Vasco & Piero's Pavilion Restaurant
Vasco was born in Umbria and as a result of this many foods are sourced direct from farmers in this region. Particular favourites are truffles, wild mushrooms, seasoned cheeses and cured meats such as lombetto and capocollo.
We only use the best quality extra virgin olive oil mainly from Umbria, Central Italy.
Many of our hams & salames such as Lombetto (a cured loin of pork) are imported from local Umbrian farms.
When in season, we import black & white truffles from hunters around the hills of Umbria.
Our balsamic vinegar is from Modena. We use Maldon sea salt with pure flaky crystals.

Booked for a late lunch with friends - restaurant was full when we arrived, other than our table, so a nice ambiance. The table are close together, but TBH it was no problem. We were in no rush, so relaxed service was ideal. enjoyed an aperitif whilst we perused the menu. Think between us we tried most things on the menu with the sausages and ravioli getting rave reviews. £420 for four of us 2 1/2 courses + coffee and wine seemed a good deal for the food and experience we had. Not in London that often, but this is a place I'll return to. Thanks for a great meal.
Excellent Italian dishes served well
What a wonderful restaurant, the food was out of this world, the service was fantastic an overall incredible dining experience, will without a doubt will be back!
Glad to have found this excellent restaurant just off Oxford Street. Warmly greeted by the owner, great ambience and delicious food. Recommend the pear, walnut, mozzarella & endive starter, and the calves liver alone is worth a return visit. Relaxed atmosphere, unhurried but attentive service, couldn't fault a thing.
A very welcoming restaurant with a varied menu, knowledgeable staff & nice ambience. We would have preferred to see a more varied geographical spread, even in Italy, in the wine list.
Really enjoyed it - very good quality food, and good service..
It was our first time at Vasco and Piero but certainly not the last. The pasta are simply to die for. We have never experienced better and we have been to many italian restaurants, in Italy and elsewhere. Perfect, great service and atmosphere.
We only had time for a pasta before going to a jazz club but the food was really delicious.
We went to Vasco and Piero's to celebrate our daughter's PhD gradation. From the moment we arrived we were given the most friendly welcome. The service was attentive without being pressurising, and the food was varied and delicious, with authentic ingredients such as the white truffles flown in from Italy that morning. It's hard to say which main course dish was best, possibly the tuna. We don't normally eat desserts but we could not resist the dessert menu - the flavour and texture of the pannatone bread and butter pudding was particularly good.
I have come here a number of times now and the food is superb.
However I have marked it down slightly as I talked up the poached plum and ice cream dessert to my guests, which was previously presented in a large glass ice cream holder (knickerbockerglory style) and this time the portion was dramatically reduced to a tiny scoop of ice cream and tiny amount of plums. Please go back to the way it was!!!
The owner was extremely friendly. My friend and I had an enjoyable conversation with him and the waiters.
The food was outstanding.
White truffle tagliatelle delicous!
Friendly,confident, professional team
I will return!
Excellent fresh food simply cooked. Always a pleasure.
I have been a patron of Vasco’s for 30 years, and it is one of the few places wher I am comfortable eating alone. Also with friends and family.
Friendly helpful staff, delicious food and comfortable seating.
Best of all there is no music! what is the point?
Excellent as always. A really good meeting place for friends and colleagues just behind Oxford St. Impeccable service and food. Good wine list with some very interesting and unusual choices.
Booked based on reviews and it was better than expected! Quaint with personable service and great food - desserts were awesome too!!!
Pre theatre meal - staff were lovely and food was great
This is an absolute delight. Very tucked away despite being in soho. Almost hesitate to rate it too highly in case it becomes too well known and popular but go. You will not be disappointed.
Lovely ambience about this place. Service is excellent and so is the food. So pleased to have found this place.
This is a lovely Italian restaurant with beautifully cooked food. We received a warm welcome and the service was excellent throughout. At no time did we feel rushed and the restaurant was full even on a Wednesday evening. The menu was well balanced and the food was really delicious and perfectly cooked. We drank a reasonably priced bottle of wine which our waiter informed us had come from his village in Italy. Not cheap although good value - our meal was around £125 for two courses, wine and coffee for two people. Will definitely return.
Excellent Italian food - especially delicious homemade pasta. Good for occasional celeb spotting too.
Wonderful real Italian food in a relaxed and welcoming restaurant.
We had a lovely meal. Food and service was amazing and we’ll definitely go back. Small intimate family style restaurant in Soho. We were given a free additional starter that was amazing. We’ll definitely go back
Went there for dinner. Although the place is quite small and congested but it's cosy and the food and service is worth all the congestion :)
Tried their Burrata - very creamy and delicious.
For mains, I went for gnocchi with veggies, was not in menu but was accommodated as I am a vegetarian. Tiramisu for dessert is highly recommended.
I have to say the food was delicious but slightly heavy, so worth watching out for the portions.
Star points for the service, staff is very friendly and accommodating.
It was Friday night and very busy and noisy - TWO birthday parties. Food and service exemplary . Eventually it quietened down - no one was pressuring us to leave. I love this place.must go mre often.
I’ve been coming her for many years and the food never fails to be anything other than superlative. Simple ingredients but beautifully cooked
This is definitely my favourite restaurant in London, whether for family meals, business dinners with close colleagues, one to ones with my girlfriends. It is authentically Italian, the service is my favourite kind - courteous, fun, impeccable and efficient, not too much.
Vasco still delivers the finest foods. The truffles this year are superb.
Great place, really welcoming friendly service! Outstanding food and my mum was made to feel very special on her birthday. We’ll definitely be back. Beautiful, traditional and authentic Italian food
Our first visit and will certainly be back; soon we hope ! Such a genuinely friendly team and sublime dinner; thanks !
Excellent service, everything very good, had a most enjoyable dinner on 23 October.
Pleasant lunch - food is generally pretty good but we waited quite a while before being served which is a bit annoying. Also, although it was already 1pm and therefore the middle of lunch service, they were taking deliveries of bottles which meant a guy kept coming past me with crates of mineral water. I'd have expected them to do deliveries outside service hours.
I'm a regular at Vasco & Piero's and it never disappoints. The staff are lovely and friendly and the food is excellent. I had the best gnocchi and best salted caramel ice cream I have ever had! Everything tastes super fresh and home made and I will continue to go back again and again.
Maybe an OK italian for tourist. Not a gem, not for deep food lovers. The tuna carpaccio was a 7; the sardines were OK; the tuna steak average; the linguine with sword fish, probably the best dish we have had that night. All in all the food is average. There is no really italian ambiance neither a real italian menu. We tried. We won’t go back.
Not an easy to spot restaurant, but what a lovely find! Had dinner with a friend on a Friday night. We had booked, and thank God we did as it was super busy. I had requested that only specific ingredients be used as I am on a very limited diet, and the kitchen was very happy to adhere to my request. I had a fish dish that I was very happy with, and we also stayed for tea after.
The service was exemplary, and the atmosphere pleasant, though the only downside was that the tables were very close to each other.
I would definitely visit again as the quality of the food was fantastic, and the location is fabulous for experiencing the buzz of central London.
Outstanding food and service. We loved it. It was my husband's birthday and we both loved it.
The Pavilion has always been lovely to visit. There are always specials and when the chef wonders into the restaurant with something that's just come out of the oven and asks if you would like it, you know you have landed in a homely restaurant that's actually pretty high end too. Wonderful people, friendly and inviting. We've already re-booked.
A most pleasant experience, definitely will repeat on next visit
Very good Italian food, very good service and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Good standard Italian food. Efficient service with a casual lively atmosphere. Value for money in central London
