The Halloween pop up decor was amazing. Went for Brunch and the Brunchanadas were bomb! They have Bottomless mimosas too!
I was so excited to try this place because of the decor for Halloween but the section of the place that was decorated was closed off when I went. The drinks were crazy overpriced and disgusting I’ve never sent back drinks but I had to and this clearly upset their rude manager. Service was slow but the waitresses were sweet (the only saving grace). The music in this place is awful and so ridiculously loud. Never again the vibes were just awful.
Made reservations and when we arrived we were told they had a party of 100 and could not give us seating in the dining area. The only option they gave us was a small table top that did not have enough room for us to have drinks and food. I expressed our concern and they did not seem to care. Ended up leaving to go the another restaurant.
Semi disappointed by this restaurant. I had high hopes, but service was insanely slow. It took 30 min to get a drink and our food came before the drinks. They even gave us plastic silverware in to go packs, which was just sad.
Awful experience. Received no service for over 10 minutes while the server ma helped those around us. Wasn’t crowded at all so it’s not like that could’ve been the reason. After flagged someone down we had a waiter who didn’t return with drinks for another 10 minutes while those around us received drinks. Highly disappointed about the service and won’t ever return or recommend this to others.
The Halloween drinks were terribly overpriced over $22 dollars each and tasted like medicine. I wouldn’t have mind the price if they were decent but they weren’t. Food was mediocre as well. Would not recommend.
We love this place!
Waited an hour for seating even though we had a reservation.
It took 30 minutes for the server to input our order after waiting 20 minutes for the server to make it to the table.
Asked for more water several times and never received it.
The food was terrible. Out of our party of ten, only four people could eat their food. Most of the food was inedible, although it presented pretty.
We asked for the heaters to be turned on multiple times and they were never turned on.
Don’t waste your time and money at this restaurant. I don’t believe all the positive reviews are real…they can’t be!
It was genuinely just okay. Fine for everyday but seems unreliable for a special occasion and rather expensive for the quality of service
Food was very meh. Macaroni and cheese was horrible.
Service outside was terrible. Our group sat there with water for 25 minutes before our server came by to ask about drinks or food. The couple next to us ended up leaving because of their similar experience waiting. Restaurant ran out of significant food items on the menu- everything our group wanted to order was out on a Sunday at 5p. We were told it was a “long day”… No regular silverware bc it was “all in the wash” so we were eating with to-go silverware. For the pricing and the hype of the restaurant, I expected a better experience. Unfortunately, we will not be going back. We ended up finding a restaurant around the corner to eat actual dinner instead. Definitely disappointed.
The decor was nice. The food was trash! The crab and salsa came with plantains and lays chips instead of what was said on the menu (warm baguettes and tortilla chips). The server didn’t let us know that they ran out at all.
We reserved an opentable reservation for indoors to be told there were no more seats available inside. what was the point of the online reservation then… We were then sat outside and were hopeful that the seating issue would be the only inconvenience. Unfortunately the birthday boys order was made incorrectly, not once but twice. Not sure if the server was new or just overwhelmed with how busy it was but it did feel like the server was not listening to the simple request to not have a simple sauce removed from the dish. After the order was made incorrectly the second time, the manager told us about a no refund policy only replacement or remakes. why would we want the dish remade for a third time? smh… Ultimately the ambiance is nice, the food is good, but it does suck that service doesn’t have that same energy. Hopefully they work on building customer service in the future.
It was very easy to find, the hostess was very nice and we were seated promptly. The food was very good. The main reason we came was for the cocktails, but our drinks were way too strong and we were brought the wrong appetizer initially and the forgot one. All in all it was still an enjoyable experience.
Outside dinning was very nice, tables are a bit low since they also serve as a hot pit for s'mores. There was also a 90 minute limit on table we weren't aware about, didn't really make a difference, staff and food was very good. Great place to go for a casual night out in DC.
Service was very slow and drinks were not as good. One friend’s white Russian seemed to have spoiled dairy in it and tasted awful. Prices are not worth it for the quality of drinks.
Service was okay but like most places probably a little understaffed. Food was weak. I had the BBQ brisket sandwich and it was swimming in sauce that was too sweet. The brisket was tough and hard to bite through. It felt like a 13 year old dumped a jar of sauce on roast beef and put it on a roll.
The place was decorated for Halloween and they went all out. I appreciated the effort but again it felt like a middle school dance not a hip restaurant.
Maybe we just chose bad menu options.
Honestly the worse dining experience I've ever had. Food and service were gross
Go for a coffee or cocktail, but don’t expect good service, value, or food. The decor, however, is 10/10.
Great experience. Lots of options and they we so nice.
birthday brunch date with my friends, turned into dinner food was delicious everyone enjoyed.
Where do I begin? The food was terrible. They served us POWDERED eggs. The servers had no clue what was going on. We specifically asked when we got there, if we’d be able to order brunch food. We were told yes. All to be told that none of the stuff we wanted to order was available. I will not be back.
While the Decour was absolutely amazing and a hostess was super friendly and welcoming… We were 1000% disappointed in the quality of our food from urban roast, Our $50 seafood charcuterie board was underwhelming with four over cooked shrimp, Two large diced strawberries three dry unsweetened orange slices, The ahi tuna was good, The barbecue salmon was seasoned well but dry… This experience was very disappointing as we travelled from out of town just to dine at urban roast, Unfortunately we had to wrap dinner up early at the appetizer and make alternate dinner plans due to the Lack luster Appetizer… We left sad and hungry… Our hostess, with the two ponytails was absolutely amazing she was friendly, accommodating and professional… Everyone at the front made us feel very welcome, and it was so unfortunate that we had to end the night the way we did… Awesome drink selection but this place is a café/ bar and definitely not for dinner…
Wanted to see the Halloween decor. The restaurant did an amazing job decorating for Halloween! Very energetic . Should consider on expanding space , I could see that it gets very busy ! Overall great experience!
Fun environment! Just a warning it is loud and the food is fun but not the best in the world. Have been twice though and would go back!
Our service was terrible! The food was not good at all. Overall I was so disappointed. Our waitress had an attitude the entire time. We wanted our fire pit lit and I had to beg someone to do it. He only lit one even tho we were sitting to two tables.. I was just so upset. Won’t be visiting again.
Once we arrived the HOSTESS were SOOO RUDE!!! looked at us up and down instead of greeting us. stared us down for about 30 seconds until i said i had a reservation at 7. the waiter was so sweet. but the food was really expensive for no reason & it was not even enough to get you full!!! i got the garlic and shrimp which was $21 for 5 shrimps and it was not even dipped in garlic it comes with onions and other veggies had no FLAVOR at all. I would not recommend. Not to mention the empadnadas were so TINY & it was just 1!! the place is beautiful to take pictures but I wouldn’t come again.
The food was terrible. I made a reservation and still had to wait 25 minutes to be seated. The music was also very loud and it was difficult to have conversation, and the music selection did not help.
They gave me the wrong food took it back and took forever to bring me the right order. Also I ordered orange juice it came from the bar because the waiter said that they ran out in the back my orange was warm. The music was playing to loud I have to talk very loud to my friends at the table it felt iiilike I was a
For only having an hour and a half allotted for a reservation, you’d think they would be bringing food and drinks out a lot quicker. They seemed to be confused on which drinks went to which table. They actually gave us a mojito pitcher instead of a margarita pitcher. Some of the food took a while to come out too and didn’t all come out at the same time. The atmosphere and selection of drinks/food was awesome!
Server and Manager were awesome! Can’t remember her name but she was a small blonde girl loved her!
The food and drinks were good when you got them. My experience leading up to going was great, Jayda called to make sure we were still coming and was nice when we had to alter our party size last minute. We got to the table and were told it was a two hour time limit. Two members of my part hadn’t received any food they ordered after an hour and a half. We asked every 15/20 minutes or when we could find our server where there food was and was told the kitchen was backed up so we just ordered more drinks. Fast forward 30 minutes until our time was up we were told their food was given to another table and that it’d be another 20 minutes for it to come out and all she could offer them was 25% off of the dishes that were late. They would’ve had 10 minutes to eat and still have to pay after waiting for so long so they declined. The manager bought us a round of shots for the inconvenience so okay but not the experience you want when your friends are coming to your birthday DINNER.
We sat outside and this was our first time visiting DC. The food was trash honestly McDonald’s was better according to my husband. The vibes were great and the drinks were great but food was blah
We were outside, we were a large group and the staff was overwhelmed but they stayed on top of things and worked hard to get everything out to us. Only one beverage never came out but they took it off the bill with no trouble. And the food was outstanding.
Small selection of entrees. Bland food. REALLY slow food and waiter service- felt like my party was neglected as other tables were taken care of (got there at 9:15, didnt ORDER food until 10:30). Extremely loud.
Garlic butter shrimp? Ha! You mean 3 large unseasoned shrimp surrounded by baby shrimps and a chunk of garlic sitting in butter and oil for ~$20.
It was aesthetically pleasing though.
Didn’t get a birthday dessert, drink or happy birthday song
The server forgot one of our meals, and when we checked in with her about it, she said the kitchen ran out of that item. We were an hour and 15 minutes into the reservation and a host from up front told us we have a 2 hour time limit however it was already clear we had everything packed up and were just waiting on the check. Guests kept shouting, screaming and chanting instead of just talking amongst their table.
overall, i was disappointed by the restaurant after hearing many good reviews online
Great experience I love the board options we had the rise and shine. Classic board. And brunchanada. Bottomless mimosas come with the most amazing style where they bring you full bottles of champagne consistently ThAts my favorite part !
The food was subpar. The seafood wasn't fresh and appeared as something you should not consume. It looked as though it wasn't fresh or had been sitting out, unrefrigerated. We had 3 boards. One seafood, one empanada board (it was ok), and one Belgian waffle/pastry board. The waffles were hard, the other pastries were ok. 3 glasses of champagne and a pitcher of sangria. The server was terrific. However, the manager tried to justify the appearance of the seafood. board.
Inside is very loud, you can't hear anyone talking to you. Outside was better. The food came out with a bug in it that the waiter attempted to remove and continue to sit on our table. The menu seemed much more limited in choices from earlier visit. Likely would not be rushing to go back
