Three of us went for a pre-theatre dinner before going to the Royal Court. It was our first visit and on entering we were impressed with the style and decor of the restaurant. We enjoyed excellent food, wine and service.
The food was delicious, the service fast and friendly, and the atmosphere buzzing. Really highly recommended.
Lovely tasty food, great friendly service. I will definitely be back when I am next in London.
As fans of Caravan's food we were very excited to try their new restaurant, Vardo on Kings Road. It didn't disappoint with familiar flavoursome options like cornbread and chipotle butter, delicious pizzas and lots of great combinations of flavours and textures. Service was friendly and helpful. We thought the cocktails weren't quite up to the standard of the food but we loved the decor and ambiance of the new space.
Limited menu and my food was lukewarm, but the service was outstanding. Would dine again
Great brunch at Vardo. Lovely ambience for a friend get together and delicious food! Thank you.
As always, food is very good. Service has been very haphazard each time.
Delicious restaurant and lovely staff- highly recommend to anyone!
Very nice addition. I asked to sit by the windows. Food good. Service a bit slow.
The menu is limited . The whole experience did not meet my expectation . The food quality was brasserie standard
Loved everything about this restaurant food, service and atmosphere! will return and recommend
Your staff are wonderful! Thank you
First time I'd been to Vardo after after regularly going to Caravan restaurants. Slightly more sophisticated atmosphere, but with the same level of service of quality of food that I've come to love and expect. The staff were friendly, engaged, but did not overwhelm. Everything we ate was delish, I cannot recommend enough the lamb shoulder dish!
Always good! Portions are okay not too big not too small. Cocktails were spot on. Can't complain. Easy booking system.
First time at Vardo and had a fantastic time. Great food was only topped with brilliant service.
Good place to go for brunch if you are taking your toddlers, pushchair and you enjoy noticeable presence of young children. Not that great for couples expecting a nice quiet quality brunch on weekends.
I continue to visit this place every time friends come to see me
Food is outstanding, whether you come for brunch, light lunch or dinner
Lovely staff, very helpful and friendly. Dishes are good size, lovely for sharing. Taste is outstanding and suprisingly different and I am a picky eater (Ottolenghi fan). Thanks to our waitress we tried the jerusalem artichokes, deep fried with skin on, a clever way to prepare them. One minus, I felt there was a lot of noise but that's also to do with the size of the restaurant that was fully booked.
Great atmopshere, perfect location, delicious food excellent service including the non stop flow of white wine
Such a lovely evening at Vardo. Delicious menu served by excellent, intelligent staff in an attractive and warm atmosphere. Liked it so much I went back for lunch the next day.
Food innovative and excellent. Greeting staff grumpy and unhelpful but serving staff charming.
Not quite there yet - needs improvement. Was expecting more from caravan and especially in such a prime location!
Innovative menu. Exciting choices for brunch. Great Bloody Mary. Will definitely go back soon!
Some of the worst service ive ever experie ced. And charged £5 for a side of chorizo when it said £1.50 on the menu.
Hey Alexandra, Thanks for taking the time to review! As mentioned in my reply via another social platform, unsure where the Chorizo confusion came from as defs states £5 on the menu. Apologies for however this misunderstanding occurred. Would love to chat about your comments re:service more - drop me a line via firstname.lastname@example.org so we can discuss in more detail. Thank you! Greg
I went to Vardo to celebrate my birthday with 5 friends and thought it was absolutely fantastic. The staff were excellent, the food was delicious and had a wide variety of options that suited everyone. Overall It was very good value for money and the ambience of the restaurant made it a really lovely atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Vardo to my friends in the future. Thank you for making my birthday so special!
Great food and service in a lovely space. We thoroughly enjoyed being there.
Lovely staff, fab food, location great so a very nice experience overall - we’ll be back! 😊
Superb dinning experience
Everything was perfect from beginning to end. Top notch. Dumplings are best that I've ever eaten, Jerusalem artichokes taste amazing, the steamed mussels I could have everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I am a chocolate person, but the olive oil ice cream is to die for.
Can't wait to go there again.
The service and ambiance were really nice. The food was ok but the menu and dishes need some adjustments: too complicated.
Great food and great service everytime . I recommend brunch
Very good food. Nice atmosphere. Excellent location. The only think that should be improved is espresso, has sour test.
The food was delicious and original, and the service was truly great! There was a slight problem with our order so we were given a complimentary starter, which was extremely thoughtful of them.
Great first visit to Vardo. Lovely vibe to the restaurant. Wonderful service throughout the night. The food was great, particularly the croquettes and the spiced Dahl. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Amazing food, great service and gorgeous interiors! Will definitely be back!
What a great meal! such a beautiful restaurant. I’ll definitely be back!
It is early days for Vardo and they have done a great job today. It is a great well thought out fusion menu.
The food is very well prepared and presented, and it is delicious.
The location and design of the restaurant is fantastic. It provides a great atmosphere both at the bar and on tables.
Soothing acoustic, despite being packed, how lovely not to have to shout or wince at the sound in a packed restaurant. Soft lighting, lovely shapes, extremely comfortable ambience all round, right down to the crockery and glassware. Ingenious menu made to the highest standard. Service was attentive and discretely beguiling. Loved it. Took leftovers home in a swiftly provided takeout box. Still delicious the next day. Will be back with friends and family. Congrats and thank you for a wonderful evening. Give me all your recipes.
Lovely food and lovely setting, helpful and friendly staff. Was nice for a meal and chat with a friend
This new spot within the Duke of York square was a pleasant and welcome surprise. The pizza was one of the best I have tried and the food options are different to most restaurants down the King's road. Not the cheapest but you can expect it for the area however, given the quality of the food it is well worth it. The only thing I would say was the service was slightly slow...but the staff were very pleasant and friendly.
Great with friends or family
Pizza to die for!
Like the brunch menu on the weekend less but that is a personal taste
