I made our reservation a month in advance. When we arrived we were kept waiting for 15 mins and then seated outside despite me requesting an indoor table. The restaurant was extremely under-staffed despite it being the Xmas lights switch on at Sloane square which is always exceptionally busy.

We were three guests. Probably the oldest there and we had a great time. Our server was just wonderful. The food was really good and we will definitely be back. It is noisy so if you have a problem with energetic noise, that could be a problem.

The menu was not very interesting and the flavours were not that interesting either. Quite bland. All fine and edible and nicely presented and the staff were lovely. The loos were shockingly bad. I’m always horrified when loos in restaurants are not clean and orderly, it doesn’t bode well for the standards in the kitchen and elsewhere.

Excellent service. Lovely engaging waitress. We were eating quickly before going to the the theatre & were not sure about what to order due to time constraints. This place has really gone downhill - the second bad experience we’ve had. Service is slow and just bad - our mains came out while we were finishing our starters, one was cold so had to send it back, no cutlery on the table so had to reach over to the one next to us to take from there, ordered the bill and it took 20 min to come, only after we asked for it again. Prices are high, food is fine, service is friendly but extremely below standard.

Used to love this place but went there yesterday and was very disappointed. The menu has changed and it’s not nearly as good. The food arrived so fast it must have been pre prepared. The focaccia was burnt and had a strange taste. I won’t be returning

Service was extremely slow and disorganised - there seemed to be a lot of people randomly cleaning tables but hardly anyone getting customers seated, taking orders and checking in on the meal. On the bright side, staff showed such little interest in getting us our bill, we didn’t feel rushed to vacate the table….

Overall the whole experience was excellent having never dined at Vargo before. The service was of particular note, though it was early evening on a Sunday, as we have become used to less good service over the last few years. It was excellent and all staff were both aware of their customers, helpful and timely.
