Welcome to our new ‘Txoko’ inspired from the Basque country and Northern Spain,
meaning a cosy corner or ‘nook’ where people come together to meet and share home
cooked tradional Spanish food, along side local drinks and wines with friends and
family, new and old.
We use local fresh produce along with speciality products imported directly from Spain
to create family receipes close to our hearts. Our Txoko has been created with repurposed
furniture and accessories to minimise our carbon footprint.

Nice atmosphere, didn’t feel squeezed in at all as the place is in the arches which are small so well thought out! Service was ok, teething issues I guess! Had to ask for plates and napkins a few times, dirty wet plates delivered to table and I asked to swop them out with clean ones. Food was ok, Guilda of 1 olive, 1 Guindilla and 1 anchovy for £3.75, No breadsticks with our 40g Jamon plate for £9.95, no ribeye available on Friday night, Txuleta was ok, no real colour or crust, fat not rendered correctly even tho it was cooked over embers, cooked medium not rare as ordered. For £40 it came with zero sides and paid £4.95 for a portion of McDonalds size fries which tasted of stale or dirty oil. The food was average but not value for money. Wine was nice and a mixed selection. Fairy disappointed but it’s only just opened so understand teething issues! Maybe back.

Would highly recommend this restaurant. True authentic and delicious tapas served by the friendly owners and staff. The ambience is perfect throughout, overall an exceptional experience. Great location being near the station, and a huge car park. Thank you, we will definitely be back.
