I booked my husband birthday party of 10 in advance. They served our food except my husband’s and the waiters did not even notice. We had to start eating without him enjoying his meal that came out 20 minutes after . He was given a free glass of wine and small salad for the inconvenience, but should not have charged for his meal . The service was ok , not as elevated as I experienced a year ago. The food was good , but my husband was not impressed, I wonder why.

We never actually got to our table. We had reservations for 8:15 pm on a Friday. They were unable to seat us until 9 pm. We left before that. Very disappointed.

The vibe of this place was lovely. It was busy, but for a good reason…the service was lovely. In celebrating a birthday, we got a card and a complimentary dessert. They were very thorough with nut/shellfish allergies. Our waitress was very sweet, just involved enough to take care of us but not overbearing. The bread and pasta is made in house daily and it tastes like it. The drinks were well made and with great preparation. I will be back for some cacio e pepe for sure!

Trattoria Sofia was lovely. It was my second visit this month and I brought new guests to try the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu. Our waitperson, Doug, was attentive and helpful, describing what various dishes were. My guests had the beet salad on my recommendation, and almost licked the plates clean! The whipped ricotta was excellent, but definitely meant to share. The chicken parm was perfectly cooked and the sea bass was delightful. The dining room is lovely and I look forward to eating in the patio when the weather is cooler. Added bonus: a parking lot!!
