Great vibes and food
The food is incredible, a completely authentic italian. Service was a little slow (very italian i should say!) but super accommodating of my huge party (9 of us) and recommended plates to share. Would definitely come back. I'm a proper italian foodie and can't believe i found this little gem!
A great Italian restaurant quite intimate which is nice for date night! Food was good nice selection. Very happy 😊
I was in food heaven- loved it !
Place was a bit draughty, but... fantastic food... excellent quality... almost faultless!
Authentic Italian food in a no-frill environment in the heart of Hoxton.
Excellent value for freshly made pasta
The pasta is lovely, very fresh and tasty. I would also recommend the cheese and bread.
Then place is tiny, 3 people was put on a small table usually for 2 people.
Very busy and loud, so many people in a small restaurant.
The waiters were lovely, but kept forgetting our drink orders, possibly because they were too busy.
Delicious, authentic food. Our large group had the set menu which went down very well. Service was great and they made us feel right at home.
The food was of good quality and the prices are not expensive. However, the service could have been better and it was way to noisy in the restaurant. I could barely hear my partner speaking.
Food is amazing. It is now our go to place for pasta! Definitely recommend
Good but loud, no music
Great local gem. It would be good if the menu was to change from time to time
Very enjoyable tasty simple food with good flavour. Relaxed friendly but at the same time efficient service. Room is a bit dark and spartan. Happy to go again.
Great pasta. But way too loud on Saturday evening. Like eating in a club. Go for the food not conversation.
Food was not as good as the previous time I have been. Also it would be good if they were to change the menu sometimes to time
If you like pasta with a difference, it's a great find. A limited menu, but they really care about their food and that you enjoy the eating experience. Lovely!
Really delicious food, good service and really great value. Looking forward to going back.
Only downside was the fact that we were right next to the door, which opens out on to the street. So every time it opened we got blown out of it with the wind. We asked if they could move us but they couldn't.
Best pasta in town! Very authentic Italian recipe. Def come back again :)
The handmade pasta is excellent, as is the fried bread. Our waiter was just the right degree of attentive and explained our choices very well.
Really amazing food and wine - a new favourite - have advised all my friends and family that this is a go to spot! Will be returning as this is happily in our neighbourhood!
Went to Via Emilia for a birthday celebration and it was lovely. Food was spot on, service was great and everything was reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.
I was there for my Birthday and we had a great time with my friends.
I highly recommend this lovely restaurant - the food was delicious and the staff very kind and friendly!
As usual superb food and service.
Stumbled upon this Hoxton Square restaurant and with no regrets. Hand made pastas and cheese from Emilia-Romagna region. Delicious.
Great experience booking and organising a menu for a party of 11 diners. Never had to wait long for help.
The food was delicious, small portions but the point is to share and try as many things as possible, we had the gnocco fritto (fried dough pillow) with a soft cheese to start and three pastas between two people. All of them were very good and the prices were not bad. All of that plus a beer was around £20pp. The only downsides were the seating, it's mainly stools which is not very comfortable, and the service was a bit overwhelming/overbearing. Even though I mentioned I had lived in the region the food was from, the waiter recited a memorised speech about the food to us, which was unnecessary. There was a bit too much talking from the waiter, it would be better if he asked if we had any questions, rather than recite things to us.
We had a wonderful meal at Via Emilia, and made the right decision in following the staff recommendations: some delicious dishes - and a great wine - that were new to us. The short menu demonstrates a commitment to executing a limited number of dishes really well, with the result that even the simplest plates were full of flavour and interest. Highly recommended.
It was great
The quality, preparation and presentation of the food is fantastic and genuine! Wine selection is excellent for the Lambrusco and the staff very friendly, informal to the right degree and professional.
Fantastic food and very high value for money. Just a little too loud due to the place being small with many tables but it is absolutely acceptable as it helps to keep the prices right! The only suggestion is maybe to book for a late table if you are planning a romantic night out so there will be less people or maybe try on a week day instead of week ends.
Excellent choice of Lambrusco and absolutely you must try the gnocchi fritti with squaquerone and proper Parma ham!
Wow this place is an amazing discovery of delicious beautiful food and incredible wine. Love the regionality of the menu - truely felt like we were in Emilia romagna in Italy. Lovely service - very friendly team. A joy.
Pasta Pasta or Pasta
Good for that but no other choices on the menu.
Authentic from a northern region of Italy but small sharing portions gives the place a certain style. Low stools instead of Chairs makes the experience a little rushed and uncomfortable.
Not for a romantic meal.
Delicious food. Very good value for money. Nice atmosphere ! WIll definitely come back!
Great little restaurant! Really simple menu of pasta and gnocchi but all done amazingly.
They were a bit swamped because it was valentines so the service wasn’t flawless but they said it was the busiest day since they opened - so it’s totally understandable, and they were really nice.
Really nice food from Emilia Romagna. The portions were generous and the lambrusco really good.
Non-cooked food such as cheese and a meat platter was great. One pasta dish was cold and the other one (tagliatelle al ragù) was distinctively average. What bothered us most, however, was the service. We were shown to a counter table upon arrival and when we expressed our discontent (as we had booked in advance), a waiter just said “it’s busy”. When we told the same guy about the cold pasta, he just said, “Really? No way!” He was friendly, but we just found him rather inexperienced. This place has a lot of potential and hope they will improve their service and quality of cooked food over time.
The fried bread appetizer is delicious
