Been dining here for numerous years (since the '90's) and never fails to disappoint. Used to be the best kept secret in Birmingham but now more and more are becoming aware of its excellent cuisine and value for money.

8 of us booked for lunch for my sister’s 80th Birthday. As we entered the restaurant the atmosphere was warm and friendly with all of students greeting us with a smile. The meal itself was much more than I expected with a choice suitable for all. The overall presentation and taste of the food was superb. All of the students were a delight and they all went out of there way to ensure we had everything that we wanted. I must commend all of them and praise the behind the scene students also for a wonderful meal. We came from all over the country to be together and we’re
all going to do it again very soon.

The food we had was of a very high standard, the restaurant has a lovely ambiance, and waiting staff were very friendly and attentive. My husband had the hake main, which as cooked beautifully as was my beef bourginion, we both finished with lemon tart which was divine. We will certainly be making a regular trip to eat here, an absolute bargain!

My first time at College of Food and the Brasserie. Very impressed by ambition of menu. Meat and sea food well cooked although some of the accompanying vegetables were just a tad over. Very impressive Sommelier who produced a really good bottle of red for us. Staff were generally enthusiastic and accommodating. Environment could do with a freshening up-looks a little tired. We will definitely book again.

Food was spot on. I ordered my main without pancetta (could be tricky if dishes pre prepared) and it came as required. Orders were being placed by waiters with guests at table using newly introduced tablet computers. These simultaneously sent the orders to chefs in the kitchen. All seemed to work well. Communications with the kitchen went without a glitch.

The innocence and youth of the waiters was lovely to observe.

A Gregory Porter CD played in the background which helped provide an intimate setting for a meal.

All was clean and tidy as one would expect and the toilets were of a good standard.

Each course of the meal was of an exceptionally high standard.

Congratulations to staff and students.
