The best opening in Chelsea for a long long time. Excellent food and coffee and friendly staff.
The service was EXCELLENT and the food delicious! So happy this has opened in Chelsea!
Very nice place, nice decoration and nice food. A lot of choice in the menu ! Noise level is perfect
However the price is expensive for the quantity of food you have but I guess you pay for the location
Really lovely evening. Enjoyed every aspect. Thank you to Josh for his pleasant and friendly manner.
All good, great food and ambience. Lovely service from our waiter
Really impressed. Delicious food and friendly and very attentive waiter.
The place and staff are lovely. The menu includes a broad range of global flavours but just didn’t deliver the anticipated punch.
Fabulous addition to Duke of York's Square. Staff could not have been more helpful or attentive and the food was delicious!
First visit !! So enjoyed & so well needed in that are .
Fantastic space , amazing food & friendly great service .
Please stay that good !
Well Done !
Vardo is a fun, lively restaurant, great for people watching and delicious food.
Service very scattered. It seemed like they saw customers more as a necessary evil. Staff also gave a very scruffy impression like they came from the gym without having showered or changed first. Left before I ate.
The menu was great and the service was quick and very attentive, really enjoyed going there for brunch
Vardo recently opened in Duke of York Square in Chelsea. I stopped by first for a coffee, then had Sunday brunch a few days later with my wife and daughter. The location in the heart of Chelsea is brilliant. The ambience inside Vardo is also very cool – the fact that the building is round and glassed offers diners a birds-eye view of King’s Road. The music is chill, and the lighting is lovely. Overall, the ambience is relaxed and casual. The staff is super-friendly, too. The menu is diverse and offers a great mix of healthy alternatives, whether your interest is fresh-squeezed juices or low-carb or low-fat food. The pricing offers fair value, with most mains on the menu in the range of £12-18. We went to Sunday brunch which had a slightly different menu, but we all thought that the food was excellent. My daughter and wife both had poached eggs and smashed avocado on toast, and I had salmon with brown rice in a bowl that included ginger and avocado. All of our dishes were excellent. The coffee is also rich and delicious. According to the person that served me, Vardo is part of a six-restaurant UK group that sources its own coffee from various places (like Ethiopia) for its group of restaurants. Lastly, above Vardo is a garden-and-bench area that is accessed via steps located outside towards the back of the building. There is no food or bar in this roof garden, but instead it offers an area to relax and enjoy the action on the King’s Road. It is open to the public and is not affiliated with Vardo.
Best brunch I’ve had this year. And excellent service too.
A very lovely place to meet up for a family get together brunch. The ambience was perfect and all the staff were very friendly and provided excellent service.
Beautiful space and good atmosphere
Food is complex, fussy and not very well co-ordinated. The fusion of food ended with my mother being ill. Staff very helpful and the lucky wheel at the end a fun way to finish the evening
Overall, there is lots to choose from an eclectic menu. All dishes ordered were well prepared and presented and full of taste and texture. A large number of vegetarian options. The pizza was outstanding, as was the corn bread and fried tofu. Dessert was less satisfying - we ordered the lemon curd tart which was too 'eggy' and way too firm; the accompanying creme fraiche had a strong and unpleasant taste and was stodgy rather than being light. So, work to do on the desserts. I'll definitely come back though because Vardo offers tastes and menu choices that really are quite unique for London.
Architect should reimburse his fee. Doors don't close properly so it is like eating in a fridge. Food is OK service a bit patchy.
Lovely staff and a great menu, with the perfect atmosphere! A very good choice for dinner, especially considering the lack of other good options in the area.
Wonderful atmosphere. Great views of the KR. Staff excellent. Food very enjoyable.
We had waited for the opening for sometime but It was worth it , the staff were friendly and the atmosphere great, seating very comfortable. Well done
Everything I love about Caravan and so much more (in a good, different way.)
A bit like an older, more refined sister, this is a restaurant and it certainly feels like it. The West London vibes are very hard to miss, as is the amazing food. All served when ready, I'd highly recommend the jerusalem arthichokes, kasuri squash, the steamed ndjua mussels and the chocolate tart. There non-alcoholic drink (the last one on the menu - can't remember the name!) was very sophisticated and rivalled its alcoholic counterparts in appearance.
Service was warm and friendly.
Well worth the wait! A beautiful setting in the heart of Chelsea serving the best pizza and a range of healthy options too.
Excellent slightly ecclectic (middle Eastern but also Thai influenced) food and very nice relaxed but at the same time very efficient service. Had read a lot also about the building. However, I thought the building is not ideal, at least not on a cold autumn evening. Very good value.
What a beautiful dining experience. We so loved people watching The Kings Road from our glass-side table. The room is understated, glamorous and modern. All the waiters were super cool and helpful and the food is fantastic - innovative, fresh, delicious. We ate the croquettas, and gyoza, then a grain bowl wth watermelon salad, followed by an olive oil soft scoop. All SOOO good. Thank you Vardo.
We recommended Vardo to all our friends including designers and architects !
We loved it and will be back for sure!
Thanks to Max for the lovely and friendly service!
See you next time!

The food is a mishmash of ingredients that don't suits each other.
it's un eatable.
Great place for meeting with friends and their spinning wheel is really a fun way of finishing your meal!
Will most definitely be back - have already booked!
The food was exceptional with service to match. Look forward to returning to this new restaurant in Chelsea.
My first visit and I loved it! Amazing front of house customer service. Delicious food as expected. Loved the music in the background and the interior . I will definitely be back and bring some friends eho I know will enjoy the experience as much as I did.
Loved it! Such a variety on the menu and great staff!
Great place for brunch, very chic decor and great location but one of our dishes was forgotten and turned up late without an apology from the staff. Good thing that it was worth that wait!
Although we didn’t get off to a great start due to an incredibly rude member of staff, our whole experience was the first of many more to come. We were looked after by extremely kind and attentive staff and chatted to the manager who apologized for the initial contact. The food was nothing short of delicious and presented in an understated, yet visually exciting way. The Sunday vibe was supported by the bustling farmers market going on around us. An absolute must for any foodie looking for a fresh concept. Thank you Vardo for turning it all around!
Delicious food, relaxed and attentive service. Coffee to die for! Great atmosphere.
Will go back, often!
I booked Vardo, on it's third day of opening, for a birthday meal for a friend, mainly because I liked the building. I love round buildings! We sat in one of the cosy booth tables and were charmingly attended by the lovely, friendly and professional staff. The food was delicious. I had the spiced dahl, pea and broad bean fritters with sides of fries and chard. The combination of flavours and textures was perfect for me. I've actually thought about it since, with longing. Other guests had the sea bass and pork and were similarly pleased with their choices, especially the sea bass which was incredibly succulent. The atmosphere is smart casual with a hint of glamour, with one of my guests commenting that this is the sort of place one might expect to see Boris with his latest squeeze! In spite of that, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it ; )
Good points. Pretty restaurant. Nice lighting. INteresting architecture. Dramatic and creative dishes
Medium points. Food whilst creative and artistic not always yummy and delicious. More what you would call interesting. Service lacked sparkle. More the kind of attitude you would get from staff at a big chain restaurant like Pizza Express rather than more gastro.
Bad points. They do not offer Diet Coke or Coke zero or any proper diet drinks. Just Karma Cola which is just really really, in my opinion, a bad bad choice for a restaurant to make. I'm all for fairtrade but its not fair on the consumer to exclude the options. Karma Cola might be a "drink" and it might even be a "Cola" but it is not Coca-Cola. We asked the waitress why this was and she said she would find out why Vardo chose to exclude the Real Thing. The answer that she delivered a few minutes later was that Vardo wanted to support Sierra Leone. Wonderful that Karma Cola gives 3p for every bottle purchased to Sierra Leone farmers but I would rather donate 6p for every bottle of diet coke that I purchase and be able to enjoy a drink in perfect harmony with my meal. Vardo, why not do this? Or at least warn people when they book their table that they will not be getting the same choice of soft drinks that 99 percent of the other restaurants around the world offer. I would have given Vardo a four star rating had diet coke been on offer!
Super cool venue, great food and drink, friendly capable staff and nice relaxed atmosphere
Excellent food and ok service for first week of trading!
Excellent service, very beautiful setting, friendly environment and great food. I was particularly impressed with the way the staff handled my allergy, very reassuring and extremely professional. I have already recommended the restaurant to many of my friends.
