Wow what an amazing venue . And Incredible food ! 100% worth a visit !
Pre theatre menu was perfect and served in a timely manner - really close to the theatre so worked really well. Lovely food.
Service extremely friendly, food delicious, but portion sizes small for cost. Over all a good experience though and I would go back without hesitation
Grossly expensive for poor portions of messy sushi roughly put together. Staff were in there own world running up and down the stairs at speed with food, counting the minutes to go off clubbing and served us like robots for the most part. We we Insincerely treated with no real personality. Very disappointed and felt a bit ripped off.
Great place! Calm ambience. Great food. Celebrated my wife’s birthday there.
Great service, lovely ambiance, delicious food. We had the pre theatre set menu which was great value
Way too expensive. I wouldn’t mind if it was outstanding but the tempura prawns were soggy. Poor show
Lovely food, had the pre-theatre 4 courses for £25. Good foos but came away a little hungry, would have ordered a few sides had I known it'd be so small. Would definitely recommend, service is very efficient and good value for location
Tucked away restaurant with a nice menu and great Japanese food. The service was great and was perfect for a pre theatre dinner!
Delicious food as always. We sat at the bar which was fun for a change. Very cool and calm kitchen. Somehow the bill always seems higher than expected. They also tried to charge for 2 bottles of sparking water rather than one. Annoying.
Food was fabulous for the cost, however the service was slow and impersonal
Overall, a good experience. Food and ambiance was lovely, lots of drinks on the menu were not available (2 types of Saki, Red Wine and Whisky) and we were charged for Japanese whisky that we ordered but was not available. This was rectified once i noticed.
Could not fault the food and my brother was blown away by to Wagu beef.
I would visit again. We ate alot of food and drink and came to just under £400 for 4 people.
Great food. Romantic ambience. It wasn’t crowded when we dined there, so the waitresses at times were standing against the wall watching us eat, which we found uncomfortable.
An amazing collection of delicious food with excellent service and a wonderfully atmosphere. The popcorn shrimp was fantastic and every other dish we had from the varied menu - crevice, sashimi and rolls - was full of flavour and delightful. We have been a number of times and Uni has never failed to deliver a truly memorable evening.
Completely empty... and for a reason.
Overpriced food and average quality, no better than an itsu for lunch. Drinks took 20mins to arrive and we were the only two people in the restauarant.
There a hundred other better sushi restaurants in london, avoid.
Amazing atmosphere and really good japanese-peruvian food. Service was very kind and attentive. I will come back.
We made a reservation for 21:30 (the earlier option available). When we arrived they told us the kitchen closed at 22h, so we had to order everything before it. The service was terrible. It took 1 hour for the food to arrive and when we asked about one of our orders they said there wasn’t any. They offer us to change but charged for our change. The food was ok but overpriced.
The service was good even though we were in the cave. The food was excellent as usual.
We had an early dinner and everything overall was good but sushi size were smaller than usual
Service was kind and pretty much attentive. The rest was simply not enough for the prices (230₤ in 3 people with no wine, just one drink and honestly not even eating a lot). While we were still waiting for some food, the waitress asked us to order desserts and coffees because the bar and the kitchen were about to close (it was 10PM). Never again.
Unimpressive quality and level of service - especially for the price points.
First and last time there.
We went for a business dinner. They forgot our food, very slopy service. Food: sushi was good, Ceviche a dissaster. Pisco sour was hot and they run out of pisco (the typical Peruvian drink) at 8.30 on a Friday night. On top of all these it was extremely expensive for what it was. Very embarrasing situation, they made me feel totally uncomfortable with our guests. Don’t go.
Great food as always . However Thai time the server was terrible . He seemed to simply be in a state where he was uncommunicative . He didn’t have any interest in his job and sadly attributed to the bad service experience .
Level of service and staff needs to improve or laggards in service to be replaced .
In general it was a good evening, very nice atmosphere. However, food wise was disappointing a bit, maki sets we ordered were too small and not juicy
Food was amazing and located very well located next to victoria station, staff was uninterested and not very helpfull. Music was a little too loud for our taste
You expect Friday evenings in London to be busy and noisy and because we had children with us we were put downstairs into one of their snug private 'caves'. It was very private but suffered from a lack of service attention. We had to remind several times when they forgot items and in the end cancelled some of the outstanding dishes because we had lost interest by the time they got round to it. On the plus side, the food was great and although pricey didn't feel like a rip-off. Would try it again and give them a second chance.
Perfect! Just the right place for a special pre - theatre dinner!
Great food but London prices.... eeek !
Staff was incredible and really made it a pleasurable experience.
It is such a shame that the service at this restaurant is just not up to scratch. The hostess seemed like she would have liked to have been somewhere else. Our server, when we saw him, seemed to think he would tell us what we would order and then was shocked when we chose differently. The place is kind of like Fawlty Towers in a chic setting with very good food.
Freezing cold restaurant, service took ~40 minutes even though it was nearly empty, portions were small for the price (and salad looked/tasted a little dubious...)
Very small portions so not good value for money. One very poor dish although they did take that off the bill.
Service was ok. Uni was decetm
Great cuisine and excellent place for pre theatre meal.
Excellent food and wine but I would describe the service as dozy. Well intentioned but staff clearly not trained properly and it had to be requested all the time.
Wonderful food and our second visit. Will be back for a third!
Very poor service combined small uninspiring venue and expensive of good food. It took 15 min after we were seated to be greeted (at 18:00 when they weren’t busy) and when we finally flagged someone down to order they knew little about the menu, food came very late even as a pre theatre menu and then they charged us wrong. Not worth the price.
Went here before going to see Hamilton - very convenient for that theatre. Service was quite attentive even though we were in a tucked away booth (our choice) and very informative. Cuisine is Japanese / Peruvian and some of the best we've ever had - would definitely return for a longer evening when we could explore the menu further.
Modern, small but well-designed premises on 3 small floors - cosy without being in your neighbour's lap. Excellent cuisine well executed - tacos worth a try, good nigiri and delicious robata. Service professional and warm but a little slow when we wanted the bill.
Was a good dinner just a bit shame despite no booking it would been better to be given an alternate table or be given the option. That aside food and services was v high level.
Bad service with staff member who may have been new. But food esxcellent
