The main meal was delicious, we had the sharing board with steak, ribs and prawns. The puddings were good but found the sticky toffee pudding a little dry, with not much ice cream.
The restaurant is a beautiful place, perhaps some quiet light music would be good, nothing too loud obviously for Covid restrictions. Our waitress was very kind and helped us with menu choices.
The food was lovely but the portions were a little small.
We had a lovely dining experience. The food was excellent and the staff attentive and helpful. Having a view over Princes Street further enhanced the experience.
It was an amazing experience with delicious/banging foods, excellent vegan options and the best customer service. Would happily go back again in near future. Special thank you to Declan Cornor Flaming for an excellent service x
Fantastic meal as always, attentive and friendly staff. Have coped really well in pandemic. Would definitely come back
Had a lovely first experience and will definetly be back.
Throughly enjoyed our meal. Will be visiting again in the future.
Starters where nice but bread was stale and not fresh which was disappointing other than that was good
Our server Giorgio was very attentive. The food was great value for money and tasted amazing. We will definitely be back
The steak was amazing.
Decor and experience was super nice and rustic/Scottish yet very sophisticated as you find from well outfitted tenement commercial addresses around here.
Food was incredible, really friendly staff, great service, will definitely be back
Food was good, although - half of the meat on the platter we ordered came cold, as though it was all left sitting on the counter about 10-15 minutes before bringing to our table. Then the sides came around 10 minutes later, at this point we were feeling somewhat let down already. It was far from busy so it’s not like staff was rushed off their feet. The general service was also rather disappointing as we tried to get the staffs attention I.e - saying excuse me, waving, attempting to catch eye contact, ect.
The full room was absolutely freezing and was in desperate need of the heater to be put on.
No hate to anyone but just a little bit of constructive feedback 🙂
Staff were lovely and helpful however we did find that the quality of the food was overpriced.
Sirloin steaks were very fatty which put us off a bit
Our return to Twenty after lockdown was great: despite being late because of travel disruption on railways to England, the staff made us really welcome. Ordering was easy, but staff also made us feel really Covid-secure. We particularly enjoyed the sharing meat platter and the desserts: reimaginings of Eton Mess and Tunnocks Teacakes were a triumph. We will go back as soon as we're back in Edinburgh.
Wonderful service food amazing steaks were cooked to perfection and the Eton mess meringue sphere outstanding
Big well to done to all
Excellent time. Really great service and lovely food. Definitely would go back.
Delicious lunch and the fixed price menu was a good value option, definitely recommend the steak frites! Request a window seat for brilliant views over Edinburgh.
Amazing food , and the service from the staff was outstanding thank you so much
Booked for set Xmas menu which we didn’t get questioned this and given complimentary mocktail the food we had was good no crackers on the table for festive menu but staff helpful good service
This was unexpectedly rather delightful. Amazing views and very obliging staff. I would definitely go again.
Excellent menu and very friendly staff, a hidden gem
We were looking forward to our booked lunch but unfortunately the restaurant was closed. How can they take booking in an empty restaurant. They also asked us to confirm our booking. Then we were asked how we enjoyed our non existing lunch.
Made a booking, received a confirmation and the day before the booking received another email asking for me to confirm the reservation again and providing me all the up to date C19 guidance. All good so far. We turned up at our booked time to be met by a very confused lady at the door, who told us the restaurant hadn't re-opened yet following the Central belt shut down. So we managed to find somewhere else that would take walk-ins - but clearly a system flaw somewhere!
Food was good but fish main course was small. Had the same quality at a local restaurant where the fish was at least twice the size. Sadly there was nowhere else to go. Noisy diners sharing a telephone call on speakerphone was very rude. When I asked the waiter to ask to turn down the volume they did but could still hear the conversation. Waiter was lovely.
Few customers due to Covid restrictions. Food was still excellent and service exemplary.
The staff at 20 Princes Street were as always just helpful and delightful. The food was as described and tasted wonderful, I have never had a bad experience in this most incredible of grand dining halls. Thank you so much again.
Amazing service and food - can’t fault it!! Restaurant was very quiet but considering all going on couldn’t fault them!
Spacious and high ceilings well spaced out tables. Efficient and helpful service. Good food.
Outstanding service followed by Fantastic food .I would Highly recommend a visit , you won’t be disappointed.
We were staying at the Hotel Indigo and booked their restaurant, Twenty Princes Street. It was a Sunday so a bit quieter than usual but it was enjoyable. The food was lovely and good quality and we really enjoyed our meal.
Sharing platter was amazing would highly recommend
Very poor choice on the menu,
Chips very poor and my steak was overcooked,
Which I sent back and then the steak returned very rare,
Starter was very good,
Also did not feel the steak was cooked on a Joseph grill which is one reason we came here for had am a chef and I cook on a Joseph grill.
Staff great , food great , looking forward to my next visit
Originally tried to book restaurant but could only book bar .... after ordering food we were asked if we would like to take a table in the dining room !
Much more space and lovely restaurant .
No ambience at all as far too bright and no low level music.
Food was limited and some n/a. Lamb chop very bony with little meat.
Disappointed as reviews seemed good
Great location with ambient environment. The lady that served us was exceptionally nice. Wish she took the bill so I could have tipped her.
A must try once the staff are attentive but not in your face. Good social distancing food just melted in the mouth, starters brilliant, wine delicious, had a great night. Thanks chef staff etc
We had a table for 4 and arrived at 1.45 for a 2.30 booking.
Due to the current situation everything feels awkward and every
restaurant has its own way of dealing with the rules, so you never seem to
know if you are withIn the way the staff want you proceeding correct way.
The restaurant was quiet which led to poor ambience, but apart from this,
on being shown to our table l presented the maitre de with my “itison” vouchers
this led to an “oh” like it was some sort of surprise...... lesson to restaurant owners
if you do not like the voucher scheme, do not participate, l certainly think
the public should be embraced for participating not being made to feel like a cheapskate.
If l did not have these voucher we would not have been in this particular place,
having said all this, service and food was very good.
An enjoyable meal with friendly staff working under the current restrictions
Superb late lunch , creative well cooked food and friendly attentive staff , couldn’t fault my visit at all !
