7 course vegan taster meal.... delicious!!
We loved every minute.
In the middle of a snow storm this is the place to be! Started off with v good cocktails in the bar and the experience continued in the same vein all evening. We had the 10 course menu and wine pairing which delivered on every single course. The front of house staff were knowledgable and friendly and helped bring the meal to life. Go now whilst you can still get a table !!!
Fantastic food great service and amazing cocktails
Everything about our experience was top notch.....food, drink, staff amazing! Marked our 1st anniversary and my wife’s birthday perfectly.
Also, make sure you use the cocktail lounge before and/or after.
Fantastic food and service
Friendly greeting and excellent food and service. Would definitely recommend.
Superb experience - the 10 course prestige menu was outstanding and the drinks package complimented the courses beautifully. Staff were knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive.
Really great evening. Restaurant Manager is excellent as is the food.
Amazing tasting menu, great vegetarian option too, £50 a head but they basically force you to buy a cocktail on the way in and the matched drinks are a bit pricey. However food and service are outstanding
Excellent attentive service. Wonderful food and a great selection of cocktails . . . they are happy you make a custom drink if nothing on the menu appeals!
The 10 course tasting menu was superb and with the accompanying drinks package it made it a very special occasion.
We had the 7 course tasting menu, we were disappointed! Having been to other tasting menu restaurants and always really enjoyed them , we were really looking forward to going to Vice & Virtue as the reviews were good. But we found the food either bland or 1 flavour taking over the whole dish, we though the flavour combinations were unimaginative, and we felt rushed, they did not leave enough time between courses. Overall a disappointing meal out.
The food was good and courses felt good value for money, the restaurant was quite quiet so felt this affected the ambience and would expect some of the waiters to be more well kept/dressed for the type of audience this is going for... with the drinks package there wasn’t enough wine we had to buy more to see us through the courses and the waits between. I’d pay more and go to man behind the curtain if a special occasion came up again.
If you like creative cocktails, good food elegantly presented in art deco surroundings, and impeccable service, then this is the place for you.
Food was great overall. Crab cake - 10/10. Truffle Arancini - 10/10 Swordfish - 10/10. Boar Scotch Egg - 10/10. The black pizza was such a let down, way too salty. 0/10 - They knocked this off the bill however, so all is good, good service.
Had a few problems with not having items on the menu, only to be told after ordering, which is always a little annoying.
Overall - would return for cocktails and light bites
Wonderful to be wowed by food, wine matching and serene service.
We went for my fiancé’s birthday and had the chefs menu with the standard drinks package. The menu was different to the website as it had just changed over but was delicious. Service (especially from Ross, our waiter) was amazing and staff knew their stuff about food and drinks. We had a lovely time.
Superb. This was our second New Year's Eve doing the taster menu and wine pairing and it was excellent both times. The service, the food, the wine, the cocktails, even the fancy cutlery, everything was brilliant. Try it!
Unusual location and understated entrance to Vice and Virtue but inside a great welcome from every member of staff. We chose the 7 course tasting menu for a family celebration but chose our own wine and not the selections offered. Food wash beautifully prepared and promptly served. Staff were attentive and cleared glasses etc. speedily. Very smooth. The menu was nicely balanced with the high points being the chicken with an amazingly light black pudding, followed by tender venison. If anything, the background music was slightly loud for our preference but other diners seemed happy so it would have been unreasonable to ask for a change. We would be very happy to return to Vice and Virtue soon. Thanks to all who made the evening special
My first tasting menu & it will most definitely not be my last!
Amazing food, great drinks & fabulous service!
This restaurant provides a fine dining experience on a level one would expect to find in the posh quarters of London. The Chef's Tasting Menu we chose was a journey through a great variety of courses each of them bringing out the best of flavours and textures of the main ingredient on the plate. Paired with this one can choose from a great selection of fine wines , etc. A dinner here is the main event of an evening out - one needs to bring time to enjoy. Great team work as well providing an excellent and friendly service.
Good cocktails in the bar and great choice. Food was OK, but the restaurant is trying to be something that the chefs do not have the skills to bring to fruition. Did the 7 course tasting menu.
Decor looks like it has been done on the cheap in places and a single unisex toilet in the dining area is poor. As said, food was OK but won't be returning
Excellent food with excellent service. Food delivery very efficiently
It’s not just about putting pretty food on a plate, there are many more elements to consider to bring things together, however the enthusiasm and passion of the staff was refreshing apart from a number of table etiquette faux pas. With further refinement I can see much potential in elevating the overall dining experience, particularly clarity of place, identity and intelligent planning of the menu. One immediate improvement should be investment in a kitchen fume extraction system that works, this would avoid an unacceptable level of cooking fumes in the restaurant. Not what you expect from a fine dining experience. Nor do I wish to see people drinking from bottled beer at tables or coats hung over the backs of chairs due to the lack of a cloak room, it just looks scruffy.
Ten out of ten. Ross manager superb and Dean. Will be going back
This place is amazing. By the time i was halfway through our meal i was wondering when i could come back!
The service was second to none, witty and polite staff that cannot do enough for you. The food was incredible, well presented and absolutely delicious.
We will be back for sure.
Fantastic food and service. Great drinks menu and brilliant food. Would highly recommend.
Went to V&V just prior to going to the theatre. Had the taster menu with a drinks package. It was delicious. Good food, very nice drinks and excellent staff. While it was expensive I do think it was well priced.
We'll be going again for sure where we'll likely try the a la carte menu...

Wonderful dining experience. Great food, wines & staff.
Being north of sixty, I was a little apprehensive about this booking as I thought it might be a bit uber trendy, and we were the oldest people in there by about 25 years at a guess. However, the welcome, atmosphere, expertise and professionalism of the staff, and above all the food were exceptional, and well worth the price for a special occasion.
We started in the downstairs cocktail bar. I am currently off alcohol, but the expert cocktail man made me an astonishing alcohol free G&T, as near as possible to the real thing, beautifully presented as was my wife's alcoholic cocktail whose name I can't remember.
In the restaurant, we chose the seven course tasting package, which came with a couple of pre start canapés. Each dish was fully explained, which was necessary and done without being over clever about it. Any fears about seven courses not being enough can be set aside. Each dish was excellent, delicious and thoughtfully put together and presented, and I could not recommend it highly enough.
Give it a try. It's not cheap, but I felt it was money well spent.
Excellent food and cocktails very helpful and friendly staff
Excellent tasting menu - very well proportioned courses with wide variety of flavours. Buccatini pasta cooked in pinot noir was a delight as was the curried quail. I'm not such a pudding fan as to need both puddings on the 5-course menu, (more expensive menus have 3), but they were very good.
We went to Vice and Virtue for our silver wedding anniversary. We wanted it to be special and it certainly was. From the beautiful cocktails in the bar, the exquisite and beautifully presented food, the fabulous wine pairings to the enthusiastic and attentive service we received, we couldn't have asked for a better evening. Thank you.
Hidden gem! Great Art Deco feel, amazing service and excellent food!
This place was incredible! The staff are fantastic and incredibly attentive to your needs. The food was on a different level and the presentation was executed perfectly. We will definitely be returning and have recommended it to all of our friends. Thanks for making our celebration meal absolutely amazing.
We wanted it to be great and it just wasn't! It started brilliantly with a very interesting knowledgeable barman and fantastic cocktails. We did. The 5 course menu and first 3 courses and drinks pairings were really good then went downhill. Main was not great beef with porcini mushrooms - beef was a weird texture and the porcini mushrooms too harsh. 2 desserts that had way too many ingredients and too much on plate - would have much preferred cheese plate for last course. Last drink was undrinkable - a take on espresso martini I think but was not nice. So overall interesting place and really want them to succeed but the food just wasn't great.
Fabulous seven course tasting menu and was recommended which wine to have even without choosing the wine pairing. The service was brilliant and the price was decent compared to other upmarket restaurants with tasting menus. We were made to feel very comfortable and of course the food was fascinating and incredibly flavoursome.
Amazing experience. Fantastic, intriguing and tasty food. Great atmosphere
It was a very special experience. The food was fantastic and so was the atmosphere. Would definitely recommend
Really enjoyable. Food was fantastic and was the wine pairing. Few elements of the service prior to starting the meal let it down a little. We were told, someone would come and fetch us from the bar to our table but we had to inform the barman that is was 20minutes past our booking time and was someone coming. An offer to take our coats would have been a nice once we walked up to restaurants. Sometimes it was difficult to hear what the waiter/waitress was saying about the food/wine. Only small points but would've made a great dining experience excellent. I have recommended to friends already.
Some of the dishes were simply ok , some not nice at all two were really nice ! Cutlery on floor not picked up. Request made on booking ignored ! Boxes in bar area gave bad first impression
