Vaasu By Atul Kochhar
COMPLIMENTARY VAASU MARTINI
Multiple dates availableDine with us between 5pm-6pm on a Friday and Saturday to get the weekend started with a delicious Vaasu Martini Cocktail with our compliments !
Excellent as always. Lovely team. Attentive and natural.
Interesting modern British Indian cooking. Recommended for vegetarians.
The set lunch is very good value, imaginative and plentiful. There is a good choice of fairly expensive but very tasty wines, cocktails etc. and I particularly appreciated the range of zero alcohol cocktails.
It was quiet when we went so I do not know if it gets noisy when full, but the tables were large and well-spaced.
The service could not have been better, from all the staff.
The one problem was that my husband's seabass was dry and overcooked when it arrived. He mentioned this fact and immediately the plate was taken away and another one brought a little later (freshly cooked and as it should be). Everyone make mistakes; it is what happens afterwards that marks out a good establishment. We received the chef's apologies and agreement that the fish was not right the first time, so we shall be very happy to come here again. (I would like the tasting menu next time. It sounds amazing!)
P.S. I mentioned that it was my birthday and received an additional treat.
What a fabulous lunch. The food, service and ambience were just perfect and it was nothing like Indian food we have ever eaten before. A revelation and sensations in tastes We will be back !
Very attentive staff, the food was tasty, however I had the lamb which was tough. The table was moving when I tried to cut through it, I had to ask for a steak knife. My son had fish for a starter which he said was delicious he had lamb for main which was also tough and needed a steak knife to cut through his. My husband had the lobster which he enjoyed.
Excellent all round.
Fantastic meal from start to finish and brilliant service. Very glad we have access to food like this in Marlow.
Great food on the tasting menu and excellent wine paring, but perhaps a little expensive.
We chose the lunchtime menu which is excellent value for money, with most unusual starters which were delicious, the main courses were also excellent and served with pilau rice and a black lentil dhal.
Excellent lunch. So delicious, well presented and tasty tasty tasty. Can’t wait to go back.
My wife and I love fine dining so on the spur of the moment we booked this a table at Vaasu for a pre theatre meal.
We had read much about Atul Kochar over the years and always thought we could be assured of a good experience should we dine in one of his restaurants. We could not have been more disappointed.
The service was mediocre but not bad. The food was a huge let down.
My wife ordered a vegetarian parcel which seemed to be made of concrete and was almost impossible to cut.i am a real venison lover so I ordered that. What arrived was two pieces of meat which were maybe 1 1/2 inches square! I thought for over £30 I would at least feel that I hadn’t been diddled but sadly the rest of the meal was terrible too.
The much vaunted Mums lentil dish was so strongly flavoured with cloves that it was just medicinal and inedible.
I could go on....
As we were tight for time we decided to just put the visit down to experience and move on. ...
Then we got the bill. I was prepared for it to be pricy but when I read £169 I nearly laughed. On close inspection I found that my wife’s gin and tonic was £14.70!!!
I’m happy to pay good money for a good meal and a special experience but this was probably the worst meal we’ve had for many a year.
I could not recommend any aspect of this restaurant.
Our local Indian eatery is a better place to visit and the food and staff are exemplary, everything that Vaasu is not.
So disappointed, please avoid at all costs.
Great food, nice and busy for a midweek lunch service. Will be going again for the tasting menu:)
Food was not what I expected the meat starters was very dry and the vegetarian starter was not the taste I expected. Meat main was good, vegetarian main was not value for money.
We found the food & drinks to be exceptional, the service from some of the staff was questionable at best - We would come back as both of us are massive fans of Atul's food, I would hope the staff improve.
First time eating at Vassu. Everything was excellent. The quality of food presented was first class and together with first rate service was a good evenings experience.
Great food and service. Will definitely be coming back for some more amazing food.
Lovely welcome, very good service and attention to detail.Food was superb and beautifully presented. Fantastic
A perfect meal; wonderful food enhanced by perfect service - the balance of attentiveness, friendliness and professionalism
An excellent evening. Great food and an interesting menu. Not cheap but little is in Marlow! Ambiance very good although it can be a little noisy.
The lobster was lovely but the lamb was chewy and not that great. Overall the ambience was like any Indian restaurant. Not what we expected.
Limited lunch choice. Full of old people. Great flavours and service.
You know it's a good restaurant when it's fully booked for lunch and you're the only Indian person in an Indian restaurant 😂
First visit to Vaasu. The food was delicious - a major cut above standard Indian restaurant fare - and the service excellent. The lunch set menu was very good value.
Service was excellent and the food was amazing. Most enjoyable
It was the best night out in ages, as a family. Made even more special by great food, service and ambience. The staff are true professionals - made us so welcome.
We had the tasting menu with wine pairings to celebrate an evening. Everything was fab. Highly recommend.
Super food, super service. A little loud for me, but it was a Friday night and the place had great energy.
Great food but the environment did not match expectation especially when you are paying around £100 per head
Had a great evening. Food was delicious and staff very helpful. Very smart restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere.
Fabulous food, every course on taster menu was delicious, especially main course and desert. Very good service. A bit too noisy in the restaurant is the only negative point
Thank you for making our Anniversary special. Food was wonderful, service extremely friendly but very professional and respectful.
The food is incredible! This is the 2nd time we have been here and both times has exceeded expectations. The service is also second to none.
Loved the warm welcome, the interiors, the atmosphere… but obviously for the flavours from the beautifully cooked food…. Just stunning
Not going to forget how good the berry mousse was anytime soon.
The fusion cooking was excellent, everything was packed with wonderful flavours. The service was also fantastic and it was great that Atul had several of the team from his other restaurants.
Not a great experience...made to feel like the "voucher lepers"
A great dinner with lovely staff and service. The flavours were fantastic and we went home fit to burst!
Had lunchtime menu, this limited our choice but was just what we needed at lunchtime. Excellent VFM considering the quality of the meal. Can’t wait to go back & feast from the Al A Carte menu eat first opportunity we get.
One of the best restaurants we have been to. The food was just amazing. We will surely be a regular soon.
Great meal and great evening at Vaasu!
Not the first time we have visited this restaurant and certainly not the last - can't wait to go back!
Great see and amazing food
