We visited yesterday and everything was perfect from service, food and ambience. The food was excellent and the staff were ever so accommodating.
We booked via Opentable and the system said only”bar seating” was available. When we arrived we were told that “bar seating” meant only having a drink and that we could not eat. We had wasted an hour trekking across town to get there and by then everything else decent was fully booked. The restaurant should not advertise seating and accept bookings if food cannot be served. I accept that the restaurant wanted to maintain a good service in difficult times, but they should not be allowed to advertise places when they cannot serve food. I post this as a cautionary tale to others.
Stunning views and great food, accommodating waiters.
Didn't answer the phone though when we tried to change our booking time!
4th time at this restaurant and although the food was very good, the service on this occasion was lacking from the start. No real welcome. Taken to a table and given menus. No interaction or conversation. We all had steaks but they couldn't do a bearnaise sauce??? We had 2 rounds of drinks too so a fair bill which, when it came, had a £22 error charge. A meagre apology given so suffice to say, no tip. This is basic service guys, in a not at all busy restaurant!
Rude waiter on arrival, we were informed that our 9.15pm booking was too late and the kitchen closed at 10 and we would have to hurry, if that is the case do not offer bookings at this time, especially as there was a booking for 9.30pm available.
Good was amazing the steak melted in our mouths. Had the sharing platter and would definitely have it again! The staff were also the most attentive staff I’ve had in a long time! Thank you.
Meal was top drawer great service food amazing and the waiter was gorgeous give me his number pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese!
We booked Juniper bar and were sadly let down. On arrival we were seated and waitress took our order for a drink. I then asked if they had the food menu and was told no, the kitchen was in trouble and no food was being served. Surely when people are booking for lunch they should be contacted and advised prior to arrival if there is a major issue like this?! I used to love Juniper but there was no atmosphere, waitress looked miserable and the reduced cocktail menu was disappointing- I won’t be returning.
We opted for 2 courses for £20. Excellent steak, chips and very tasty salad. Creme brûlée for pudding superb. Waiting staff very friendly and attentive. We will be back!
We had a table at the window looking out to Princes Street. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. Service was excellent.
Wonderful food , wonderful service , says it all . A most enjoyable dining experience. Thank you
Great food served in a beautiful setting. Excellent value for money, staff attentive but not intrusive. Will definitely be back.
We have been several times, however it was different, my starter great, my friend was OK with her. She had a main and I had cheese board. Angry with OpenTable they send you text to say press one to confirm. To my surprise I got charged a premium rate. Won't be booking again use the restaurant direct.
Fab service attention to detail first class quality of food A1 ,price very reasonable recommend to anyone
Excellent food and service! Would highly recommend!
First class, never disappointed with 20
Great value for money in a restaurant which boasts spectacular views over Princes St.
Impressive venue, spacious dining hall, fantastic menu and beautifully prepared food. Can't fault it, a million times better than a michelin star place we visited the day before
This restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere with great views and comfy booth seating. We choose a set menu which was very good value with a good choice of food and 3 Aperitivos. Waiting staff were very helpful and friendly. My second visit and would definitely return.
Food was fabulous! Service great too. A big group of guys came in which made it pretty loud, but other than that it was very good!
Went for drinks with friends when we decided we fancied some nibbles. Waiter checked with chef to see if we were too late as food was about to stop being prepared and it was no bother at all to them that we order so late. Haggis Bon bons 😋 sticky toffee pudding 😋 😋 😋 all washed down with delicious cocktails 🍹
Tasty cocktails. Was quite noisy but staff moved us to a quieter table with no fuss or hassle.
Amazing food, the Ribeye was delicious. Venue is very nice snd staff where impeccable. Will definitely return when I come to Edinburgh next.
Only went in for drinks so cannot review the food. Cocktails are really good and cost about he same as anywhere else in the city. Real down side was the service. Was seated really quickly and told that it was table service. Between drinks waited about 20 minutes for someone to finally serve us. Could have had twice the amount of drinks if service was better.
Really disappointed with our visit as it wasn’t any where near the standard it used to be.
Unable to have my choice from menu as had no chicken and not able to boil potatoes.
The pudding had hard crispy croutons in it that was meant to be sponge
Food was great and service was good without it being intrusive.
Good value for the centre of Edinburgh.
Generally the decor was decent, but the booth I say at had torn fabric on the seats making it look tired.
We had such a lovely + special evening - my friends visiting the city - my Partner and I will be back v v soon
We had a lovely meal and the the staff are delightful and very accommodating
First time I’ve been and was amazing!! Would definitely recommend and will be back.
Been previously and service was excellent. This time was different- not sure if staff shortages but waited a while to be asked for a drink and had to ask for wine list. Otherwise great food and lovely atmosphere
My wife & I truly enjoyed the meal & ambiance of Twenty. We both had the fillet steak, cooked to perfection. Deserts of Twenty Mess & Sticky Toffee pudding was well enjoyed. When in Edinburgh again we would book here.
Diners would not be disappointed & we recommend to all.
Wigan . Lancashire
Visited Edinburgh and we always have that 1 day where we eat at the super restaurant. Twenty was one this time didn’t disappoint. Had ribs, sirloin, prawns was amazing
Great venue, drinks, food, and excellent service. I will definitely return.
Short stop off for some drinks and a nibble, staff were tentative and the overall experience was pleasant
Our Spanish host was extremely helpful, enthusiastic and polite. The food was excellent and perfect for a light 3 course lunch. Have recommended to many people already.
Loved Twenty, lovely restaurant and the food was very good.
Very good staff Very helpful Well trained they gave us extra attention for our wedding anniversary meal
Great food. Perfect view to celebrate our anniversary. The staff are really accommodating and knowledgeable of their menu and service. Will surely recommend this.
