Food was great as always. Service probably better than normal, they were taking covid safety really seriously but made it into a positive. Great spacing and good table service.

Not great unfortunately. Waited 20mins to order drinks, then waiter permanently disappeared. Another very friendly waiter eventually took over. Sunday roast wasn’t very nice. Very undercooked roast beef (still mooing), sticky toffee pudding burnt and bitter. Shame as last time we went the roasts were amazing.

I couldn’t change my booking on OpenTable but I rang up Tulse Hill and they had no trouble doing it over the phone. Managed to sit in the garden - staff were very courteous and managed to make everything seem normal whilst wearing visors! Drinks and nibbles were delivered the the table - thank you to staff for having to work hard in these strange times. Will go back most weekends when possible.

Always great food and service.
Was a shame that we were in the front pub section as I found it too loud. Think this was due to social distancing, so understandable.
Really appreciated them keeping our table for us as we were late and amazing that we could still order 3 course meal at 9.45 pm!

Normally the food at the Tulse Hill Hotel is fair to good and the service friendly, however on Friday we had an evening that left a very bad taste in our mouth. My friend and I both had the flat-iron chicken and it was one of the most appalling dishes I have ever been served in a restaurant. The chicken was barely cooked and the amount of salt used in its preparation as well as the sauce over it literally made us gag. We advised our waiter who didn't even apologize, simple that he would advise the kitchen. And that was that, no discount, no explanation, no manager coming over to the table. We paid our 100 pound bill (this place is not cheap) and left. Obviously this place thrives on either people who don't really care about food or don' bother to say anything when something is bad. It will take me weeks to eat chicken again....

Disappointing. Food was over a 35 minute wait and when came was incorrect.
No effort to apologise. Was told they were prepping the kitchen- we arrived at 10.15 and the kitchen opened at 8.00!
When I chose not to pay the service charge they were not the slightest bit interested why or sorry.

Unfortunately not up to usual standards. We were ignored several times despite seeing lots of staff. We even had to leave our plates on adjacent table when left uncleared. This is NOT the norm at THH, so we were really shocked. Hope they pull their socks up soon.

Enjoyed sitting at high table, very comfy and conducive to good chat. However, near kitchen window and door and not many other tables around so felt a bit bereft. Food very good. Service very good. Felt it was a bit pricey for “pub food” even with benefit of Help Out to Eat Out.

The Tulse Hill Hotel has been our local for over 20 years and we were lucky to be guests on the opening night of the new THH back in November 2015. The staff have all changed again since the lockdown but it was still an enjoyable evening, good food and service and we remarked how well the pub has continually grown into a great venue. Highly recommended for drinks and / or food and always consistent. The outdoor area out the back is great too.

This was our second visit where the menu offers plenty of choice and the food is delicious. The whole experience falls down with a complete lack of attentive waiting staff... you have to catch distract a passing staff member to order anything.

We enjoyed the meal very much, as tasty and good quality. The ambience was welcoming and at a good noise level, so as not to interfere with our having a decent conversation. The only thing that let it down was the long wait for main course to arrive. We had booked for 7.30pm, but it was past 9.30pm when the main course was served. The reason given was that you'd been inundated with orders at the same time. Overall, a good experience, but I hope that you can improve on service time on future occasions.

Unfortunately, the Tulse Hill Hotel has not figured out its post-covid dining yet. We booked a table for 2 for 8.30pm, which was a little late for us, but the only slot available, which was fair enough. On arrival, we got shown to our table, then basically ignored for the next 20 minutes or so. No-one had taken a drinks order, and when we managed to waive another waiter over, they told us that the kitchen was lagging behind and that we wouldn't be able to order for another 40 minutes. So in essence, the earliest we'd get some food was at 10pm. I then asked whether they had any snacks in the meanwhile, and was told 'I guess we have olives'. At that point, we gave up and left. It's a shame, before covid, this was a good place. It was also way too noisy - considering that under the current circumstances you don't want to be shouting at people or getting right into their ears, maybe consider turning the music down a notch.

The food here really is excellent. I have eaten here now 5 times and had a different food each time and it never failed to disappoint (me or anyone I am with). Lovely staff, and great atmosphere inside and in the garden (whilst it is by a main road you can barely notice it). Looking forward to coming back all the time.

We were totally forgotten and took over an hour for food to arrive

Dad’s rare beef roast arrived - looked like the inside of a shoe - it was pink but hard and dry. Struggled to cut it as it was tough and cutlery blunt. Roast potatoes were shocking not fluffy or crispy

Unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to make a complaint as Dad didn’t want to cause a commotion.

Added an extra drink to our bill which was removed instantly - makes me wonder if this is a regular occurrence as no apology when we said we would not be paying for it

It is a very popular venue so much so that you have to book a table in advance for weekends. That should tell you all you need to know. It is family friendly especially those with young children, quiet, good food, good drinks and very good service. The family and I have been there for years and have never been disappointed. What more can I say.

Lovely Sunday roast which was incredibly tasty with possibly the most perfect Yorkshire pudding on the plate. Service was great too. A really great place to relax, enjoy great food and drink in a really nice beer garden.

We arrive on time and were seated. We spent almost 40 minutes trying to attract the waiter’s attention so we could order. When we finally did, we were informed that they were so busy that the kitchen wasn’t accepting any food orders for an hour!!
What made this even more annoying was that they were still accepting dinner bookings on Open Table......
We left without having any dinner.
Dreadful service and I’m obviously unable to comment on the food.
We ended up having dinner at Park’s Edge which was excellent.
