On the first day open after 3 months in lock-down it was great to get back to eating out and while there had to be changes to the way we interact the staff were great and reassuring without being uptight. The food was excellent as usual.
The overall experience was very good! We enjoyed our time at Urban Brewing. The Tapas was gorgeous and the portions were very big. Unfortunately we had to leave some food behind. I would recommend ordering small first and if you want to add on after then do. The price is a little high however the portion sizes would explain this. The vibe and decor is also stunning. We will definitely be back here.
It was my leaving do from work as I got promoted and will be managing a new satellite outpatients clinic. Definitely coming back....
Great beer menu, food is always nice! Would definitely recommend.
Nice place, very good quality crafted beers!
We asked for a table downstairs for more drinks and dessert after dinner upstairs and the waiter never came back
It was my first time visiting Urban Brewing and I'll definitely be back. There were eight of us and everyone loved their tapas. The portions were generous too. The place looked great and the waiter serving us was lovely. Couldn't have asked for a better night. Thank you
Amazing venue, but you would expect much more from the food for the price.
Warm, friendly, great food - polenta fries were our favorite
I’ve been here before and have loved the ambiance and the food. This week I found the service and atmosphere to be pretty bad. The weird thing was, it was quiet compared to everywhere else given that it’s Christmas week so it’s hard to excuse the slow service and the kitchen forgetting about part of our order
Hi Sinead, Thanks for being our regular guest, we love it when our guests visit us regularly. It is disappointing to hear that on your recent visit the service didn't live up to your standards and was below our own reasonable expectations. It is also unfortunate that a part of your order was forgotten, however we are happy that we could make it up to you when you were here. We assure you that it was just a slip and not a regular occurrence. Hope to welcome you back soon, The Urban Team.
The food was lovely but it came out very scattered. We only had a few of our dishes most of the time and we were well finished everything by the time our flatbreads arrived.
Once I booked this place I thought it would be a romantic place to bring my girlfriend, but it ended up being very noisy and messy. I think there was a few groups of people celebrating downstairs so they were being very loud, there was a moment all of them just came all together dancing and shouting, which could be fun if I was going to a pub.
We got our menus from a supervisor or a manager that wasn’t the friendliest. They were tapas menus and we didn’t know they had dinner there as well so we ordered the tapas, and once we saw someone having dinner we thought of ordering something from the dinner menu since we were still hungry (the portions are expensive and very small), so we asked one of the waiters to bring us the menu and he brought it straight away (this one was nice). Once we had decided what we wanted, the supervisor came and got the menus from us saying we couldn’t order anything from that menu. It was very fast and we didn’t quite understand what was happening so we asked again and he was very short saying that we couldn’t order anything from that menu because we had already gotten something from the tapas menu.
This whole mess wouldn’t be a problem if it was explained since the begging that they have two different menu options and we could choose one of them.
Also, once we got to the table we had to ask someone for the drinks menu, so they brought us the wine menu, then we wondered if they had beers, and only then they brought us the beers menu.
We would have to wait for ages until someone looked to our table when we had something to ask, the feeling I had is that they were with too many people to look after even though I didn’t see that many people where we were. But mostly the supervisor was very short and seemed very impatient all the time.
There was no information given and a lack of communication in our experience, so we weren’t very happy about it and overall I wouldn’t recommend the place. Other than that, the food was amazingly tasty.
Great for everything! Speer swift service, delicious food & fab range of beers
Great food, decor and ambiance. Would give a 4 only for the fact as a coeliac i was quite restricted on options versus other restaurants. What I had was gorgeous and my friends really enjoyed their food. I would highly recommend for non coeliacs.
Very fancy place. Wide selection of beers and (tapas) menu with a lot of options, also for vegetarians. The food is good but not excellent, certainly not the main reason to go there. However, considering the atmosphere, the service, the selection of beers, cocktails and spirits, I would definitely recommend this place.
Went on s Saturday night, got wet through on route. Helped us dry with napkins, brought is drinks over, very friendly. Lovely tapas food eaten in their half inside/ outside area. Lovely ambience, would go again when in Dublin
Very nice food, service, ambiance - couldn't fault.... well except that its far away from nice bars for afterward!
We were in from Canada and the Open Table entry states that bookings will be put into a vault. However it did not mention that the vaults were not open on Sundays. So when we arrived we were placed by the smoky patio with the door left open to the cold all night and our server had to be waved down each time we needed to order.
This was hands down the best meal I've had in Dublin. The tapas menu was varied and interesting, and everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. Highlights included seared tuna with a sticky soy glaze, beef croquettes with blue cheese sauce, and whole soft shell crab. The beers were all really good and paired nicely with the food. The atmosphere was terrific too, sitting in the vaults was an experience by itself.
Excellent service, delicious food, awesome drinks!!! Will definitely go back!
A very interesting menu with a great selection of drinks.
Ambience and atmosphere is what you would expect
Tables downstairs in the vaults were fantastic
Lovely location, pleasant service, good variety of food & great beer!
Marvellous tapas and good beer -- only downside was that it was quite loud!
Ireland tends to serve large portions so we were very happy to find this tapas restaurant where we could scale down our dinner a bit without sacrificing well prepared food. The service was great and the food excellent.
If you pass by the restaurant on the street level you’ll see lots of young people drinking good beer. But since we had a reservation we were led downstairs to a very old stone storage area that has been refurbished. This helped make out dinner even more special.
I ordered charred sweetcorn, it was cold, uncharred and covered in butter. Not nice!
Hallumi is already salty, no need to salt the batter and the Beeramisu was a total disappointment. Beer sorbet was delicious, the “tiramisu” was the worst thing I’ve tasted in a while. Two nice concepts, poor execution.
Delicious meal for Saturday brunch, nice setting in bright atrium bar and great service!
Wow! Urban is the bomb! Delicious and innovative tapas and the wine list, whiskey and cocktail menu is so much fun to peruse. Check this place out, we chose to eat in the cellar buy you can eat upstairs as well. It’s located in a repurposed warehouse that also houses the fantastic and popular Irish Immigration experience which is definitely a must see!
They didn’t have the wine we wanted. The food came out too quickly, we were rushing to eat as there was no room on the table for the food we had ordered & it arrived in an unusual order for tapas, with the flat bread coming last. No-one came to see if everything was ok with the food either. The tapas area was half empty yet we were sat next to a noisy group who had not pre-booked their table, as we had. The decor was stunning but don’t like the concept of unisex toilets in a restaurant. Unfortunately we will not eat here again.
Great food and a great night had... predictability good as always. Never fails.
Good good and great tasting beer. We only tried the lunch in the bar, but would like to come back for a dinner in the vaults.
Great food and cool environment! It was a little loud but overall amazing. The drinks were a good value and the food perfect for sharing although they have non-sharing plates as well.
We had a lovely evening, staff were lovely and the food and drinks were amazing!
The place is lovely. Great food, great drinks, great drinks. It was just a bit cold inside.
The food and the beer selection were amazing. I just wish there were more options on tap. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Dublin. Cheers!
We had some lovely cocktails & tapas before heading to the 3Arena. Best Porn Star Martini ever! Food was so tasty & gf diets catered with no problems. Will definitely be returning.
Our party of 6 visited for a special birthday treat, we made a slight mistake with our booking but the staff were fantastic in helping us out so we still had a fabulous experience. Great service, jaw-dropping surroundings.
Excellent service and food! I really enjoyed the ambiance in the light filled bar. Definitely want to go back to see the vaults!
Absolutely loved our experience in UB. Met there with friends and we were blown away with your hospitality guys. Could you thank you enough for your service. Thank you so much and we will definitely be back ❤️
Fantastic place for brunch - delicious options, great drink selection and standard price point. Will absolutely be back for more.
