This was a wonderful dining experience and our first visit to the Viceroy. The staff were attentive and liked to explain the type of food on offer.
Unsure what to choose we opted for the £27 per head tasting platter. every course was explained to us in some detail and it was the tastiest meal we have had for many a year. the chicken and king prawn starters were juicy and tasty being lightly spiced so all the flavours came through.
The small tasting platters of fish, lamb, chicken and vegetables could not be faulted and the rice smelt as good as it tasted. We could not finish it all and we were offered more it was absolutely delightful.
To pick any faults seem churlish but the pompadoms could have been hotter but were tasty the mint yoghurt dips milder and the nan could also have been fresher but absolutely great food and plenty of it.
The staff are to be commended we will go again and so should anyone that reads this review.

Absolutely cracking food. I have eaten here a few times and every time has left me wanting to return. Each curry tastes authentic and do not have the large quantities of oil used in other restaurants. Can't wait for my next visit!

What a gem! Upon arriving at the restaurant, one feels welcome and taken care of. The restaurant itself is very modern, but still very cosy and intimate. The service is superb (including an excellent wine recommendation) and the food is heaven. I will certainly be back and this is going to be my number one "special occasions" restaurant.

What an amazing find. The best Indian meal I have ever had. Nothing was too much trouble for the delightful staff. It's lucky I live 3 hours away, or I'd be there every night!

Have made several visits to the Viceroy and it never fails to impress. The food is excellent, what I call curry cordon bleu. Good and friendly service very enjoyable.

A bit of a find. Lovely staff, great food, good value, away from the business of the city centre but not far, and loads of gluten free options.

Fully authentic menu, lots of unusual dishes and staff that can not do enough for you! Nann bread was some of the best I've ever had and the prawn dishes second to none!

I cannot recommend this place enough. Great service, friendly staff and amazing food. I eat out at a lot of curry places and this ranks up there as one of my favourites.

Its the first time Ive been to Viceroy and was not disappointed. The venue was smaller than expected but the decor was good and modern. Staff were very friendly, but the star of the show was the food. To call the flavors fresh and vibrant is an understatement, it was just superb. 10 out of 10 for the chefs. Will defiantly be going back again

Been twice now, first with business (expensed) and second time private (my expense!). The food and the service were excellent on both occasions. Certainly noticed that the food and the prices were a cut above standard curry houses when I paid the bill, but I cannot begrudge the higher prices when the food is so good.
My only slight issue is that when the restaurant is busy, the lack of any kind of soft surface means that the room does get extremely noisy. Some blinds or heavy curtains would make it feel warmer and also deaden the noise a lot
