Sunday: 12:00 - 21:00
overall it was good but we possibly chose the pre theatre menu option which was depleted by the removal of the pork belly .Having said that the hock starter was superb as was the seafood.
The service was superb and at £35 for 2 inc drinks it represented great value
The ambience was ok if a little under whelming as is the decor/furniture but we will revisit and try the full menu
Great staff and succulent food. Very good value for money.
Good food, small but appealing menu.
Staff very friendly and helpful, would definitely go again if in Cambridge.
The service was a good balance between attentive and respectful distance.
Food was good quality for the price.
Would go again and highly recommended
Excellent as always. Great value, friendly staff and fantastic food
Really lovely food which was beautifully presented. The service was excellent - our waiters and waitresses were polite and friendly. They were very accommodating when we brought a birthday cake and even looked after it for us until we picked it up later as we had some shopping to do. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends.
Excellent. Excellent. Excellent. Fabulous champagne, exquisite food and amazing service. Thank you for a memorable special evening.
Ate here with friends from the US recently and had a great time. The food was excellent and everyone thought it was extraordinary value and not pretentious or overpriced. Service a bit slow but OK. One of us has been very ill with a poor appetite but was allowed to have the Kid's Menu which proved great value and good fun.
We came here for my partner’s birthday. The friendly service and food was excellent and very good value considering!
I had stated on the booking that it was my partner’s birthday. Without reminding them a complimentary personalised dessert was brought out. I was soo impressed.
We will definitely be back and I will recommend to all of my friends and family.
Just perfect. Superb food at a reflective price. Great service: attentive and friendly but not overbearing at all. Recommended.
Trinty is consistent, which is rare for a restaurant.
The menu has been updated since our last visit our old favourites have been replaced with even more delicious fresh summery ingredients that looked and tasted amazing.
Our starters included fresh oysters, crispy hens eggs and the ham hock. The mains included the hake, the tuna and the chicken all were delicious.
All the food and drinks were excellent and great value for money too.
From start to finish - just fantastic. Food was the best I’d had in a long time.
Situated in one of the most pleasant and historic streets in Cambridge. This restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere ideally suited to that special occasion or for any other. The menu is well thought out and offers good quality food that is reasonably priced. The staff are attentive and always on hand to advise. Definitely a restaurant worthy of a visit.
Lovely food and service all at very reasonable price for a city centre restaurant.
We have been here many times and as yet we have never been disappointed. We will be back again soon.
Excellent food and service in very pleasant restaurant in Cambridge City Centre. Good value for money.
Obviously busy but very attentive staff and excellent service. Menu choices rather limited but most enjoyable
This is the second time we have eaten here, absolutely brilliant. Food is excellent & staff are great.
Scallops starter was superb, Cannon of Beef was not as tender as expected. Healthy small portions.
Took my niece to Cambridge University for her summer program and had a great lunch at the Trinity. The service was great, and the food was delicious. Everything about this restaurant is good. I'd definitely return one day.
My wife and myself were made very welcome when we arrived. The staff were attentative and very friendly making for a wonderful dining environment. The selection of food available suits all tastes with a particular emphasis on fish dishes for the alacart but with differing offerings for the lunch menu. The food arrived in a timely manner and was hot and very tasty and quantities just right.
A wonderful dining experience in a friendly environment with exceptional staff that look after you.
Fabulous menu. We could have eaten anything wonderful flavours. Great service! Can't recommend it too strongly!
The service was good. But there was a fly flying around during our dinner, which is quite annoying. We were also allocated to a seat next to a wall. We were two people. There were more tables in the middle of the restaurant available. No idea why we had to sit at the corner.
We needed to lunch somewhere before dropping our son off on a course and happened upon a listing for Trinity. Very glad we did! I called en route from a motorway traffic jam and they kept our nice window table until we arrived. All the staff were charming - attentive and humorous. We were given tap water and lovely olive-oil bread immediately.
We all felt we’d eaten very well. To start, the ham hock terrine with black pudding arrived looking a bit like a jumbo deep-fried Mars bar and proved to be full of flavour inside the crispy exterior. Our son’s Puy lentil and goat curd was a lighter, less intense alternative. Two of us then had the beautifully cooked cannon of beef with a mouthwatering slice of mushroom covered pommes Anna. My husband’s chicken was also delicious - tender and perfectly cooked with a nice selection of vegetables too. We all had different desserts which were devoured: the ganache with mango and lime was extraordinarily good.
All in all, a really enjoyable experience and I would definitely go back when next in Cambridge.
Great attitude of staff. Not gushing, not snobbish just perfect. If any suggestion it would be a little more garnish with the chicken as you get lots of chicken and not a lot of garnish.
No problem with anything really - food good, service good, environment good. Not completely blown away by anything either. A nice meal in a nice restaurant.
Very good atmosphere. The food was really good, and the oysters... outstanding! You must try them. Raw, fried or grilled. And you must try the stout beer they suggested with the oysters. It is a bit expensive but it is worth it every penny. They also have a good (and affordable) wine selection. The only (minor) complaint was the fries I asked as a side dish were frozen, something unexpected in a establishment of this category, but after telling the waiter about it they apologised, thank us and remove them from the bill. A very nice move. I really liked my experience at Trinity.
Lovely food and friendly staff, couldn’t fault anything
This was one of our best meals in Cambridge!
Good food and excellent staff made it a good evening
The service was fantastically attentive and the food delicious. A lot of effort had gone into the presentation of each dish. The portions are a little on the small side so it's ideal for a light meal rather than a hearty banquet! Our visit was a little marred by a strange smell in the building that suggested maybe there had been a leak somewhere - otherwise very pleasant.
The overall experience was excellent, it was a Saturday lunch and not too busy but the service was pleasant and attentive without being overbearing. The food was full of varied flavors and textures, very nicely presented and on the menu there was a good selection without there being too much choice. We were very impressed with the children's menu in terms of the options, quality and value. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would both gladly return and recommend to others. Well done!
Very well look after. We had the set menu (up to 7pm) which all tasted great & was extremely good value for money. The chef accommodated a request for a change, so full marks there.
This is an amazing gem right in the heart of Cambridge. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is just amazing. Lunch menu is also amazing value. Highly recommend.
Food was fantastic! My family was traveling here and enjoyed the meal:)
Excellent food , very well presented and beautifully cooked. Service was friendly & attentive as well as being precise and timely. A delicious range of options - though slightly more limited for vegetarians.
We were having lunch before attending our son's graduation and we really couldn't have picked a better place for the occasion.
We enjoyed a delicious meal at Trinity, the service was great. We were on a tight schedule on my son's graduation day but the food was served promptly which enabled us to relax and enjoy our meal without rushing. I also thought for the quality of the food served it was excellent value.
Excellent service, comfortable environment, good food and wine.
Great location. Service was not rushed. The champagne menu should be explored. Had a wonderful rose. Our meals were both tasty and well presented. Wish I would have had room for dessert. Will definitely be going back when in town next.
