One of the best Indian meals we have ever had. Every course was exceptional.
Valentine’s Day treat for me and my girl. Always slightly nervous when trying out a new curry house but these guys didn’t disappoint! Great fservice, no rushing courses through and the food was fabulous. Very authentic and great flavours. Will definitely be making a return trip.
Excellent food, high quality produce, very friendly service
Absolutely fabulous meal, service and experience. One of the very best restaurants in Birmingham, and probably one of the very finest indian restaurants you will ever find.
Superb meal at the top end of price range but if you want the best you have to pay for it which we did willingly and we look forward to returning. The background music was the best I have ever heard and added to the whole meal. thank you.
The best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. Everything was perfect
Went here for Sunday lunch visiting daughter at Uni -great food warm service and upmarket ambience .
Pleasant restaurant serving really lovely food. The Tasting Menu 1 was more than enough (excellent prawn & chicken starter, very tender lamb), didn't need the chocolate brownie that comes with Menu 2! And the house red wine was reasonably priced and very drinkable.
Service possibly a bit slow (waited a while to give our order) but it was a packed Saturday night. Overall, recommended and I would visit again to try some of the interesting-sounding things on the menu like the mackerel samosas.
Fantastic and attentive service - with matching food to boot.
The food and service was absolutely wonderful. However we were sat downstairs and it was really quiet away from any atmosphere so slightly disappointed with that aspect
This is a fantastic restaurant, my last visit was lessened by dining in the basement which has far less of an ambience, the food however was exquisite as I expected
Wonderful evening yet again. Food is exceptionally good with attentive service
I love my monthly visit to viceroys. Food is always fantastic.
Another great meal at the Viceroy, will always be a firm favourite when we visit Birmingham, great food, good service and relaxed atmosphere.
First visit on Christmas Day and won't be our last! It's the only time I can recall my husband commenting on how lovely the food was.
You couldn’t get better more attentive staff
Best in Birmingham. Period. 👌
Food, service and ambience all wonderful, as ever. The only complaint is that 3 people in our party of 9 had the Cobra draught beer, and said it tasted weak. I tried some and it tasted as if it had been watered down. I really hope not...
Up there with the best traditional British Indian Restaurants in Birmingham. Viceroy Tandoori is a modern, sophisticated setting. The food is sublime, prepared with care and bursting with flavour. Service is humble and warm; if you are in the Jewellery Quarter on a Sunday please check this venue out. They have an excellent value offer, £16.95 or £18.95 for either a meat or fish dish with rice, nan and a cup of coffee/tea.
top quality indian fare - cant recommend highly enough
Good food! Mice people and good service
Our second visit and it was as good as our first. Outstanding!
Third visit this year, third different meal and yet again clean plate and would order same again. Staff lovely and attentive. Six in our party and thumbs up from all. We’ll be back in new year to sample another dish.
Fifth time using the Viceroy always fantastic food and service.
The Viceroy is an outstanding Indian restaurant. It has superb food, fit for a Michelin Star. You really have to try it. The only thing that lets it down is the noise level. It can be a bit off putting, but it's a real treat food wise. Highly recommended.
Good welcome, great food and a nice clean comfortable restaurant. What else do you need, great job guys!
Will be back next time I am in Birmingham
Definitely recommend this restaurant.... modern interior, warm welcoming and great service. Food was excellent and good menu .... and drinks selection. Tucked away on the outskirts of the Jewellery Quarter but close enough to a few decent bars......
We came for a special occasion, which should indicate how much we like this restaurant.
The food is spectacular and the great seafood options are welcome, given that we are pescatarian. We love that the wine menu is not an afterthought so we can enjoy a glass of good wine. The ambiance is welcoming, quiet and relaxing.
Service is spot on as always; we're well looked after without being rushed, but we're not left alone so much that we feel ignored.
Was seated on a window table as requested, staff were attentive, food was excellent and still serving having Mongoose beer was a bo Birmingham and have no reason to change this. A very good evening all round.
Wonderful food, expertly prepared. All the spices used were evident, the Bombay potato starter was beautifully flavour with chilli heat countered with an acid sharpness. Mains were high quality chicken, tender and juicy the accompanying rice was superbly cooked and fragrant. Naan breads were light with a slight toasting on the under side. Targa dhal side was as good as I’ve had and generous. The only down side to the experience was the board finish to the adjacent wall which was left unpainted and gave an impression of dining in a restaurant under construction. Staff however were welcoming and helpful. The food demands a re-visit, one of the best in Brum
Really excellent meal (Starter and Mains), was recommend to visit by our son who also had a great experience there. Staff were very courteous and polite. Will definitely be going back there.
Absolutely excellent on all counts. Will definitely return on our next visit to the area.
Dined here early on a Saturday evening. Large group at a works do on the next table so quite noisy. When they left after 30 mins the ambiance improved. Lovely food and great service. Not cheap but well worth it. Will go back
Best Restaurant in Birmingham food and staff are amazing highly recommend we have been coming here for quite a few years and love it 👌🏻
I took guests a group of 8. Service was excellent and prompt. None of us was kept waiting. food served to all of us with no waiting. recommended.
I really wish that there were some soft furnishings in this restaurant. The food is great, but if I had difficulty hearing I would not be able to enjoy a meal here with the high level of background noise caused by people talking and the noise bouncing off the walls. The noise level just keeps escalating as people talk louder to be heard above the hubub, and their neighbours then do the same.
I went here with friends as we were in Birmingham for the weekend.
I was gorgeous the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and portion sizes were really reasonable I would highly recommend viceroy.
When I make it back to Birmingham I will definitely be returning here. :)
First time visiting after wanting to go for ages and it sure did not disappoint - service was exceptional from the moment we arrived and this was followed by wonderful food.....we will definitely be back....soon!
Bangladesh cuisine served by friendly staff in a warm and welcoming environment. A small restaurant with a big heart, it was a great pleasure to dine there
This is my favourite restaurant, love the food, service and ambience of the place. Just the right size restaurant so you can talk to each other without shouting
