Very nice restaurant! The staff were quite kind and helpful; food was very nice and tasty. Very good memory.
Excellent food and service. Loved the wine that was recommended and every course was great. The chicken was one of the best I've had. It's hard to get a great, not dry chicken breast and this one did not disappoint. Coconut cheesecake was delicious on its own... the side lemon sauce and fruit wasn't needed to enhance it.
We very rarely get to Cambridge but on a short visit from Scotland my sister recommended the restaurant. An excellent choice, the food, service and ambiance were all excellent, and very good value for money was very good, the calf liver was particularly enjoyed by all three of us! We will try to get back
great food, Octopus and Scallops amazing.
Went with friends... Not a great service, food was ok & atmosphere wasn’t great...
Nice atmosphere and good value staff were pleasant, if they did a few tweaks I’m sure they could get a rosette. Proper napkins, not laminating the menus and get the waiters to explain the dishes when they serve. Good would go back.
Excellent food with good attentive staff. Thorougly enjoyed ourselves.
Beautiful scallops, black pudding and pork. Falafel with the cauliflower was dry but made up by splendid pud! LOVELY waiting staff :)
Beautiful food making a magical meal. Would go again in an instant.
We thoroughly enjoyed it. The waiters were really nice considering that one of us was more than 30 min late.
We will go back.
Would definately reccomend. Went on a quiet monday evening but still had atmosphere in the restaurant. Starters were beautiful and my lamb main was stunning. Staff very attentive but not overbearing, know when to leave customers to it. Lovely post dinner suprise too!!
Thanks for a lovely evening
Portions are not generous and price is not cheap but food and service are spot on! Recommended
Braised octopus was to die for - delicious and well presented food and great wine and beverage list to complement.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Trinity. In fact I think it’s the best place we’ve eaten in Cambridge and we’ve done all the posh ones. Ambience was great, chilled but polished service and excellent food. Pre theatre if you’re in early enough looks like great value. Would definitely go back.
Good service, good wine choices and good food. However limited choice and expensive for what it is. Other local restaurants with same service but more food choices for better value available. Won't be returning unless someone else pays!!
nice eatery, good service, very good food but too small portions (starter, main course, dessert and coffee) to feel full .. the taste and presentation of the dishes were great.
Perhaps we were unlucky but we didn't enjoy Trinity. The service was OK and the restaurant is a pleasant enough place to be, but the food was way below par. The starters took and age to appear and the main courses were lukewarm, The side of vegetables (which the waiting staff forgot to serve) was stone cold. We complained but to no effect. Oh, and we felt that it was expensive for what it was.
We had a super meal at Trinity. The food was excellent quality and staff were very attentive.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would love to visit again.
Lovely restaurant. Our second visit and it didn't disappoint. Really attentive staff and of course most importantly the food was excellent. A bit on the pricey side but I think you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in Cambridge.
comfortable, intimate downstairs. Very tasty food well presented. Service was good but at times a little slow. I asked for coffee with my Blondie brownie desert but it was served well before which made the desert seem a little too heavy. An enjoyable experience at £40 a head.
Usually the servos is excellant as is the food.
Tables very close together consequently haveing a conversation with guests very difficult.
A lovely lunch for a friend ‘s birthday. Perfect setting. We had the set menu and each course was delicious. Have been several times and each time it has been excellent.
Excellent food, mussels delicious. served in modern suroundings, staff very helpful
This was my second visit and again, a very nice experience. Great food, very efficient and polite service, good choices for wine and champagne, and a nice ambience for a quite and pleasant conversation.
Lovely food. Tables a little too close together for our comfort - could easily hear other conversations. We were not offered bread despite it appearing on the bill. The food, however, was excellent and could not be faulted.
Would all have been 5 stars but for the reception we received when we arrived with a buggy for our baby. Rather brusque: well we were not expecting a buggy!! Some customer service training should be given to your greeter at the door. Would have been more pleasant to say we can accomplish you at such and such a table to help with the buggy. Waitress and food was very good.
We visited for a romantic birthday meal. The food was beautifully presented, enjoyably quirky and tasty, but the service was the best part. Our waitress was absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you!
Excellent quality food in a relaxed atmosphere with attentive staff.
Superb experience, will definitely return.
Very expensive for the size of portions. All veg extra. Service slow.
Need more exciting vegetarian menu options and larger main course portions
Took my mum there and we had a lovely time, great food and great wines. Will go again!
Nice foods and nice service. Especially thank you for free ice-cream for anniversary with cute decoration.
The atmosphere is very nice - I did not like the very steep stairs down to the lower dining room, this could present a problem for some people. The booths were great and the service good apart from being neglected towards the end. The food was well cooked but dry, we had to ask for Jus which was when delivered was a basic gravy not a bespoke one to match the food. I had rump of lamb which is quite dense and really needed help. All of our party of 5 ( 3 pork and 2 lamb dishes) need more moisture. So Chef not everyone likes dry food! The wine list was ok but the bar was severely lacking in in popular choices. No Jameson, No Cointreau, No Grand Marnier and limited choice of mixers only Schweppes tonic (no Fever Tree!). I was told by the waiter when ordering 'we are not a cocktail bar'. An interesting remark! Overall it was a enjoyable but needs to balance the dishes a little more and use hot plates as the food was a little cool for my liking. Finally, I would recommend home made triple fried chips in place of current catering ones this would elevate the standard considerably. That is of course if Trinity wants to be taken seriously.
We went there for my birthday lunch. The place was smaller than we expected. The interiors were quite minimalistic but had its own charm. The food was top-notch and the short waiting-times were a bonus. Definitely worth a visit. Hopefully next time the waitress won't comment that my dress looks more expensive than it is!!
Excellent food and service, will definitely return for an intimate meal
As usual really delicious food. We had oysters to start served raw, then the breaded & deep fried confit chicken leg with mushroom purée, pickled enoki mushrooms, russian kale and red wine jus - such tasty chicken! Then pan-roasted halibut fillet, langoustine, mussel & cumin bisque, roasted baby gem heart, herb oil and the wild mushroom & Westcombe cheddar risotto with pan-fried mushrooms, truffle oil and watercress, both were good the bisque particularly so. For desert we shared the blood orange posset, orange curd, brown sugar & honey biscuit which wasn't too sweet.
The staff are lovely, knowledgeable about the food and wines. Wines are good and reasonably priced.
Becoming a firm favourite, with excellent food, a good, well-priced wine list and professionalism throughout. The most recent occasion was for my nephew's birthday, and we had a perfect evening.
Trinity is a lovely place, the soup and the bread are a highlight - delicious tomato soup and homemade foccacia! There were lovely options for vegetarians but perhaps they need to do a few vegan alternatives. The staff are friendly and welcoming and overall it was a really great experience and a very nice place to sit and watch the world go by. You could take a well behaved child there (none of mine..) but it is more a lovely place for couples or groups of adults. Really lovely food!
A first visit to Trinity but not the last. The Lunchtime menu was excellent with great variety of choice, very high quality and great value. The restaurant is small without being cramped which is important and the service was very attentive, informed, charming and kind. We had a lovely time and all agreed that we would return.
This was the second time we’ve been to Trinity and once again it was fantastic! Delicious food, great service and wonderful atmosphere. This has become our go-to restaurant in Cambridge.
