Host gave us heat at the door for not having the NHS app even though I was super willing to provide contact details an alternative way. Pretty cheeky given that he wore his mask below his nose consistently during our time there.
Anyway, the food was fantastic - sushi rolls were 30% off on a Monday at lunchtime and dim sum lush.
Service was exceptionally slow, food was nice but not worth it, they prioritised all of the delivery orders over people sitting in.
Such amazing food with a really wide range to choose from. Sushi was divine, and dessert was interesting and delicious. Will definitely be coming again.
Food was amazing! Sushi was fresh and tasty. One of the best in town. Waitress and staff were very friendly and very accommodating with my shellfish allergy. A great place will be back for sure.
Another lovely meal (my son enjoyed his chicken cutlet donburi so much he went back two days later with his dad, and had another one) with efficient friendly service, and the fact you have to check in with the NHS app, use sanitiser, and everything is kept so clean and well-spaced means we feel comfortable at Umai Mi during these difficult times. Makes all the difference.
Absolutely loved it here! Large menu with lots to choose from and the vibe in there is lovely. Really love the decor and the staff are so pleasant and really efficient. I will definitely be coming back again! I prefer it to Wagamamas

Our experience was okay. There were no menus to look at so we were directed to look online at their food menu.
We were brought the wrong drinks to begin with but that was sorted quickly enough.
The food we ordered was good but not exceptional. We were waiting a long time to order and for each course to arrive.

Starters arrived before the drinks, then While still eating starters drinks finally arrived and so did are mains arrived. Not very organised at all. Very very disappointed and the restaurant wasn’t busy. I probably would t recommend or go again
Lovely food and atmosphere, catering well for vegan and vegetarian as well as meat/ seafood eaters. Great experience all round and would highly recommend Umai Mi.

We have eaten at Umai Mi five or six times (plus the odd take out), and the food and service are always excellent. We would recommend the sushi and sashimi especially. Also, they’re doing a great job regarding the current COVID-19 situation, requesting we all use sanitiser, keeping tables well spaced and cleaned, and employing a track & trace policy. Will be returning for sure.

We had a lovely meal here a few days ago and we were really impressed. The COVID measures were all in place plus we were asked on arrival if we had any dietary requirements or allergens and they asked again upon taking our order. We were very impressed with the vegan options and the food was delicious. The staff were excellent and very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. It was a nice atmosphere inside too. Overall we were very impressed and will be returning 😊

I love Umai mi, we did have a bit of an unusual mix up with our food this time but was sorted out quick and very well so I would still highly recommend as the staff are all lovely and the food is delicious.
Didn't enjoy either of the noodle dishes. Toilets weren't clean and no toilet roll. Really disappointed after the reviews we'd seen.

First time visit but what a great experience. Brilliant service and hospitality from Mohamed from the beginning to the end. Busy lunch but served very well. Mohammed helped with the menu and provided with some great choices.

Some of the food was delicious. Some was not, the staff were helpful when I needed to swap my main dish as it didn’t come as described. The service was quite poor, we ordered dessert and waited for 45 minutes before leaving without one. One of the staff didn’t have their face covering over their nose which didn’t make me us feel very safe. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially given it was out wedding anniversary. I would advise people to avoid.

Beautifully presented sushi rolls that do not skimp on the salmon. Very friendly waiter service too. The food was really great value and very tasty indeed.
