A stand-out restaurant close to the Victoria Palace Theatre where we went to see Hamilton after dinner at Uni. The food was exciting and beautifully crafted. Japanese with touches of Peru on the menu. The dinner was made especially memorable thanks to our outstanding waitress, Natascia, who was knowledgeable, courteous, yet unobtrusive.
Best sushi we’d ever had! Bit pricey but very tasty.
The food is absolutely delicious. One of my favourite places to eat.
Very beautiful, intimate venue with attentive service and spectacular food
Unfortunately, they had very little on the menu available due to a broken cooker. We left instead of staying and eating something that we didn't want to and didn't want to risk it with the raw fish because if the cooker is broken who knows what the refrigeration was like. Would not attempt it again.
Sorry to hear about your experience at UNI. Unfortunately even in small-medium size restaurants as UNI the kitchen has more than fifteen bulky equipments. And we only have space for one of a kind of some of them, like the deep frier. That means when this is broken we have to give the service doing our best but ALWAYS following the health & safety protocols. I will like to invite you to give us another opportunity to show how good the food is in UNI.
beautiful & delicious meal / lovely ambiance & attentive & pleasant service - thank you A. Ambort
Amazing sushi, wait staff were fantastic and gave great recommendations. Would highly encourage anyone to visit.
P.S. make sure to try the cocktails!!
Delicious but portion sizes very small and prices very big.
Drink prices were especially extortionate.
Amazing food and great value, and great area for the theatres.
My mum and I are huge sushi fans. Uni was disappointing. The service was very slow and the more we tried to get someones attention, the less we were seen. The yellowtail sushi was fishy and tasted like it had been frozen for ages. The Salmon was OK. The Toro was terrible and cut really badly. The California roll was ok. The Uni tasted not fresh at all and was toppled over on the plate (super expensive to serve it that way). We were just unhappy, especially with how expensive sushi is in the UK... There are much better places in Knightsbridge which are at the same price point and the quality is significantly better. The music was also really loud. One great thing was when we told the manager about the toro and yellowtail he was apologetic and took them off our bill which we appreciated. Unfortunately, we will not try UNI again.
Food is ok for a pre-theatre meal, but the place is small, and the service is not efficient. We enjoyed sushi, but the portions were small.
Waitress had no idea on the menu and could not answer questions, and wasn't interested in seeking clarity from other members of staff. Some dishes very over priced and you can find much better value in central London. Restaurant was empty for pre theatre session, surprisingly for a restaurant with good reviews on a Friday night. No toilet paper in the bathroom, rather strange given it had just started dinner service. Definitely would not recommend.
Staff were nice, but I was quite disappointed with the serving sizes of the tacos (a joke) and the California Rolls - tasted nice. But was starving when I left.
My partners food was fine, and had no complaints.
Excellent dining and food experience.
Lovely sushi, but the service was very slow on a Friday evening at 8pm. Lots of other tables looked annoyed as well.
Amazing sushi restaurant! Food is excellent and the service very friendly. Very close to Victoria Station!
good food and friendly service but very expensive, even for belgravia, and prices out of kilter with the setting.
Massively overpriced and mediocre
Second time in UNI. Amazing food and really fresh sushi. One of the best sushi restaurant in London. Staff was lovely and helpful. You have to try the miso black cod!
The food here is delicious but the portions are miniscule. Be prepared to pay a lot for a very small amount of food!
Food is great, but we waited ages for our food, when we told them at the start that we had a theatre booking. Different starters came at different times. Difficult to get any waiters' attention.
Very overrated. Went prior to the theater, told the waitress when we got there our schedule, 1 1/2 hours time allotted. Were not served main course until we had to leave, so left as it was served. Took several attempts to get wait staff to take drink orders.
Miso soup was terrible, sushi unremarkable. Price too high.
Service was fantastic. The food was so so. I've had better sushi, the seaweed wrap was tough.
Excellent food if a little expensive, but you do get what you pay for. Staff are friendly and acomodating and happy to advise on what and how much to order. Wine list is small but covers all the bases. Both upstairs bar seating and downstairs tabled seating are cosy but are comfortable and don't feel at all cramped
Too expensive for what it is. Too many deliveroos drivers if you are sitting at the counter
Food was ok but for the price there are better place
Food wasn’t that great.
Food was fine, service was good esp. allergy awareness but prices were astronomical.
Unfortunately very slow service. I had to wait for miso soup for over 30 mins when the restaurant was virtually empty. Food is good but overpriced. I used to like the place but no longer.
Very good experience. Thanks. All was very good and tasty. We'll recommended it.
The experience was so odd and uncomfortable. We sat at the counter as we usually like to interact with the chefs. A bunch of young kids and no one barely acknowledged us. Our waitress was the hostess and she was efficient although not super warm nor friendly. The other staff were behaving like they disliked each other and didn’t want to be there which made for a very awkward, uncomfortable experience for us as diners. The good was decent - nothing exciting but unfortunately soured by this unnecessary tension that was palpable. I noticed they were fulfilling lots of takeaway orders and that speaks volumes. Food okay, service not so much.
Really great sushi. Also had an amazing steak and the crispiest popcorn shrimp - loved it thank you !!
Wow what an amazing venue . And Incredible food ! 100% worth a visit !
Pre theatre menu was perfect and served in a timely manner - really close to the theatre so worked really well. Lovely food.
Service extremely friendly, food delicious, but portion sizes small for cost. Over all a good experience though and I would go back without hesitation
Delicious food, but my goodness the portions were teeny tiny.
Grossly expensive for poor portions of messy sushi roughly put together. Staff were in there own world running up and down the stairs at speed with food, counting the minutes to go off clubbing and served us like robots for the most part. We we Insincerely treated with no real personality. Very disappointed and felt a bit ripped off.
Great place! Calm ambience. Great food. Celebrated my wife’s birthday there.
Great service, lovely ambiance, delicious food. We had the pre theatre set menu which was great value
