Trumpets on the Bay
Beautiful atmosphere and location. Warm inviting decor. Friendly and efficient staff. It was a busy night, we felt a little rushed. We loved the seafood tower appetizer and the filet mignon, a bit over cooked, and the halibut was a bit over cooked and dry. Again, it was a holiday weekend, so we will still go back.
We were exploring Trumpets for our wedding venue. It was wonderful and was placed on the top of our list!
Wonderful food, ambiance and service again! The table overlooking the bay was beautiful and the chilled lobster appetizers were amazing! Great job to the chef, the wait staff and all the employees for making this a truly great time!
Went there for Valentine’s Day food was awesome drinks awesome
As always, Trumpets is the perfect place for a beautiful meal, superb service and spectacular view to brighten up any winter day.
Excellent as always!
Food was great, ambiance wonderful. A little noisy but that wouldn't stop me from coming back.
Great place waitress was so so.
Food is always great.
Food was delicious and perfectly prepared.. very relaxing mood.
Filet mignon was better quality than I've had in some high end steak houses. Service impeccable.
Food was delicious and the restaurant was beautiful. However, we have a vegetarian in the family and the only option that was offered was a side salad. Meanwhile each of us (party of 7) had a variety of vegetables that could easily have been made into a meal. Very disappointed in the chef for not offering any alternatives for a vegetarian meal.
Great food, good choices on the menu and friendly staff.
A favorite of ours!
The seafood soup starter was excellent - creamy and delicious - the best I have had in the US. The seared yellowfin tuna was done perfectly, medium rare, with a bean vegetable medley - both superb. The wine was good and the service was also excellent - an attentive and friendly waitress we remembered from prior visits.
I might recommend for lunch or dinner, but not for brunch. I am used to a buffet brunch not a small menu. Service was slow & restaurant was empty. Restaurant Was decorated beautifully. Food was good.
Our Aussie waiter was great. Very friendly and a gentlemen. We liked him a lot
Always a lovely night out... food and service exceptional
Please update your website when you change the menu! We were looking forward to the bass and stuffed mushrooms, neither were on the menu. Please go back to the lobster ravioli you used to serve, it was far superior to the crab & lobster ravioli I had last night.
Everything about Trumpets is excellent. We had a particularly outstanding server, Mel. She was professional and yet friendly and charming.
We always enjoy Trumpets It is our new go to restaurant since we recently moved here.
One of the best fine dining restaurants we have been to, in the country and we have dined in all the big cities coast to coast. We had the pasta special, prepared perfect. The chicken offering, tenders and delicious. The shrimp tempura, excellent. The seafood tower, highlight of the meal. Apple strudel and cheesecake, pick these!! Beautifully decorated, table a piece of art when seated. Service wonderful. Chef accommodating. Want to go somewhere very special, go here. Or just want a pampers evening out, go here.
Lovely place and the food was so delicious. Great service too.
Went during restaurant week. Great service, delicious food. Love the views!
Excellent food great restaurant. A hidden gem in the water. Service was second to none. The food was delicious practically melted in your mouth. Friendly staff
Great food and service, ambiance was perfect!
We went for our wedding anniversary on a recommendation . It was excellent. Ambiance, service (Diane) and food were excellent. We not only recommend but will return again and again.
The food was delicious and the ambiance perfect for our anniversary.
Quaint, beautiful, gorgeous water views and outstanding food!
The location is very nice, on the water with nice views. When we walked in, thought that we were in for a very special dinner. Was a bit disappointed. We felt as if the restaurant was trying to save money due to the lack of items described in the food that were actually on the plate. The clam special appetizer was fine. The bistro salad lacked the Gorgonzola cheese, had about 3 pecans, and four apples slices on the corners of the small plate. There was no dressing on the salad. We kept asking each other if we thought we could taste any dressing. It was too late to send it back. And it was very small for the price. Both of us had the Chicken Riviera. The chicken was tasty. The potato wedges were very dry and the string beans were average green beans. Four glasses of wine and a bill of $135. I will not be returning to this restaurant again.
Food, service and views were all excellent. We can not wait to go back. We just moved to the area and it will definitely be our go to restaurant.
Trumpets on the Bay is beautifully situated on Moriches Bay. The ambiance is lovely, with twinkle lights and white tablecloths. The staff is perhaps overenthusiastic in its holiday decorating. There were witches and pumping everywhere during our early October visit.
The menu is pretty satisfying, with some fish, some red meat, some foul. The prix fixe is a good deal at $35 for three courses, though the dessert is always an ice cream sundae, no imagination or talented pastry chef behind this choice.
The service is professional but lacking in sophistication. When I spilled my Chardonnay at the very beginning of the meal, the tablecloth was quickly and cheerfully replaced...but I was never offered more to drink.
We had a wonderful experience at Trumpets on the Bay. Food was delicious, service was terrific and looking out the window onto the bay was breathtaking! We will surely be back again
It was a special evening for us. Everything was perfect. The food was OUTSTANDING...
the best Restaurant experience in 2019
Beautiful restaurant with great water views. Food was excellent, service professional and prices reasonable for high quality food.
Three of us had the flounder and it was fresh and cooked to order. The fourth person had the tequila lime shrimp and enjoyed it again. Our server was friendly.
Trumpets on the Bay was delightful. The setting was fantastic - right there on the water. A very relaxing setting. The food was good, the service was a little slow but the location of our table made up for it. The prix fix lunch had two excellent choices. I just wish they had given a third choice. A fish entree would have been great. All in all, I look forward to going back again, especially when Open Table makes it so easy to make a reservation.
The atmosphere and service here is always excellent. I have recommended Trumpets to many friends and family.
I always enjoy my food and have never been disappointed.
It was a perfect setting overlooking the bay. The venue was also beautiful and dining on the outside deck was exquisite. We were there for an early lunch and the service was just right; -attentive but not intrusive. I had the crab cakes which had plenty of crab meat; my wife had the Cannelloni (spinach and cheeses) which she enjoyed. We shared a dessert which had sliced peaches, whipped cream on a pound cake which was delicious. A nice wine list is also available. Our first time there and we will definitely return.
Ordered Rum punch. Small with minimal alcohol Then ordered the Triple Crown Salad with filet. Received a fatty shell steak. Salad dressing was all oil and the salad had NO flavor. Portion sizes for the prefix lunch my husband ordered was very small and again no flavor. Complained and the chef offer to make steak again but the same cut. Salad is on the menu as a filet not shell steak. Even the bread was stale with no flavor. As I hardly ate the salad, the waitress offered a GC for the value of the salad to come back 😂. Refused to take the salad off the bill. Asked to speak to the manager and was told the manager was in the back. Turns out there was no manager there so we paid cash and didn’t not pay for the horrible salad. Staff was rude and cold. We ate outdoors on plastic tables. Fine dining at its best. The restaurant was pretty but had a horrible musty smell. We weren’t the only unhappy customers. A table of 3 also sent back all 3 orders of food because the food was cold. Staff really didn’t appear to care much for the customers. Expensive and very disappointing experience.
Excellent food and service in a beautiful waterfront setting.
