Vaca Brava - Old San Juan
Desserts must be improved. The main plate was excellent but desserts were not good
I don't normally badmouth a place but this restaurant was terrible. We sat and waited for good 15 min when I tried to get an attention of a server but was ignored. Looking at the menu, there weren't too many things we would've enjoyed because a lot of deep fried foods which we don't eat.
So we got up and left. No one even noticed nor cared.
The food was good and the service is what needs help. They are short staffed so there are long waits . If you go you have to go with a large group of 5 or more like we did . We were a group of 6.
Excellent restaurant with amazingly delicious food. Great service!!
service was one of the worst i have ever experience
food was cold and greasy nasty
We were visiting San Juan and the restaurant came highly recommended by a friend. Wow! Great food! Ribs were amazing! Too much food. Can’t wait to come back!
The food was amazing. The empanada app. The chuleta can can. The rice manposteado was my favorite. Delicious food. Good service. I would definitely recommend
Loved this restaurant! The food was finger-licking good!!! The server was very nice and attentive.
While the food was a good, the ambience and service were atrocious. We waited almost an hour for our food while the restaurant was almost empty, without being visited by our server. We came on the recommendation of a friend, but I would never return.
Great place to go to with my wife and my 4 kids ages 9 thru 15! The kids (and parents!) loved the way the food was served- awesome presentation!
The music was fun and lively. The servers were ok. Friendly but not attentive. The food was ok. We had much better foods in old san juan that was slight cheaper. It was conveniently near our hotel, no more than a 5 min walk. if you walk towards the back of the hotel and up the stairs, it should be to your right.
We were in San Juan for a cruise port and my friend recommended this place is was awesome very friendly and clean and the food was great !!!
Not enough servers, long wait with plenty tables open. Very slow to prep food. And it was fine, but not worth eating again.
Basic Tourist Trap. There are better restaurants in the area.
Most of the food was great however the chicken breast was chewy. Service was great polite and friendly but scarce at times.
Super salty food, one hour wait and horrible service. They just forgot about us.
The churrasco dishes were pretty good but needed a little extra seasoning. We were expecting a little more of the "modern takes" on traditional Puerto Rican dishes but didn't quite see that on the menu. By the way, dress code is casual, not business casual as shown on the description.
The quality/price ratio was incredible. The amount of food for 2 was overwhelming (we couldn't eat it all). The meat was fairly tender, cooked just as asked (medium-rare), and the wine list was very well priced. will come back with a much bigger appetite next time!
Our second visit, one the best mofongo in old San Juan.
