Lovely meal perfectly cooked, service was excellent. Would definitely go back if ever I go back to Ediburgh 👍
With a booking made for 8pm it seemed a long time to wait until 8.30pm to get a rink and then 9pm for our order to be taken. Once order was taken though then it was efficient and great and the food is totally amazing.
This is the second time we have been whilst visiting from Aberdeen as we loved it the first time. We went for the combined fillet and sirloin with a lobster. It was lovely meat however the waiter took that long cutting it in front of us the meal was cold by the time we could eat it. Overall the ambience of the place is lovely however it is overpriced in my opinion. We went to Miller and Carter nearby the second night and I’ve got to say the food, service, value and overall experience was much better.
Beautifully restaurant lovely good food lovely setting
Always good service and food. We often visit when in Edinburgh
We came here on Friday for our anniversary meal and were accommodated at short notice in a lovely booth table.
From entering the service was first class, our coats were taken and we were offered water which was poured for us.
The food was absolutely beautiful and not overly priced either; the Twenty burger was the best burger I've ever eaten.
We received a lovely surprise after our meal too which was so thoughtful.
Thank you so much, we will be back!
Food was of an extremely poor standard. We ate the macaroni cheese and it had no redeeming features at all .
Staff were very friendly but service was non existent. Would not recommend.
We had a booth which was great. Service was very good waiter was very attentive. The food as always was gorgeous as well as fulfilling. Would recommend twenty Princes Street to everyone. 😀
The Restaraunt was empty and they had run out of chicken after a busy lunch. The place was freezing . So cold next to the windows in the bar area .
Amazing food. Really lovely ribs. The burger was good too.
From the minute we arrived the service was on point. Staff were very friendly, extremely knowledgeable with regards to the food and drink, pleasant and kind. At one point we were advised there would be a five minute wait and because of this we were gifted a glass of prosecco each.
The food was exceptional, both in flavor and presentation.
We will definitely be back, highly recommended.
As always food and drinks fantastic along with great service.
Food was excellent, super service would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
We had a lovely lunch, great menu to pick from. Food was delicious and received great service.
Excellent venue for a cosy, quiet lunch with adult guests. Food was lovely although Mac n cheese could had more flavour and cheese. Wine excellent. Great value £22 for 2 mains and 2 drinks. Definitely return
Excellent value. Pleasant surroundings. Food was tasty and well presented. The sticky toffee pudding was outstanding! Two mains and two drinks for£22...you can't go wrong!
Great lunchtime deal, varied menu, good service and beautiful decor.
Amazing food and even more amazing service. The staff were exceptional, they gave us great reccomendations and made us feel so welcome!
Great restaurant although basically had place to ourselves
Lovely meal had and Thomas was a fab host
Fabulous food and atmosphere! Would definitely recommend!
Incredible place! The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The service was excellent, we waited 20min for our mains so they brought us a complimentary, delicious, starter to apologise (even though we really didn’t mind waiting). It was very quiet, despite the restaurant being full (on a Saturday night). And it is such a beautiful restaurant!
I have had lunch at No 20 quite a few times catching up with friends from out of town which was very good on each visit , Saturday was our first time for dinner with friends and it was Very disappointing we ordered bread and olives to start and the bread was like bricks you could not even cut it !l mentioned it to a waitress who said it had been freshly baked that morning and that if we would like it changed she would see if there was any that was fresher . The second batch was fresher and also smaller !
Three of the main courses had to be returned leaving one person eating on her own , two steaks which were to be medium were Very rare one had blood oozing out , l ordered cannelloni which was disgusting it had a layer of very thick white sauce with absolutely no seasoning l was going to remove it and eat the rest but then decided that for the price l was paying it should be perfect.
The steaks when returned were very good and l changed my order to a steak sandwich which was also very good but sadly it had all rather spoiled our evening as the person left eating on her own was also left once again . The Head waiter was exceptionally kind and removed some of the charges from the bill which we appreciated very much but l do not think we will be returning.
for dinner again , while l understand that Saturday nights are busy one waiter only smiled once during the entire evening and that was when we left him a tip.
Scotland certainly needs to up there game when it comes to customer service l have spent quite a lot of time over the past six years in New Zealand and the USA where customer service is of a very high standard as is the quality of food which all comes down to training .
Great food, excellent service. Would definitely recommend
Can’t fault the service At all. However the food was disappointing. My wife had the burger which looked like over cooked mince. I had the ribs. Which were fine. But why frozen chips. Really need to be home cooked for the price charged
My birthday party of 6 enjoyed a great lunch-time meal and drinks. Starters, burgers and steak sandwich were all excellent. Great value for money with the "£22 for 2 Mains & 2 drinks" offer. Staff were all friendly, attentive and helpful.
Great venue for a reasonable priced lunch in the centre of Edinburgh
Very disappointing. I came here for a midweek dinner whilst in Edinburgh on business. Surprisingly there were only about 4 other tables of diners so the place had no atmosphere whatsoever.
Clearly this wasn't unexpected though as there was only one server, and one chef I suspect based on the length of time it took to get food. Not that it was worth the wait as everything looked like it had had a few minutes too many on the grill - rare steak was almost medium, mushrooms tough and rubbery, and even the pudding had been overcooked (microwaved?).
For the price it was very poor value. Given the other positive reviews maybe I was just unlucky, but I won't be going again.
I really enjoyed my time at Twenty - the food was delicious and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I am looking forward to returning in the future!
Outstanding! Alvaro was an excellent host and Elle’s steaks were on point. We were well looked after and will be back at some point very soon. Becky
Excellent dîner ! Belles viandes et desserts originaux et gourmands
A beautiful dining room but a bit too cavernous for dinner for two. Service was slick, food was great. City center so no surprise that it was a little pricey; not too bad value considering that.
We had a wonderful meal; the food and service was absolutely fantastic. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
Decor was stylish, food was presented well and cooked to perfection and arrive on good time, staff were excellent
Excellent value for money with the pre-theatre menu before 4pm. Great selection of dishes and a glass of wine included. Fantastic views over the old city of Edinburgh and service is impeccable. The staff are of the highest calibre and attend to your every need. Brilliant !
Fantastic food and I can't wait to go back. Well looked after and the 2 mains and 2 drinks for £22 is great value.
Gorgeous place, lovely food, very central.
Lovely food but left underwhelmed by the service. Didn’t feel valued as a customer as we were barely talked to, and felt the whole meal was quite rushed - starters and mains came within about 15 mins of each other. We thought it would have been a bit more of a leisurely pace but we only managed to have one drink each. My coat was taken at the start and no one offered its return, granted they were only on a rail by the door, however the host was standing next to me as I walked to the door and I sort of asked if I could take it and had to get it myself. Just little things that could have changed it from an average experience to feeling like a bit more of a special evening. Overall, disappointed.
Greeting at reception was luke warm at best. Both our starters were a little tasteless and needed a lot of seasoning. My steak was over cooked, both our steaks were a little tasteless again like the starters. Not somewhere either my husband or I would chose to go again.
Excellent venue, lovely food, quick service. Recommended.
