Tuna Bar is a Japanese Raw Bar and Grill concept created by Owner and Chef Kenneth Sze. Located in Old City Philadelphia, Tuna Bar boasts a relaxing, upscale atmosphere serving fresh and locally sourced ingredients. The diverse menu offers traditional and specialty sushi rolls, raw oysters, scallops, hand-selected fish, and shareable entrees. Tuna Bar offers a fully stocked bar of wine, sake, and spirits. There are no outside food and beverages allowed. There is a $40 dessert/cake fee for guests that wish to bring in a dessert/cake for their special occasion.

Tuna Bar was amazing. We tried so many different things and even had dessert. My drink was delicious too! Highly recommend. Don’t think you can go wrong with anything on them menu. Can’t wait to go back.

Tuna Bar is one of my favorites. I sat outdoors on this occasion which is right on Race Street. Yes there is noise at street level and so close. Love it anyway. The food and drinks are amazing.

Absolutely positively obsessed with Tuna Bar. I’ve been a few times and plan on coming more often with all of my friends. The ambiance and decor are elegance meets class with a city vibe. The drinks are great and the food is even better. The mai fried rice has to be one of the best I’ve ever had and my friend who dined with me agreed as well, and so did his brother who ate all our leftovers! Just an outstanding establishment. Kudos to the staff & everyone at TB.

Exceptional Dining Experience at Tuna Bar in Philadelphia I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my daughter Melina’s 23rd birthday at Tuna Bar in Philadelphia, and it was an evening to remember. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly and attentive wait staff who made us feel incredibly welcome. Their exceptional service continued throughout the night, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. The ambiance at Tuna Bar is truly remarkable. The elegant yet comfortable setting created a wonderful atmosphere that was both relaxing and sophisticated. The modern decor, soft lighting, and tasteful music added to the overall charm of the restaurant, making it an ideal place for a special celebration. We started our meal with the pork gyoza and ginger salad. The pork gyoza were perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and a flavorful, juicy filling that left us wanting more. The ginger salad was a refreshing complement, with a delightful mix of fresh greens, crisp vegetables, and a zesty ginger dressing that was simply outstanding. For our main course, we decided to go with the Big Tuna, which is a chef’s selection of sushi and sashimi. This was an excellent choice that exceeded our expectations. The presentation of the dish was stunning, with each piece of sushi and sashimi artfully arranged. The fish was incredibly fresh, and each bite was a testament to the chef’s skill and dedication to quality. Excellent sushi and food. Nice friendly servers that always remember us. Lively atmosphere, nice outdoor seating area when the weather is nice (the car traffic can sometimes be noisy depending on day and time). The specialty rolls, green salad, and fried rice are some of the best menu items. One note, if you’re making reservations for one of the last time slots, they tend to shut down and lights on very suddenly, so best to go no later than 8PM if possible.

Simply outstanding in every aspect. Highly attentive and helpful service, somewhat loud as the evening went on, but the quality and diversity of dishes were a treat beyond compare. We had a broad variety of offerings that were recommended by staff. Each was a taste and texture sensory delight. The experience reinforced our desire to return here more often.
