Quality of food for the price is not worth it, your better off going for a drink or two to check out the space. Otherwise I’ve had better Japanese food at a cheaper price. Service was awful first, they never read the notes on the reservation ( me and my wife were celebrating our ten year and they sat us at the bar with other couples). After they sat us down it took them 20 minutes to come back to our table to help us. Forgot to give us napkins and took up to 15 minutes to get a bottle of wine. Service and food need improvement, the ambiance is great and unique.
Loved this place. Definitely, I will come back soon. Food and drinks are delicious and they worth the price.
We are locals dedicated to vacation rentals and wanted to visit to experience thw whole Azulik concept in order to recommended to our guests. We waited for a lower season to avoid crowds but choose the hotest month August of the year. However this was not a problem since our waiter Cuathemoc sit us in the best table with amazing ocean views and breeze. Food was phenamonal, tequila and gin mixiology drinks were great, waiter the most kind and menu knowledgable we order everything he recommended deer, hot tuna, salmon and unagi sushi my favorte duck ramen soup. He invited us to the sunset roof nest bar for only $550 pesos per person including 1 drink. It was worth every peso, ambiance was nice, jungle and ocean views were spectacular with the sunset. We then headed back to the restaurant for dessert chocolate with avocado & pear Sorbets. Then our waiter made Arrangements for us to visIt the Kin Toh bar, wine cellar again we were AssisTed by a nice wAiter aNd Show us around all the wAy to the GaLlery. Our bill waS for $135 uSd For 2. The experience waS greAt, the service incredible. Highly recommended pleASe Add it in you bucket list. It is a must on your next visit to Tulum.
The sushi and sashimi were of top quality, but the rest of the food flopped when they tried to get too creative. For example, the edemame wasn’t properly seasoned because of some oily dressing they put on it that made the salt they put on it slide right off and the soy slid right off the oil, making the edemame very bland and starchy-tasting. Some of the cocktails were too sweet. They could use some editing.
The atmosphere was pretty great otherwise.
Great place to eat. Food was delicious and the concept of the building is extremely different and hip. In the part we ate, it was very cosy with nice views.
Erg duur maar wel lekker. Stoelen zaten wel oncomfortabel.
I send you a complaint online and you did not get back to me.
The food we had was very good however they were out of several items- understandable for sushi I suppose. However, they were also out of champagne and their entire sake list which was disappointing.
Toro nigiri was great quality.
It was so hot in there we could barely breathe the whole vibe is cool but we ended up leaving because of the hear
This was a dream come true. I’d suggest this restaurant to anyone open to trying something new and being pleasantly surprised by food, atmosphere and more.
Overpriced “Japanese” food, the ramen was off, uni was not fresh and hamachi was really dry... for the type of prices and for food that was supposedly flown in from Tsukiji, one would expect much more. For such a beautiful restaurant, the food was sadly a big miss and only those interested in the Instagram photos should come. What a let down
Amazing food!! The waygu was delicious. Highly recommend.
Great ambiance. Decent food. Somewhat overrated. Good to do once, but would not go back.
The best sushi I have ever had! The fish was so fresh. The ambience is absolutely beautiful and the service was great. A must when in Tulum!
It was a unique experience, which is what delivered the most value for us. The food was good. What really affected our experience was the number of bugs living inside the tables and all over the restaurant. It made it hard to enjoy the overall experience.
Everything was perfect.
Excellent service, excellent food and a really cool
The restaurant made a big deal about having a reservation, while the restaurant was completely empty on a Saturday night at 8pm...TERRIBLE quality of food, completely overpriced for the mediocre food. Service and ambiance was good.
Good food and ambiance, but it is overpriced for my taste.
This was the worst sushi I have ever had. Totally overpriced. The rice was soggy and the sushi tasted watery. Obviously, you're paying for the ambiance and access to the hotel. We went up to one of the nests and had a drink up there before dinner. I would recommend booking just to access that and then eating somewhere else (if you don't have a reservation, they charge you an entrance fee to see another bar). The sushi was absolutely terrible. The restaurant is also SUPER dark, and they light the mosquito repellant inside the restaurant while you're eating which wasn't pleasant. The music was really good though. Overall, book to go up to the nest bar area, and then leave. DO NOT eat here.
Disfruten...
Such an amazing vibe and atmosphere! Service was impeccable and the array of flavours and food quality was incredible!
Ambience was great! Staff was nice and friendly.
Food was not amazing. We got the sushi and the urumaki were falling apart.
It was not good value for money. Too pricey for the quality of the food served.
Experience was nice overall.
Service was terrible. Food was cold.
My boyfriend’s birthday
It was amazing as always, we love this place. It is such an unique experience, the service is excellent they make you feel at home right away and provide wonderful recommendations. They let us go up to the nest to make pictures of the resort and enjoy the breath taking view of the ocean and jungle during sun set.
INCREIBLE LUGAR VALE LA PENA CONOCERLO UNICO EN TULUM
Really cool restaurant experience. One of the best, if not the best in Tulum for a different and most likely never before experience. Service was great, ambience was fantastic, and setting perfect. The only reason for 4 stars, is that we made a reservation for 6, and had to pay extra upon arrival, with no notice of this requirement, to get to the top of the restaurant for the best views. With a reservation, we shouldn't have had to "pay extra" to see the whole space. Otherwise really good and would recommend it.
It is VERY expensive for what it offers. I asked for a Shabu Shabu and it was so sofisticated that it only had 2 pieces of meat and a few mushrooms...and it was NOT presented the way it normally is. Too loud to have a conversation. Generally an “IN” restaurant not worth it.
We absolutely loved the place!
The design is just beautiful, one of the most unusual, creative and athmosferic places we have visited. One needs to walk a hanging bridge to get in, and then has an option to sit inside or in one of the “nests” - balconies with the view to the jungles or the sea
The food was good, the service impecable and the restaurant manager, Marco, really walked an extra mile welcoming us and showing us the place
Highly recommend! They also have “sunset experience” at 5.30pm, to be booked in advance, to enjoy a drink with the views to jungles
Amazing place but very expensive. And is ridiculous to charge an exorbitant amount to eat at the balcony, even though the restaurant was far away from being full booked! Good food but a bit pretentious.
Amazing restaurant and setup, food was amazing. Had the bone broth ramen and spicy tuna rolls. The sushi was incredible and the ramen had great flavor. Perfect spot, a little pricey though wouldn’t recommend getting drinks.
