Great food, friendly staff and good value, we will definitely go back when the restaurant opens after lockdown

From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were given a very warm welcome and allotted an amazing table for our date. Our waiters were exceptionally attentive and friendly as they made us feel extremely comfortable which added even more to the ambience. The food was exquisite and wine choice delectable. We will certainly be back!

The staff were very friendly and professional. The food was excellent - especially the fish The set menu offers very good value too.

Very good restaurant. Pleasant, prompt service and very good food. The pizza Wellington is really clever and the cod over polenta was exceptional.

Food was great. They forgot to bring the salad until the very end of the meal! with 10 pm curfew everything was a bit rushed, but otheriwse a good experience!

First thing: the staff take the covid restrictions very seriously ( rightly) so make sure you have you have your mask on entry. The QR for covid app is just to the right of the desk.
However, once seated, the staff are as efficient & charming as ever. Our first choice of wine was unavailable & the wine waiter readily recommended an alternative.
Food lovely & unpretentious. The uovo were soft so if you’re a fan of hard boiled eggs, think carefully.
I had hake which was lovely. My partner had lamb which was perfect. Also courgette ‘fries’.
Double espresso fine. Partner thought his filter coffee might have been marginally burnt but I can’t confirm this as he still drank it! All in all a lovely evening. Many thanks x

There weren't enough staff on the night. Also, the food was slightly on the salty side. Otherwise, it was fine.

Great setting and ambience, food was good but although the serving staff were lovely, it was slow and some orders were forgotten.

I have been here half a dozen times over the years as always liked the room, the staff and the location combined with decent cooking. However, just been post lockdown and have to say the food had taken a real dive. Basic Italian staples had been given eccentric and unnecessary twists that didn't work plus the general execution of the dishes was below par.

We made a last minute booking and arrived 15 minutes later. They were well prepared and a table was ready for us. The restaurant seemed to be understaffed and the staff who were there seemed to be running around a lot, probably could have done with another member of staff. However they were all very friendly. We ordered a bottle of wine with our meal which we had to ask for twice; once again the staff member who served us looked a bit flustered but apologised and went to get it straight away and was very pleasant. We weren’t sure whether we wanted dessert when a staff member asked but although we decided we would get some we then couldn’t flag down a waiter to order it, so then decided not to. Altogether a pleasant experience and nice food, slightly marred by the apparent understaffing. But to reiterate, the staff who were there were lovely and made it an enjoyable evening.

It was a lovely evening. Stuff were very nice and we could see they were busy. So the waiting time was extend, which is fine. The whole dinning experience was lack of some vibes and energy. It’s a new hard time and reality for food industry. I definitely recommend it but l won’t be back.

My wife and some friends went out for her birthday. Exceptional food, service and value for money. The love London menu was amazing and whole evening was 10 out of 10.

I went here with my partner. We had the love London menu, which was incredible value. The a la crate menu looked very tempting as well, and personally I feel that a one page menu where you have difficulty deciding what you want to eat because everything looks so good is the hallmark of a top restaurant. Every single dish we ordered was excellent, the food was very well thought out without being over complicated, with components chosen to complement without overpowering or losing focus. Having eaten in many Italian restaurant both in Italy and in London, I have to say that this is the best interpretation of Italian cuisine outside Italy that I have been to
In addition, the service was friendly and very attentive, without being overbearing which is perfect. Lastly the venue was outstanding, I was particularly impressed by the subtle lighting effects which added to the ambiance

Had an absolute amazing evening. Marco the barman and Davide the head Chef we’re both extremely friendly and made the evening amazing. I will definitely be returning as soon as I can. 10 out of 10. Best restaurant around.

Really enjoyed our meal at Union ST. We had the LOVE London meal which is very good value (even better with Eat Out). The starters (belly pork - stuffed and sliced ultra thin; and burata and aubergine) were exceptionally tasty. The main courses good - though they come without much in carbs to fill you up (so those with a healthy appetite need to buy a side dish). Desserts a bit meh.

What was in no way value for money was the wine list: I saw a wine I know - available on the Wine Society website for 9.95 - priced at £52. Price gouging or what.

Perfectly serviceable meal with friends, but nothing special and doesn’t feel authentically Italian, in service or in the food, despite clear effort being made on both fronts. The wine list, whilst extensive, is also poor value compared to the food.

Thought it was a bit pricey for what it was. Pleasant staff though!

A last minute lunch after a visit to the Tate Modern. Perfectly located and an excellent #LoveLondon 2 course lunch, albeit with limited choices. As expected, coming out of the lockdown, the restaurant wasn't bustling, but tables were well spaced and the service was attentive whilst remaining relaxed. The air-con was a little overzealous despite the hot day outside. I was pleased to have a napkin to cover my legs!

Highly recommended and will be back.

Love London menu is an absolute bargain. Really good sized portions for the price although we had a bruschetta to share as well and zucchini cooked in saffron which were spiralised and deep fried (they were class)

Had a great meal at Union Cafe. I have been in the process ot ticking off as many Gordon Ramsay restaurants as possible. That was number 7. Lovely set up and I like the fact that you can see into the kitchen. Delicious food as always and so grateful for specials like Love London/ Summer London that give me the opportunity to tick a few more off my list without spending a fortune. Although I have been to Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and that was 100% worth the fortune! Always good food, great service and will definitely be back again!

The service wasn't the best, a lot of the time we felt abandoned during the meal looking for a waiter. Right from receiving a menu through to paying the bill. We were shocked that a 15% service charge was added to the bill for shocking service! Also the food did not meet expectations!

First dining experience in a while and didn’t disappoint. The pork gnocchi was my highlight but the octopus and porchetta were both delicious too. Thanks to Davide and Marco - glad to see you open again.

We were well looked after throughout the visit and the new changes were simple to follow. The food was good but I had higher expectations. I would visit again for cocktails and dessert though.
