Vasco & Piero's Pavilion Restaurant
Vasco was born in Umbria and as a result of this many foods are sourced direct from farmers in this region. Particular favourites are truffles, wild mushrooms, seasoned cheeses and cured meats such as lombetto and capocollo.
We only use the best quality extra virgin olive oil mainly from Umbria, Central Italy.
Many of our hams & salames such as Lombetto (a cured loin of pork) are imported from local Umbrian farms.
When in season, we import black & white truffles from hunters around the hills of Umbria.
Our balsamic vinegar is from Modena. We use Maldon sea salt with pure flaky crystals.
Lunch: Monday - Friday: 12:15pm - 3:00pm
Dinner: Monday - Saturday: 5:30pm - 10:30pm
Maybe an OK italian for tourist. Not a gem, not for deep food lovers. The tuna carpaccio was a 7; the sardines were OK; the tuna steak average; the linguine with sword fish, probably the best dish we have had that night. All in all the food is average. There is no really italian ambiance neither a real italian menu. We tried. We won’t go back.
Not an easy to spot restaurant, but what a lovely find! Had dinner with a friend on a Friday night. We had booked, and thank God we did as it was super busy. I had requested that only specific ingredients be used as I am on a very limited diet, and the kitchen was very happy to adhere to my request. I had a fish dish that I was very happy with, and we also stayed for tea after.
The service was exemplary, and the atmosphere pleasant, though the only downside was that the tables were very close to each other.
I would definitely visit again as the quality of the food was fantastic, and the location is fabulous for experiencing the buzz of central London.
Outstanding food and service. We loved it. It was my husband's birthday and we both loved it.
The Pavilion has always been lovely to visit. There are always specials and when the chef wonders into the restaurant with something that's just come out of the oven and asks if you would like it, you know you have landed in a homely restaurant that's actually pretty high end too. Wonderful people, friendly and inviting. We've already re-booked.
A most pleasant experience, definitely will repeat on next visit
Very good Italian food, very good service and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Good standard Italian food. Efficient service with a casual lively atmosphere. Value for money in central London
Glad i arrived for 12.30 lunch. Got v busy after 1.00 but service was excellent and food as good as usual.
Excellent evening, prompt and attentive service and splendid food. It is very clear how much time and effort this lovely restaurant spends on its menu, which changes twice daily and obviously benefits from the freshest ingredients. Will definitely return. Great location just a block from Oxford Street too.
A really good choice for a special family get together. We all enjoyed our menu choices, beautifully prepared and presented, very good service and friendly ambience.
Can't beat this family-owned authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of London
Delicious food, attentive staff and reasonable prices are a terrific combination
A little disappointing that the place was mostly empty given its wonderful location
The food was decent but not good enough to warrant a second visit. Although the decor is pleasant, the space is small and cramped and it gets very hot in there. I was looking forward to amazing pasta but it was very average.
Wonderful food. Unique style. Lots of great flavours. Wish I’d come here 20 years ago
excellent food, service. i love this restaurant always consistant
Perfect! Exactly what we were looking for. Good honest food, loving cooked and personal attentive service, yet relaxed enough to let us go at our own pace.
We will be back and have already recommended to friends
Fabulousl evening celebrating our wedding anniversary, Paul and all the staff were super . Food top notch
Returning very soon
Fantastic food, service and overall experience. The chef sent us a sample appetizer pro bono and explained how all the food was prepared. Great restaurant :)
Highly recommended. Our waiter Salvatore was great & we really enjoyed the food as well as an excellent bottle of wine.
Took my mum out for dinner before the theatre and we had a lovely time. he service was friendly and food arrived quickly and was lovely and fresh. The avocados in the tomato avocado salad were perfectly ripe and the sea bass was super delicious.
The only niggle i had was that it is extremely cramped in the restaurant with the table next door being practically on your lap. Its obviously very popular but an extra inch or 2 would be perfect between tables. Would recommend to everyone and will probably return to try other dishes.
Excellent venue for pre or post dining, a real gem for good food and great service.
very nice small restaurant. The food is very good but the service is missing could not get their attention... so if you have time this is a highly recommend restaurant.
We went post theatre to celebrate birthdays.
Wine list extensive but expensive however the house wine was delicious and reasonably priced.
The menu was fabulous and we were given a complementary starter to enjoy whilst pondering our order.
Service was friendly and prifessional.
Hygiene and cleanliness was excellent.
The food was fabulous and we won’t hesitate to return.
We spent just under £50per head (which included service).
We have been here a few times before and it never fails to please. A very friendly family run restaurant.
Ideal for a special occasion.
Excellent food and service.
A real family run truly authentic Italian restaurant. Rapidly becoming my favourite restaurant in London!
Great food, friendly service and a great ambience. Will definitely recommend to friends.
Great restaurant. Love it! Just wish they would get the bill right! Twice in a row it has been wrong! Quickly corrected thought but should not happen!
Superb food, wine and service as always. We took friends with us who have not visited Vasco & Piero’s before and - just like everyone we introduce to the restaurant - they’ll be back!
Small intimate restaurant. Passionate about what they cook, simple menu with outstanding quality freshness. Waitress was accomodating to small changes to our dishes and just generally great service. Drinks took a while but were good cocktails when they came. Definitely go again if I wanted to impress some real foodies.
Vasco & Piero's was as good as ever. The food and the wine are excellent, albeit the wine tends to be a little pricey. Consistency is the reason its one of my go tos.
Simple and excellent Italian food served in a delicate although fairly neutral environment. Service is impeccable, quiet and kind. Each dish was carefully prepared and extremely flavorful. A Soho gem. I remember having a set menu that I couldn't find this time, it's not the least expensive place but you cannot go wrong on the quality of the preparations.
A good evening with friends, lovely meal and excellent service. Not cheap but worth every penny.
We were seated on arrival at the time booked, spacious and comfortable.
Amongst the dishes tried were bruschetta, pasta and sausages all of which were splendid.
Gorgeous cheese board and an afogatto to finish with fine wines along the way.
We left vowing to return.
A genuinely authentic Italian restaurant with exceptionally interesting dishes.
It proves how there is no substitution for experience.
Have been to this restaurant several times and it is always fun and the food amazing. My husband comes for the liver which he thinks is the best he’s ever eaten! Looking forward to the next time already.
Excellent food, ambience and service. The hand made pasta was very special and we both thoroughly enjoyed that.
Highly recommended to anyone who likes Umbrian food.
Our experience was amazing on Saturday evening.
Staff really friendly & we weren’t rushed at all.
The complimentary Bruchetta was lovely.
The food was to die for!
Can’t wait to go back!!
The food was excellent, service too. A little expensive for drinks etc, but this is Soho.
An immediate welcome at the door, then a menu and wine list that combined the talent of being concise and containing creative combinations to delight the diner.
It was silent in the restaurant so not a good vibe. The pasta was very average (we had 3 pasta dishes between us and they were all so so). The wine was very nice and the service good. I wouldn't go back.
