Nice food and service
Honest, uncomplicated food
Superb cooking of the best quality ingredients I have seen in the UK - in fact it feels very like my favourite izakaya in Tokyo.
Excellent food and services. The restaurant is not very big so better book in advance.
We had a great night at Uoichi. We had an array of Japanese ‘tapas’, reordering several shared dishes because they were so delicious. The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful with explaining some items.
A much more casual dining experience than other London Japanese restaurants.
Particular favourites were the chicken wings, gyoza and the sashimi is just fantastic.
All very good value as well coming in at £35 per head with several rounds of Kirin lager included.
Will definitely be revisiting.
Great first experience at Uoichi and it didn’t disappoint at all. Friends were raving about this place and now I understand why. The food is authentic and top quality as well as great value for money. It’s a no frills sort of environment which focuses of good food and friendly service. Having lived in Japan for three years, this certainly made me think back to some of my favourite izakaya spots in Tokyo. I would definitely go back!
The quality of food is good, the portion is a little bit too small for sushi. Overall satisfaction is good including all food and drinks.
Excellent food and very friendly service. Highly recommend
This was a lovely dining experience! The staff were lovely, and the food delicious.
very authentic Japanese restaurant. outstanding care for the diners. incredible fish quality.
Great little gem in my local area. Food was fresh and authentic, the sashimi u had was first class.
Service is second to none. The lady owner who runs the front of house is super friendly and helpful.
This place will now become my regular now. So glad I found it
Best Sashimi of London !!! Will defenitely come back !
An authentic Japanese restaurant - a precious find, credit to the shared passion of husband and wife. A very special place.
Small restaurant managed by husband and wife. Food was lovely and service was great. The rib-eye steak which was on the specials deserves a special mention..perfectly cooked and melts in mouth.
Will definitely be returning
Highlights for us were the salmon sashimi, tiger prawn teppanyaki and matcha ice cream (with delightfully unexpected mini mochi and red bean). Was pleasantly surprised by the quality - about half the price of Roka for something of higher quality and authenticity. I will be returning to get through more of the menu.
It’s super exciting to know that we’ve got a izakaya on the Isle of Dogs. Both the food and the service are very lovely. Would go frequently;)
This small but very authentic Japanese Izakaya with excellent food is a best kept secret in Canary Wharf/South Quay area. Everyone must try the incredibly fresh Assorted Sashimi and the Japanese
style fried chicken. The Japanese owner chef is from Tokyo (hence the authenticity which is lacking
in major Japanese chain, such as Wagamama, Roka, Sticks and Sushi (though its owner is half Japanese),
etc. The staff was very attentive, professional and very friendly. We will come again!
The service was exceptional- could not of done more.
The food was fantastic and the quality was great. The sashimi was a little pricey but so delicious.
We will definitely go back.
Lovely little restaurant. The food was great and the owners were super friendly. We even went two days in a row!
Very friendly + great food! Would reccomend. Thanks for a good meal.
Good food and good service. Authentic Japanese with generous portions - will be back!
