Also Launching the real Gnocco Fritto in London, the typical gently-fried bread to enjoy with meat&cheese.
Offering just 40 covers, Via Emilia is intimate yet light and airy with its traditional white marble and dark stained wood. At 5 minutes walk from Old Street station and 10 from Liverpool Street
Amazing Starter, hams and cheese... pasta not as good.
Great food. Good service. It was very quiet but it was a Wednesday lunchtime
One of my favourite Italian restaurant in London. The best fresh and tasty pasta.
Great find, good food and attentive service. Tables a bit too close together, but given the relatively small restaurant understandable.
Three ladies of a certain age, found we only needed one pasta dish per person more than met our needs. Great value for money
Great pasta, reasonable price and nice service! Liked the fact menu and wine list is short and excellent. Will definitely be returning. Not a place if you want to linger and have peace and quiet..but if you want quick, utterly delicious pasta at a good price, this is the place!
A lovely little find. Small menu but creative and delicious options for vegetarians were great. Definitely I would recommend this restaurant to family and friends. Excellent value for money. 5 stars 🌟
Great homemade Italian pastas. Cheeses with puff bread and wine was great to start too
Amazing food, tastes like Italy. Great value for money.
Very bland pasta, overall poor food experience, would not recommend
Insane food and kind waitresses
Food was great. The service could be much better. We were forced out of our table after 1.5 hours which I think is unfair policy for restaurants to have.
Lovely food, reminds me very much of what I ate when I worked in Emilia Romagna in the 1990s, but served on cramped tables with a compulsory 90 minute turnover time. An introduction to the glories of Northern Italian cooking for those with a short attention span.
Nice little restaurant, friendly, helpful staff and fantastic food.
Still one of my favourite places to eat in all of London
All dishes are delicious and filling. Proper Italian food at best. A small place and best to make advanced reservation. Will definitely go back again
Great restaurant, very cosy and chilled atmosphere. Highly recommend the Cacio e Pepe and the tiramisu (I had 4 lol), thanks Daniela for the great service!
this is an outstanding, authentic Italian restaurant. Since first visiting we have returned with many different friends and they are always blown away by the wonderful food, great service, lovely wines, ambiance and the value. I can't recommend Via Emilia more highly...it is without doubt my favourite restaurant in London right now. Book and go!!!
Great vibes and food
The food is incredible, a completely authentic italian. Service was a little slow (very italian i should say!) but super accommodating of my huge party (9 of us) and recommended plates to share. Would definitely come back. I'm a proper italian foodie and can't believe i found this little gem!
A great Italian restaurant quite intimate which is nice for date night! Food was good nice selection. Very happy 😊
I was in food heaven- loved it !
Place was a bit draughty, but... fantastic food... excellent quality... almost faultless!
Authentic Italian food in a no-frill environment in the heart of Hoxton.
Excellent value for freshly made pasta
The pasta is lovely, very fresh and tasty. I would also recommend the cheese and bread.
Then place is tiny, 3 people was put on a small table usually for 2 people.
Very busy and loud, so many people in a small restaurant.
The waiters were lovely, but kept forgetting our drink orders, possibly because they were too busy.
Delicious, authentic food. Our large group had the set menu which went down very well. Service was great and they made us feel right at home.
The food was of good quality and the prices are not expensive. However, the service could have been better and it was way to noisy in the restaurant. I could barely hear my partner speaking.
Food is amazing. It is now our go to place for pasta! Definitely recommend
Good but loud, no music
Great local gem. It would be good if the menu was to change from time to time
Very enjoyable tasty simple food with good flavour. Relaxed friendly but at the same time efficient service. Room is a bit dark and spartan. Happy to go again.
Great pasta. But way too loud on Saturday evening. Like eating in a club. Go for the food not conversation.
Food was not as good as the previous time I have been. Also it would be good if they were to change the menu sometimes to time
If you like pasta with a difference, it's a great find. A limited menu, but they really care about their food and that you enjoy the eating experience. Lovely!
Really delicious food, good service and really great value. Looking forward to going back.
Only downside was the fact that we were right next to the door, which opens out on to the street. So every time it opened we got blown out of it with the wind. We asked if they could move us but they couldn't.
Best pasta in town! Very authentic Italian recipe. Def come back again :)
The handmade pasta is excellent, as is the fried bread. Our waiter was just the right degree of attentive and explained our choices very well.
Really amazing food and wine - a new favourite - have advised all my friends and family that this is a go to spot! Will be returning as this is happily in our neighbourhood!
Went to Via Emilia for a birthday celebration and it was lovely. Food was spot on, service was great and everything was reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.
