Very pleasant meal -helpful, smiley waitress. Good welcome and attentive throughout.
Main portion (fish Stew) very small-starter size! Food well cooked and nicely presented. Dessert Excellent!
A pleasant venue to meet up for lunch.
We enjoyed the food, some dishes unusual & enjoyed. Service excellent.
Very welcoming staff, excellent food, a lovely lunch and will definitely return
First time at Trinity- last minute booking and got table. Very pleasant, attentive , efficient yet unobtrusive staff. Lovely menu. Very tasty food. Great service and value
We had an excellent Sunday lunch. The food was delicious and service was very good. The whole experience was most enjoyable and we have recommended it to others.
The restaurant itself was very nice and it was not too noisy. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. The table we had was to the immediate right of the door and it was to tight when the adjacent table was occupied.
The food was of very good quality but there was just to little on the plate. I realise that side dishes could be added but for me it was too expensive for what it was.
I will not eat there again I'm afraid.
could not have found a better and more friendly place for a quiet lunch
The booking procedure was fine as was the welcome and general service. Gluten free request well catered for with no fuss. Restaurant not busy on a Monday lunchtime but gradually filled though service remained excellent and swift.
Food was delicious
Quality food in a quality restaurant with attentive but not smothering service
We were shown to our cute little corner table in the well decorated and looked after downstairs section. The lighting was low and helped create a lovely atmosphere. We were well attended to with good recommendations and the food itself was lovely. Overall, a very nice evening.
Great food and atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff. A lovely tray for my friends birthday. Would definitely recommend.
Great food, good wine, Ideal location. Will eat here again
We visited with a friend as a new year celebration and the meal was excellent. All three courses of a high standard with interesting choices to make. The quality of the service was particularly notable. Will definitely book again. If I had a recommendation for anything different I would add a few cocktails to their list. No complaints, though - a very good meal.
Picked this for my husbands birthday, we do not live in the area so was a gamble, but paid off. Staff were very friendly, food was excellent, the ambiance was lovely 😊
Excellent food with attentive but subtle service. The wine list was very good too and I loved their ‘Champagne card’. House Champagne was excellent. I would have given it 5 stars overall but the loos felt a bit grubby and scruffy when everything else was so spot on. Well
Worth a visit though.
We're so glad we booked this place for lunch on our day trip to Cambridge. Great food, friendly staff, responsive service.
I took my daughter to Trinity after telling her how good the oysters were and was dis appointed to be told that there were none, also no duck egg. We both had the sweetbreads which were excellent. I suppose it was my own fault as we were there at 2030 on a Sunday night and should have expected the stocks to be running low. I shall return again for oysters but will check before arriving on their availability.
The service as usual could not be faulted.
A lovely inviting restaurant with a calm atmosphere. Attentive service and delicious food. The only small negative is that some of the portions presented were on the small side.
Overall this is a very nice restaurant! The food is good and in my opinion just a little pricey for the serving size. If possible I would recommend you sit upstairs with a nicer view.
This was a fantastic place: perfect, cosy ambience, discreet and efficient service and, best of all, absolutely flawless food. Starting from the locally baked focaccia, though the starters (duck egg and lamb shoulder) to the perfect mains (ox cheek and pumpkin gnocchi) - the food was creative, beautifully served and full of flavour. Desert was also a feast for the eyes if a bit too sweet (white chocolate ganache). What a place, would go back in a heartbeat. Prices were very worth the visit!
We chose this restaurant over others for a special night out in between Xmas and New Year because of the oyster course that is prominently displayed on menu. Upon arrival told no oysters. Very disappointing which we did feedback . Unfortunately they were also out of stock of our first choice of champagne. Waitress gave very good service but apart from her felt we made the best of the evening despite, rather than because of any effort from the restaurant.
Whilst we had a good experience, great food and table service, it was actually all too quick. We wanted a night out, starting with a meal and to be able to take our time and enjoy. The pace was just too quick, sorry if this appears negative for the sake of finding something to say but it is how we felt!
Speedy service, Food good. Unfortunately, no oysters available on the evening and this was one of main reasons we booked.
Great service from polite and professional staff. Starters tastier than main and the same size! Portions for main very small compared to other restaurants.
Would return but not as a priority.
Took a friend for food as I’d been before and he loved it too. Waitress was fantastic, efficient and nice, chatty enough. Been before and will continue to recommend.
Great experience overall in Cambridge. The staff, food and ambiance was all lovely.
We tried all three types of oysters but the raw version was the best.
Would definitely go back when in Cambridge.
Fantastic food and brilliant service. Lovely ambience for a date. Good value, too. Highly recommend!
I came here a year ago and while my fiancee loved it, I didn't like it. Anyway as a treat for her I booked Trinity again and was even more disappointed. The food is very, very average. The service is good in fairness although a little too sycophantic, with staff constantly asking you if everything is all right, etc.
However the biggest problem is that they pack far too many covers into far too small a space.
This place is incomparably worse than Parker's Tavern, for something in a similar price range but with incontestably better food in a beautiful and spacious venue. Do not go here, go to Parker's Tavern. Or somewhere else. But not here unless you like average food served in a shoebox venue.
Excellent food. Had the early evening menu, very good value. Staff were very friendly and attentive despite there being large groups in for Christmas. Will definitely go back.
our third visit. once again they came up trumps - excellent food and service. the pre-theatre menu is great value for money. Not only that, you can't fault the wine and the decaffeinated coffee is excellent. The staff are friendly and efficient. Brilliant.
Lovely time spent catching up with a friend, atmosphere and food were great, will be returning!
very friendly restaurant
food was excellent quality
The restaurant frontage has a lovely design which appeals from the street. There are a few steps which may cause problems with those with restricted mobility which should be mentioned.
Inside the decor is warm and very nicely executed.
We dined downstairs where the layout is so good with individual tables with partitions and mirrors which make you forget that you are underground and it feels both larger and yet intimate.
The food is very, very well presented and full of flavour. We chose the coley which was a good sized portion and beautifully cooked. The staff were very helpful at all times.
Lovely lunch - just had two courses. The lunch menu only has a few options but all worth eating and the food was very nicely cooked and presented. I would definitely recommend Trinity and will be returning next time in Cambridge.
Lovely little restaurant with a great value lunchtime and pre-theatre menu. We asked for a quiet table and got one. Great food choices and lovely service. Would definitely visit again.
Perfect for birthday lunch with the girls. Huge thanks to all - delicious as always
Lovely meal and very friendly staff, imaginative ingredients
Incredible lazy lunch. Lunch menu was still inventive but great value for money. I can’t rate Trinity highly enough!
