What a lovely restuarant, a fabulous respite from the ubiquitous ‘speciality burger joints’ and Cafe’s.

My husband and I enjoyed the dinner and were very impressed with the quality of the meal. We were a little unsure of how to order and how the restaurant worked but the wait staff were very helpful. It is quite expensive but for a special occasion- why not?

We had a lovely lunch - enjoying the water views with good company, wonderful food and wine - and very good service. We thoroughly enjoyed.

Everything about our dining experience was fabulous & I would highly recommend the restaurant as a must do when visiting Merimbula.

Booked for lunch and could of stayed till dinner ! Ridiculously beautiful room, view, size and lighting are perfect for the space. Good short drinks list with something for everyone. Food menu is small but well planned and executed for the season and sharing. Service was relaxed and professional.

Went here for our anniversary dinner. Food quality and quantity was excellent but menu was a little limited, only choice for mains was steak, fish or vegetarian. The service was very friendly, attentive and reasonably quick. Wine choice was ample and appropriate for the menu. Prices are a little bit on the high side but acceptable for the quality of food provided.

Delicious food and great service. Beautifully decorated and water views are also beautiful. Unfortunately we found it to be a ‘noisy’ restaurant and so conversation was strained. This meant that the music was also a bit loud - it added to the problem - and would cause me to think twice about going back.
Otherwise an excellent dining. experience.

Magnificent food, stunning views and wonderful ambience made for a very special lunch for our party of 5. Something new and vibrant for Merimbula and we will definitely return.

We arrived at 8pm for our reservation and was asked to sit and wait for our tables to be cleared. Meanwhile 3 other couples arrived after us and obviously known by the staff and were sat down immediately.we waited 20mins and we’re about to leave when we were given a table. The food was ok but expensive. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive.

We could not recommend Valentina more highly. The food was excellent, the service was knowledgeable and friendly and attentive - music was awesome too! And then there is the view - all perfect! We will be back.

Valentina was ok. Was it worth the money? Yeah probably not. But it was an experience.
1. Music was loud. My partner was sitting next to me and had trouble hearing me when we were talking.
2. The music got louder when we had just finished our mains, it’s almost as if to usher us out.
3. No non alcoholic drink menu.
4. It’s Tapas style which was not clear upon booking.
5. Needs clearer signage for entry and toilets.
6. Toilet door left open and clearly visible from the dining area.
7. Main fish course was very soggy, almost like it was frozen rather than fresh from the area.

Everything was presented beautifully and was all absolutely delicious. We ordered 7 dishes and 2 sides. The service was friendly and informative. We will be back.

Delicious and well prepared, the offerings at Valentina make you want to order everything ! Casual but sophisticated is exactly what the South Coast needed.

A really thoughtful renovation of a room perched above Merimbula’s lake. Comfy banquettes add a nice touch to the classy fit-out. Young, enthusiastic staff create a real buzz and the food is not over complicated or trying too hard. Background music can be a little overbearing and this is not the place for you if you want a big lump of steak and a bucket of chips.

Innovative food where the natural flavours are enhanced with a variety of ingredients. Service was prompt and friendly without being intrusive. Overall a wonderful night and I would highly recommend Valentina to anyone travelling to Merimbula.

Fabulous food, fabulous outlook, fabulous staff

I visited Valentina with 7 friends and we had a seafood set menu. All of our dietary requirements were met by subbing out one dish for another (even more delicious) dish. All the food was so delicious. It ended up being too much food so they packed our left overs for us to take home. They also were very helpful with the wine selection. Cannot wait to eat here again.

The food, while not cheap, had amazing flavours. We did share plates and the staff were great in guiding how much we might need. Great service.

Food is indeed excellent. Ambience is good but please turn down the music! (Which seems to be a recurring issue at this place. Don't they read the reviews???) Service was above average but they maybe could have done with one more on the floor. I do NOT like having the bottle of wine I ordered "left over there" and then have to get someone's eye when I need a refill. Was the same with the water. It's not cheap and the meals aren't enormous (good) but the food is well presented and IS delicious.

Great new restaurant with amazing views and well crafted food. Some more variety in the available wines price range would be appreciated but our dinner was otherwise perfect.
