    Me and my husband had an amazing experience at vaasu in Marlow .We went for my birthday and both had the tasting menu . It was amazing. The staff were very attentive. The atmosphere was buzzing. Will definitely return.

    Lovely evening, food was good and varied. Expensive for what it is and the bar shut at 10pm. Staff were attentive and we all enjoyed the evening overall.

    Had a wonderful 3 course lunch and glass of wine each. Portions size was just right and service excellent. The only criticism might be that the toilet cleaning could be slightly better. Other than that was excellent

    I was hugely disappointed with the food. We only ordered the vegetarian options, so this review is about those specific dishes. The popadom sauces were boring, the starters were bland - paneer and bhaji. The bhaji was basic and claggy, as you might find in any below average Indian takeaway. Zero imagination and flavour ingenuity. The main, Paneer makhani, tasted like tomato soup with cumin in. Nothing had a freshness taste to it, it was all samey, sweet and creamy. Yawn! If you are vegan or vegetarian, I really would not bother. Thankfully it was not too expensive.

    The restaurant was lovely felt a little rushed between courses and the toilets could do with some attention cobwebs and dusty .. the service was attentive , maybe a little too much four different waiters running around .. overall as a voucher holder it was a lovely 3 course set menu ..

    Our second time at Vaasu, this time with friends. Food was as good as before, and the tasting menu was good value for what you get - a range of delicious flavours. Service started off well, with dishes served in a timely manner. But half way through, things began to slow up. We explained we had a train to catch, but had to chase for the desserts twice - by the time we received them it must have been a good 30 minutes since they cleared the main course plates away. We felt we had time for coffees, but again they took forever to come. Though yhe bill arrived very promptly! This haphazard service took the edge off what could have been a lovely evening

    Amazing 7 course tasting menu, my no sea food request was met with no problem with a dish being swapped out. Food was incredible and service was excellent. We will be back

    Travelled from South Wales especially for this meal and expectations were high from a restaurant owned by a 2 Michelin starred chef. The best part of the meal was the poppadoms. Starter of seabass was underwhelming and the crispy lobster was so overcooked it was like rubber, the chilly heat so hot it totally overwhelmed my palette. The steamed rice was stone cold and butter chicken Luke warm. We cut our losses and left early. Waiter took off service charge but still left a bitter taste-literally. More like a flat Michelin tyre!

    Side dishes are the real star. My cod was tiny and a bit overcooked for the price. Lobster main had run out. Lobster starter very nice and masala cocktail lovely. Not as good as previous visits. Shame the pescatarian tasting menu can't be for two on a table for four.

    Vaasu was easy to book however the parking can be tough, so a bit of planning needed. Food choices were limited but excellent. Food itself was outstanding. Lamb chop and butter chicken is recommended. Would like to have more variety such as Lassi. We knew what we were getting and are extremely satisfied. Highly recommended.

    We went to visit friends in marlow and they suggested Vasu. We had the al a'carte menu We ordered a papad for the table and we got three different kind with two different kinds of sauces the chilli mayo and the mango berry chutney were enjoyed by the children the most, The sago papad was a hit. For starters we had the scallops, lamb chops, the cornish sea bass and paneer tikka. The scallops and the lamb chops were a delight. The paneer tikka was soft and well spiced. The fried cornish seabass was crisp on the outside and soft and flaky inside. all the dishes were accompanied chutnies were really good and complimnted the dishes. For the mains we ordered the lamb shank ( two of us shared it as it was a very large portion ) , the vension and the angus beef steak and for accompaniments we had the black lentils the aloo jeera bread and rice. The bread were so soft and flaky and I think this was the only place where I ate more bread than rice. The lamb shank almost fell off the bone with the fork it was so tender the curry was deliciously balanced as well. My friends had the other dishes and they cleaned up thier plates as well. For desert we enjoyed a trio of ice creams and the coconut ice cream was really good. We all enjoyed the meal very much. It was the highlight meal of the whole trip.

    Only negative is that we were seated at the back next to kitchen and lavatories- but hey someone has to be ! It was very busy and quite noisy for a Thurs lunchtime. Service was excellent, plentiful staff and the food was exquisite. We had a five course taster lunch and I had to have a doggy bag as I couldn’t finish it all. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back

    We had a lovely evening. Food, waiters, almost everything fabulous. My only issue was the female toilet - paper tissue on the floor - toilet seat very loose - broken hand dryer - just expected a little more from otherwise a fab night.

    Unfortunately we had an issue with the starter for my Sister-In-Law, she ordered the Onion Bhaji and discovered small metal pieces cooked within the dish which looked like bristles from a wire cleaning brush. The waiter did not apologise immediately but was very quick to explain that this was impossible as all dishes are prepared on site by hand, he then removed the dish and went to get a replacement of the same without checking if she would like something different which did not inspire confidence nor did he check that she was unhurt. Fortunately she was unharmed as this could have caused injury to her mouth or more so if she had ingested. The remainder of the meal was fantastic and we could not fault the food or service after this incident. I do feel that the situation could have been handled better especially as we were extremely discreet, we did not want to alert this mistake to other patrons.

    Delicious unusual flavours. We had the pescatarian tasting menu and each course was as delicious as the next. Very impressive. Great service and nice decor. Just wished the lighting was a little less bright.

    Delicious cuisine served in a relaxed but high end atmosphere, small touches really added to the experience and overall a really enjoyable meal. Service was at times, slow and we felt servers attended to other customers quite frequently and a lot more promptly than we experienced, leaving us at times waiting for long periods unnecessarily (eg at the end of dessert / waiting for the bill/ ordering drinks)
