The service was great Shantell was the server. Her attention was great, she makes you feel welcome. On the other hand menu I feel like it was limited, need to update the menu and add other choices of mains. I ordered the Versa Nachos, that was too salty but I ate because I was hungry. Then I ordered the Applewood bacon cheddar burger, that was way too salty, I took two bites and became so thirsty couldn’t stop drinking water. I told Shantell about it and she calmly came and took the plate and asked me if I wanted to order something else, at that point I was fed up with the salty and didn’t feel like eating anymore. I did noticed a few other people with the same issue. I was given a discount because of what happened and I appreciated that. But it Looks like something should be addressed. Other than that It was really nice. The ambiance, the decor, the drinks were good too. They even offered a free desert because of what happened. I would recommend still, I might come back, hoping they fixed the salt problem.
Vivian our server was wonderful.
She was very lovely, extremely attentive providing great service.
Had a great breakfast. Great location.
VERSA was a perfect place for a dinner meeting. Located right by Penn and MSG.
Food was great, waitress was exceptional!
My grown son and I went for dinner before a game at Madison Square Garden. It was convenient, well priced, and overall someplace I would be happy to go back to. With a terrific rooftop outdoor space with good views, It is probably terrific and crowded in better weather.
We were both pleased with our dinners.
The restaurant is in a great location, very clean, open, and well decorated. The service was attentive, polite, and friendly. The food was ok with high prices. I ordered the Cobb salad, which had a dressing that was too sweet and bacon that was too hard to chew. My partners chicken sandwich was alright.
Overall this would be good for happy hour drinks or business gatherings with a nice view and spacious room but not a destination for food.
Came here for the first time. In great location. The rooftop area is great and would be fun in the summer. The decor is really nice and food good. Service should have been better.
As in past visits. Food was very good. Service is week. expensive for what we got. Noisy. Outdoor party required door open and it was 25 degrees
Food was average (sliders and chicken sandwich). Ambiance was my favorite part, high ceilings and greenery made for nice atmosphere.
Yes a hotel restaurant/sports bar that actually has very good service and food. Burgers, salads, apps and drinks were all delicious. Was perfect right before going over to Madison Square Garden. We were a party of 6 and everyone from the host stand to wait staff to other personnel were extremely fast, helpful and nice.
We had an early lunch. Service was very good, and we were able to seat at the quiet corner. Food was good, too. The area inside (near bar) was quiet enough, but the music in the open area was a loud.
Versa never disappoints. All menu items are excellent quality and taste, especially the burgers & flat breads. Also, the humus platter and pork/chive dumplings are delicious! My only complaint is I wish they offered happy hour drink and food specials.
I’ve been to Versa several times and have enjoyed every single time so I wanted to share the experience with a few of my friends. They enjoyed the drinks the food and the general atmosphere. I can’t wait until my next visit!
This seems like a better spot for happy hour than dinner. While the food was good it's very loud so was difficult to hold a conversation without practically yelling. At first the service was a little lacking as well, my cocktail was empty and despite bringing water/food I did not have a chance to ask for another, additionally our water was empty for quite a bit but after asking for a refill the staff was a lot more diligent about it.
Amazing food and service
Best part was the food. Chicken sandwich and calamari were to die for. Went on the early side so not too much of a bar crowd which was pleasant. This was the second time I went and will go back. Only complaint is the food is a little pricey but to be expected I guess in New York
Great happy hour, before concert venue or just dinner. Good food, great drinks and nice atmosphere. Would definitely return
Great space for a business meeting. Not loud. Prompt service. Overpriced just like everything in NY. Food was your basic “fancy flatbread” (pizza) and other bar food. Would definitely come here again though. They were very accommodating when I had a larger party than originally planned.
Great for business meals!
The welcome was not great, we wandered around until a staff member directed us to a table. The request of high top seating was ignored and had to be reiterated.
The food was excellent, and would come back for the food.
Whilst Versa is physically a ‘rooftop restaurant’ I think it’s stretching the definition of a NY rooftop restaurant when the hotel has 30+ floors and this was on floor 5 - it was most disappointing to find we did not have a view of the Manhattan skyline as a rooftop restaurant would have suggested.
Only if the service gets better. Took forever to order and/or get noticed and it wasn't busy in the slightest.
Very empty for a Saturday evening. We enjoyed our meals. Great decor and friendly staff.
We were very pleased with our meal, and dessert was amazing! Prices did things like burgers are a lot, but hey - it’s NYC, so that’s expected.
Only complaint was that we looked up the menu online prior to going, and the menu wasn’t the same...so we had our appetites set on meals we couldn’t order. Other than that, we loved everything.
We enjoyed a long, leisurely lunch in a comfortable surrounding with excellent food and a very attentive staff. Versa provided the perfect place to dine and spend time with friends. We were comfortable, not rushed and accommodated in every way.
The server wasn’t very efficient, she never once checked with us to ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. The food was very good but the drinks were watered down. My daughter got the sangria and she said it tasted like fruit juice, they were loaded with ice.
It is a versatile space with 2 indoor bars, restaurant area, and an outdoor patio. We moved between all 3 spaces. We were able to have great conversation as the more crowded bar was separated from the dining area. The food was great, arrived quickly. The bartender was short and seemed in a rush, overall seemed annoyed and our waitress was not very friendly.
We had two meals at Versa, breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was excellent in terms of both the food and the service. We had dinner that evening and the service was spotty at best, long waits between courses and one of our items never arrived. The dinner menu is ambitious but the execution of each individual item was lacking.
Weak inattentive service on the outside deck. I will not come back.
Fantastic atmosphere for watching the game! Great service from the bartender!!!
Birthday, pre-concert dinner for my wife. All was very good, service was outstanding, spoke to manager to give waiter our compliments ! Thanks for a great dining experience !
A very stylish and sleek atmosphere. Service is top notch but the food could be better.
Our only issue was the music was way to loud. Everything else was great, second time in a few months
Great lunch. Good atmosphere and space. Reasonably priced food.
My wife and three kids (11 and under) went to Versa for an early Saturday dinner. The staff was very accommodating to our needs (nothing special, just - you know - three kids). The room was nice - half the dining room is open air. The hosts and wait staff were friendly; the service was timely and accurate. Our meals were not so good. Our most satisfied customer was the 6 year old who order a grilled cheese and fries. Two kids pizzas were mushy and nuclear hot. I ordered a "Louisiana style" chicken sandwich. It was a decent amount of chicken bathed and fried in an UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF BATTER. Whatever was supposed to make it "Louisiana style" was not evident - unless they were referring to the wilted pickle chips that seemed more like an afterthought that anything. My wife ordered a kale salad that she enjoyed. Including beverages (a beer, a cocktail, and three kids' drinks), the $150 price tag for the affair was a little much notwithstanding the NYC zip code. I would have gotten a better quality meal at a lower cost at the food court across the street.
Overall, it was okay. It's a nice room and the staff was great but not everything on the menu is a winner.
Perfect place for an after show meal. Wait staff was attentive, food was good and not overly priced. Do like their no straw policy, but the My Boy Blue drink comes in a unique fish shaped carafe and it is difficult to drink out of it.
Really classy atmosphere! Prices were what you'd expect for New York City, and the food was good, though the portions could have been bigger. The service was excellent though. It was early in the morning so maybe this is why it wasn't, but I wish seating on the actual rooftop part had been set up. The bathrooms were clean, but the cleaning chemicals smelled really bad.
Very nice atmosphere, good appetizers, meals and drinks! The host Juliana was very welcoming!!
Had dinner with a friend. She and I had a great time. Drinks were good and food was good.
