
Food was so-so. I expected better. Gnocchi was bland and tasteless. Cotoletta was good though.
Loved it! Wonderful food and ambience
We wanted to know we had a table within Eataly, so made a reservation at Trattoria Milano, and really enjoyed our dining experience there. Everything was wonderful, the food, the service, the ambience. I will definitely go back!
Went with a friend. Ordered the fish of the day. At $28 i expected a whole fish nut received only half. No sides provided. Had to order vegetable on the side.
It was our first time eating here and we loved it!!! Our server was very sweet and attentive. Food was delicious! We had the Tajarin Al Ragu di Vitello and Salsiccia do Cinghiale e Amarone and the Tiramisu! Our friends were running late due to the snow storm and we had a 9:15pm reservation but all of the staff were extremely understanding and waited. Respectfully we ordered immediately when they came and even as we approached close (11pm), they never rushed us to leave. So thank you to the team at Milano! We definitely will be coming back!
More intimate and quiet than the other restaurants at Eataly
Wines are special.
Some tables are cramped which is not ideal, so we gave our table up for two seats at the bar. Great choice, Jade runs a chill bar.
Dined here 3 times/ this stands out -
Pink radicchio & escarole salad.
Great risotto: Salsiccia di Cinghiale e Amarone wine.
Housemade 40 Egg Yolk String Pasta, Ragù, Sage, Parmigiano Reggiano® DOP.
Osso Buco great.
Menu additions >>Bring in some cannolis, berries and pistachios!
An excellent restaurant experience! Great wine list - quantity and quality. Both my invited guest and I shall return!!
We did have a wonderful meal and great service but the tables are way too close together. It was difficult o hear two intimate conversations, on Ron each side of us. A little more distance would be appreciated.
Carne Cruda, Sperlani Fritti and Risotto were fantastic! Love em!
Fusilli alle Cozze was too salty. Presentation of "Pollo" has room for improvement. Bread was cold.
Radicchio salad was waaaaaaay too salty
Service was great and food was very good but not totally consistent. Ravioli with veal and sage butter was delicious but gnocchi was so so. Wine prices were too high ..$32 for a glass of sparkling wine and $90 bottles being more the norm - there are lots of great Italian restaurants in Toronto with better food and value - not sure I’ll give it a second try.
As someone who works as a server in another restaurant I was really disappointed. The food was cold, we weren’t offered Parmesan on our pasta, and the server Liz clearly wanted the experience to be over with. We had continued our conversation for 10 mins after the bill was paid and the manager came over and told us the table was needed for a reservation therefore we had to go. We weren’t told there was a time limit when we arrived. There were empty tables around us and the table next to us was clearly not being rushed. It was not a good experience and I wouldn’t come back.
Overpriced for Italian food. Veal that was fried and breaded for $65 was chewy, almost like gnawing your way Bear Grylls style.
Great service. Salumi board was good, mains were ok - we ordered the saffron bone morrow risotto and veal ragu pasta.
Very enjoyable but a little expensive. Our waiter was very good, food was very good.
Amazing food, knowledgeable staff, overall great experience. Difficult at times to hear dinner guest across the table.
We can’t wait to go back! The restaurant was outstanding and the Eataly concept is ingenious 👍🏻👍🏻
Our second time dining here. The NY strip is fantastic, the saffron risotto is perfect. For larger groups, the ossobuco is a MUST. So flavorful and tender. The service is above par, highly recommend and will be back
Was blown away at the quality of the food. I don't think my husband or I was disappointed with anything. The service was great, and you always had someone checking on you at your table. Definitely planning on another visit to try some of the other things on the menu!
Nice Vibe and nice foods
Exceptionally attentive service, wonderful menu, excellent wine (and the sommelier replaced the bottle that was corked - before we even tasted it). Delicious Food from northern Italy.
Beautiful atmosphere, quiet and cozy. Risotto , veal, polenta, sides and pasta were great - Black cod was tasteless and bland, a disappointment. Stick to the 'specialties' and you will enjoy it.
Wonderful evening. Food and service were excellent. Was initially concerned as we had heard that coffee and desert were not available in the other restaurants, but this one is definitely full service
Highly recommend
too expensive for the quality of the meal; my pasta came tepid, and slightly dried out on top as if it had been sitting under a warming light.
Food was amazing, so much flavor and a different variety from other resturants. A little pricey for the quantity but worth every bite i would defintely go back. Service was great, everyone was friendly.
This is an excellent dinner spot. The menu is varied and offers relatively unique options. The service is so excellent, and allows you to enjoy the terrific ambiance. Work your way through the menu and wine list but leave room to savour the dessert options. We had a bottle of orgabic wine and five menu options and the bill was still under $200 with a 20% tip. Great value!
Excellent food in a somewhat cramped environment; tables are quite close together and you might hear about the relationship issues of the couple next to you. Servers mean well; they offer to comp dishes to compensate for mistakes, but make sure you are not overcharged on other items. It was the day after their opening; we'll see in a few weeks.
