Tupelo Shrimp & Grits**
sustainable & wild-caught white gulf shrimp, chorizo pork sausage, peperonata, creole butter sauce, scallions
Biscuits for a Cause
Two cathead buttermilk biscuits with blueberry jam and whipped butter. Proceeds go to our Tupelo Honey Relief & Development Funds that aid Tupelo employees in need
Food - ok - not enough lighter fare - too heavy (which is the style)
Two daughters got same dish - shrimp linguini (one was swimming in sauce and one had almost no sauce)
Service - somewhat slow (waiting for drinks, food, etc - just longer than normal)
Ambiance - mixed noisy at times
Overall - needs to be more consistent.
Went for my mother’s birthday dinner and it was great but it does close a little early
Amazing! Everyone and the food was great! Great prices!
The manager Lawrence Rice and our waiter Tim were excellent. Our food and drinks were great. The servers brought our food to the table hot and made sure we had everything necessary to enjoy our meal.
My only complaint was our server. It didn't seem to be excessively busy. I had to ask four times for a refill on the coffee, and when he finally gave me a refill, it was cold coffee. He took a drink order, did a few laps to other tables, came back, and asked if we wanted drinks - he forgot he took our order. I told him I wanted to put in a dessert order, and he said he'd come back to take it but came back with the bill. He seemed overwhelmed when he only had a few tables. Despite those challenges, the food, drinks, and ambiance were excellent.
My table was available when i arrived, and they were able to accommodate my request for outdoor seating. My server was both efficient and fun. And the food was everything I'd hoped
The service was GREAT. Natalia made menu recommendations that were amazing. The fried green tomatoes were delicious. My friend enjoyed the grits that came with it so much she ordered a side of them. The food came quickly, was hot, and cooked well. The sweet potato pancakes were delicious, but the fresh blueberry compote was the star. The Southern Hospitality mimosa was very tasty. The restaurant was full of a diverse group of people. I will go back there again.
Food was good , service a little slow , portions not very much for the price
I had heard so many good things about this restaurant I had expected a phenomenal dining experience. Unfortunately it was not to be. It began when the hostess sat us right behind the servers station/adjacent to the kitchen. When we asked to move another table, the server came and moved us literally one table away from where we had been and had the nerve to ask, is this better? No ma’am it is not. When I pointed to one of the many empty tables by the windows she said they were not seating people there to ensure there was adequate server coverage. But the restaurant was no where near full so I don’t get how the server would have to do more work to walk a few feet over to the table by the window. In any event we settled on a table outside and were seated at a table that was dirty. Even the server commented that the table should have been cleaned before we were seated. And it smelled badly outside, like garbage. Anyway, now to the food. The biscuits were dry and even the heaping cup of butter and jam that came with them couldn’t help them. My sweet and spicy fried chicken was Chinese store quality; not great but not horrible. But expected more for the price. The Mac and cheese was a bit over cooked but the Brussels were good. My husband enjoyed his shrimp and grits and my kids liked their waffles and eggs - which leads me to think ordering from the brunch/breakfast menu is the way to go. Overall, given the initial server experience and the mediocre food would not recommend.
One of the best places in the area. You have to try their biscuits with jam and honey. Outstanding experience!!
Amazing and friendly service. Chicken and waffles are bomb! We got both the Sriracha and Mac and Cheese ones. You can’t go wrong with either. The house margarita is also a great choice!
Had a lovely visit! Drinks and food were delicious and the service was great. Highly recommend.
The Brussel sprouts, chicken and waffles were delish!
The restaurant closed at 8 pm on a weeknight!
Service was slow and the food was only ok. We won’t be back.
Food and service was the best. Liz was amazing. Going back again.
I love the atmosphere however the food needs seasoning, drinks were weak and service was mediocre at best
The food was delicious and the drinks were so refreshing. I enjoyed having brunch there since it had been a long time. Thank you Tupelo Honey and our server was amazing and friendly!
Our waiter was great but very busy so barely had time to check on us. I think they should hire more people. Great experience nevertheless!
Arrived for my reservation and got seated in an area with no server. After 15 min, I asked and was relocated to a different section. I wait another 15 min and no one came to the table. After wasting 30 min, we decided to leave. Very disappointing as we have loved going here multiple times in the past!
Food was great. Menu creative and interesting. Our server Kevin was the key to a great evening.
Great service but food left much to be desired. For example, the avocado toast came with a large raw onion slices (3 inches thick) not as garish. It was disgusting
Not great. So salty. Dining room pretty empty. Nice waiter tho.
Our food came out promptly and was delicious. Server was fun, neighborhood was cute.
The food was phenomenal! The service was bizarre and obnoxious. The waiter was busy and didn’t even take our drink order. One of the managers did. Fine. But then he tells us that the kitchen closes in 15 minutes…..ummm I just sat down and scanned the menu and I have a reservation. Seriously?! The waiter left much to be desired and many other bizarre things happened. When we tried to leave before ordering, we were asked to stay and that nothing would be rushed and that was untrue. We were in and out, boxes on hand in 31 mins.
Great food, great service!
Great food. I will summarize this place to that of a boutique restaurant. Small but casual classy. Extremely friendly and helpful service. My only criticism is that the waitress was a little over extended for a large party needs. However, we were patient and managed. In the end, this place is worth the drive.
We’d heard so much about the fried chicken, so we had to try it. It was very crisp and a little dry. The Brussels sprouts side dish was huge which meant leftovers for sure.
Thank you for your review and feedback. I will be sure to let our chefs know so we can perfect our fried chicken every time. Look forward to hosting you again soon.
Second time visiting and the food was just as good.
Service is friendly but I would like them to be more mindful of pacing the courses properly. I again ordered biscuits to start and my main course at once but the food was again delivered all as one course.
Service will get five stars from me once they fix the pacing issue.
Great service, The frose was one of my favorite drinks!
Thank you for your review Jade. That Frose is so good, especially with the heat we have endured. PRO-TIP Add a tequila float next time! Thats the only way I have mine! Look forward to your next visit!
The honey dusted chicken is very good as always.
Some of the best fried chicken on this side of town. Our chefs appreciate great feedback and we thank you for your review.
Loved this place, very nicely decorated, food was delicious, and the our server was fantastic. She was very attentive, knowledgeable and funny.
Thank you for your review. We take pride in our southern roots and traditions. Look forward to hosting you again soon. Cheers!
Location is nice. Service ok. Food lousy. Nothing about our meals reflected a scratch kitchen. Meal came out cold, chicken dry and tasteless.
After server found out we were not real pleased with our meals, she stopped coming by our table. Never received drink refills. Didn’t see her again till she brought the check
Thank you for your feedback Kayswiss. We apologize for your less than standard experience. Please reach out directly to our General Manager so we can further discuss this.
Unfortunately our waiter was not very hospitable and many tables around us were having issues with service as well.
Great food and a wonderful menu. The drink selection is especially good.
Bad smell, bathroom mop smell all over the dining area.
Bad waitress, attitude and inexperienced.
Burnt food, chicken burned, dry bad taste.
Restaurant ran out of mimosas during brunch service. Server didn’t want to take any other cocktail order due to bar being backed up and offered us wine. Other guests that were seated after us were serviced prior to us. Their water was brought first and orders taken while we sat and watched. Drinks arrived after our meal got served and server never came back to take our checks in the end but did so with that same table that she serviced earlier. No cappuccino or specialty coffee drinks were offered (just plain coffee was available). Would I go back? Probably not…I’m sure there are better brunch spots in Arlington.
Thank you for your feedback. In light of the Pandemic, some of this industries leading purveyors are still having issues getting the correct product in. We received defective product and our team was scrambling to find a solution on a Saturday. We even had a team member decide this industry wasn't for them. Sounds like that person was your server. We apologize for your disappointment and hope you understand. Please reach out to our General Manager at the restaurant.
Baby, go ahead and make that reservation. I BEG.
Best avocado toast I’ve ever had. In. My. Life.
Sweet potato pancakes are to die for.
I didn’t taste the fried chicken and waffles, but my parents said they absolutely loved it.
Staff was super nice and welcoming.
I can’t wait to go back!
Didn’t have mimosas which was the main reason we went there. The service was incredibly slow and the food was disappointing.

Great food and service. Staff members were particularly welcoming to our three children and accommodating our request for safe outdoor dining

Great chicken and delicious drinks. Good service too!
