Charming small restaurant, located in the centre of Cambridge, serving excellent food with charming, professional service in an unpretentious ambience. Celebrated a birthday with my family and ordered a variety of dishes - all were excellent. It is not inexpensive, but it is good value! Would not hesitate to recommend.
Delicious food and excellent service. Love this restaurant.
The menu is more towards fine dining than you're average upmarket restaurant, however the prices are still very reasonable
Great service, fantastic food
If you love people watching reserve a table in the window!
It could do with some background music. We were there when it was full but later on, you're aware of other people's conversations, particularly if sat downstairs
Would recommend and return
Excellent food and service.
An excellent venue for lunch mid week with outstanding service. A very interesting combination of flavours and textures using seasonal ingredients with regular menu changes as a result. No music to spoil the experience which means you are able converse with fellow diners easily. All round a very pleasant dinning experience.
Great food and excelent service. Highly recomended
It was our first time dining at Trinity. The service was excellent, the food was very good. We have already recommended the restaurant to friends. We will definitely be going back.
Absolutely amazing food
Good ambience and good service.
Will definitely go there again.
Already got friends going for dinner.
Went for lunch for my husband's birthday. We had the Set Menu which was fabulous, everything was hot, perfectly cooked and delicious. Excellent value for money. The service was faultless. In conversation I mentioned it was my husband's birthday, when desserts were served, his was on a platter with a candle and "happy birthday". Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.
We have visited Trinity twice recently approx 4 week interval and were slightly disappointed that the lunch menu had not changed in that time. We would like to use it again for lunch but would like to see some variation.
Superb food, excellent choice of wines and attentive service. Overall a wonderful lunch.
A really lovely evening. The menu was a bit limited as it was a bank holiday but what we had was full of flavour and excellent value for money. Good wine list as well.
Nice meal, nice staff. Couldn't complain.Everything was good. Had a table by the window which was nice.
We booked a table for our 15th wedding anniversary whilst having a weekend break in Cambridge. The service was first class and the food was very good as was the wine list.
Delightful meal staff attentive ambience great. We had a really lovely experience at Trinity and would recommend it completely.
We found this little gem through TripAdvisor and it was well worth the booking. The restaurant is tucked away in the heart of academic Cambridge and easy to miss if you're not looking for it. There were a good range of dishes available and the food was fantastic (especially the oysters). Service was attentive but not overbearing, and at one point our waitress went out of her way to find out and write down the name of the stout in their black velvet. The food was good value for what you got, although a little more expensive than some other places in the area.
Been here a couple of times. This time was pre-theatre and timing worked out well. They have a lunch/pre-theatre menu, as well as the a la carte one. Delicious food and very pleasant, attentive staff. Will definitely use again pre-theatre, as only a short walk to the Cambridge Arts Theatre from there.
Not bad but not particularly good either from food perspective (servings rather small and slightly tepid, possibly as we were on fixed price menu). The setting appears smart so good if that matters. I'd only pick it again if I needed something that had the air of being for a special occasion without being too formal, probably with people I didn't know that well who weren't foodies.
Great place for lunch or dinner with a good fixed price menu, dish of the day and a la carte.
Service was very good: welcoming, attentive (but not too much) and informed - the staff knew about the food and could answer any questions about it. The food itself is very good - well-prepared and cooked fish with nice balance of flavours and quantities. The only misgiving was that, in the crab and smoked salmon starter dish, the sourdough underlying the fish mixture was hard / rubbery and maybe could be replaced with some more of the lightly pickled cucumber which complemented very well round the edge.
All four of us thought it was excellent - lovely and imaginative food, beautifully presented with excellent service, and a really nice atmosphere.
Great meal and service, good food, relaxed people. One of my kids can’t eat gluten and although there was no specific menu for this, they were happy to tailor any dish to suit and came up with some good food that was a bit sophisticated and still kid friendly. Nice looking place and felt like it was priced right. A very enjoyable lunch
A delicious meal, with great service. Love this place for a happy, comfy meal.
Very enjoyable evening. The food was excellent and well presented. The staff were polite and friendly.
Wonderful food and delightful staff and atmosphere - a terrific restaurant!
Amazing restaurant! Staff were incredible, food was divine, and outstanding value for money. Would highly recommend!
We had driven from Nottingham for the night to visit our son. I booked a couple of days before hand as had heard good things about the place. I was not disappointed. Absolutely fabulous service, encouraged to try various wines before deciding, really attentive and friendly staff. Oysters were good and duck perfect. Fairly expensive but in my view, worth every penny.
We very much enjoyed Trinity. The food was fabulous, but not cheap.
Lovely meal and great ambiance. Friendly attentive service.
Lovely meal, excellent service. Remembered it was a birthday meal, and made a special dessert; also recommended a superb red wine. We'll be back!
I was lucky enough to be taken to trinity for my birthday... and my was it worth it! The food was incredible! I had octopus to start and pork 3 ways for main. My partner had pork to start and duck breast for main! All the dishes were cooked to perfection and had amazing flavour. It was the perfect setting for my birthday as we were in a booth, private and romantic. The service was attentive and if I’m honest brilliant. I would highly recommend this restaurant and frankly, I can’t wait to come back.
5* star dining experience!
Always a pleasure to visit this really hospitable restaurant with really imaginative and delicious food. My particular favourites are always the fish options. We come from London where there is a huge choice of really good venues. Trinity is well worth the trip!
The Trinity is excellent. The food is consistently good, we often have the sea trout main which is always delicious, my husband enjoys the oysters and I like the beautifully presented carrot salad to start. The house champagne is great value as are the wines and the staff efficient and knowledgeable. Its nice to have such a good local restaurant.
This restaurant is the jewel in the crown. Food perfect, staff perfect, Wine perfect.
We really enjoyed our meal at this wonderful restaurant. The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive. The food is beautiful and tasted as good as it looked.
We had a 3 course meal, plus oysters to begin with which also came with two slices of fresh bread and dipping oil. I found this filled me up quite enough.
If you only intend to have one or two courses I recommend getting a side with your main just to fill you up. Their portions are good and not stingy, but if you have a greater appetite you might benefit from a bit more on your plate.
We definitely want to come back again, as there were plenty of choices on the menu I'd like to have had.
The only thing I can find to criticise is that though the place is smart, it lacks in atmosphere and does not quite have a cosy or comforting feel to it that would compliment the delicious food.
Beautifully presented food, with a rich array of textures and flavours. Unpretentious, personable style of service in a very attractive setting. Thank-you for an excellent dining experience.
1st time visit, was a Monday night so a bit on the quiet side. Very good food and great service, wine was good quality and good value(Italian Negroamaro)
Will be back 👍
Superb! How it’s not a Michelin Star I don’t know.
Lovely restaurant, superb food & staff knowledgeable & friendly. Would definitely recommend The Trinity.
