The food is very good, just a shame that we had to wait so long.
Tolle Location zum Essen in Verbier. Jederzeit gerne wieder
Very bad service!!
This is by far the most attractive restaurant in Verbier, the staff is friendly and the food is good. Apparently they have the prize for 2nd best pizza restaurant in Europe, not sure I would agree. Love the salmon and overall everyone was happy with the food except the pizzas which were served like warm.
Lovely relaxing environment to enjoy nice food and good company.
Very slow service for order without starters and 10’ to find out there was no chocolate ice cream
Excellent food and ambiance
Worst Experience!!! My husband and I had dinner there our last night in Verbier which also happened to be Valentines Day. The service was terrible. We had no idea who our waiter was. Servers were running around but not seemingly doing anything. They would never make eye contact only running past and sometimes stopping to slosh water into our glasses. The meal was very expensive and just so so. On our way ought the coat check person ignored us entirely then finally condescended to giving us our coats. We walked out with a French couple who also had a terrible experience so it was not just because we were Americans.
Fantastic restaurant - delicious food , great atmosphere , beautiful decor and very attentive service .
Delicious pizza - one of the best I’ve ever had ! Do yourself a favor and have dinner here during your stay in verbier - it will be an amazing experience !
Service was average to poor. The place is very nicely done but the level of food and staff is far from what it is trying to show off as. Potential is there but management needs to step up.
Lovely place, great atmosphere and vibe.
The menu was good and the food very tasty.
The service should be improved; far to many staff and long waiting for food and check.
Five of us had dinner and it was excellent from start to finish. Great cocktails, friendly service, delicious food (mushroom ravioli and seared salmon tom yum were especially good) and a fun evening. Highly recommended.
Much smaller portions.. way to much food to just leave on the plate! And wishing for more glutenfree food
One of the most exquisite restaurants in Verbier balancing a great ambiance, professional staff and a wide variety of delicious dishes on the menu. You will find the menu offers something for everyone's taste. With reasonable prices and such services, it's really a great value for money. We have been served by Tomas who is an exceptionally passionate and pleasant waiter, taking care of each detail. I would definitely recommend a dinner in Vie Montagne!
Lovely atmospheric restaurant but the service could be improved
When we arrived I was tempted to finally give only 1 or 2 stars : based on the web site we had elected to get the gastronomical menu at SFR 120 p.p. only to find out that there was no set menu but only a tapas style à la carte menu - we learned then that the web site had not been updated since last winter and there was no phone number indicated. Understand this is hopefully to be corrected.
Finally the food is very good, especially the cold plates, but on the pricey side. Wine is horribly expensive, especially when ordered by the glass. We settled for the home-brewed bier, which is not inexpensive either. Very pleasant and Cody strong. All in all a decent place when value for money is not a top requisite.
Last year was great, but this year we were not very impressed. The staff was kind, teh starters very good but the meat we had for maincourse was awful. We had de wagyu beef which was too tough to eat. It was opresented in a beautiful but too small bowl which made it almost impossible to cut the beef. Two of us gave back and this was solved elegantly by the staff. As a gesture they also gave us desserts for free. The menu choice is very, very limited so it has to be good. Especially for the price you pay. I a not sure if we go back there although we like the ambiance very much.
Très bon accueil, excellent service et repas digne d’un bib Michelin
A very expensive meal, although not surprising as the decor is stylish so cozy and sophisticated at the same time. My filet of beef was very very good, and we were given small taster starter, and chocolates at the end. The cod my friends ate both said, was not good at all. Stick with the mountain fare if you go. Wine list and assistance with recommendation very good. If you have no issue with price, and stick with the steak, it was an amazing experience. Next time I would only go for drinks at the bar and easy dinner nearby. Downstairs was seemingly more relaxed, but not sure of the menu. A definite drinks place away from the crazy Verbier ski crowd!
The food was disappointing, not as good as last year!
We had a lovely dinner, the food and service was excellent. The only reason why I can't give 5 stars is the price which obviously as in Verbier is expensive, however I would say it is worth it as our meal and wine were extremely good.
Food bread oil wine all terrific. Service a bit slow but very friendly. Expensive except for wine which was very fair value. Chef Manuelle was true to her word that it would be a great meal. We tried everything on the menu and all was excellent. Desserts stood out as did the artichoke and scallop soup
The food was excellent in a very pleasant ambiance. Service was attentive
Wonderful food and excellent service. Looking forward to returning.
Very good restaurant in Verbier. Quality of the food is excellent and the service as well. For Verbier the prices are not too steep for the quality. We have been twice and were impressed both times.
Down stairs restaurant is very cosy and relaxed.
Upstairs dining still a shambles. Key staffing is not in place and service lacks. Could be Amazing if the staff were trained.
The hostess at the enterance not polite, not solution orientated and generally does not care about finding a solution for the customers.
Disappointed by the table we were assigned to, having made the reservation a month ago for a special event. At this place (far end of the room without windows) we were really disturbed by the service going back and throw across a curtain door. This curtain was pulled up and then closed at least one hundred time during our dinner and this less than one meter from us supposedly quietly seated. It was unappropriated.
May I suggest, as you have nothing to hide (open kitchen, which we liked) and further more great open perspective to the big ceiling light, you forget about the curtains, leave it open! It will improve really the comfort of your guests.
Don't take it personally, I noticed that everybody was trying its best! but this curtain so close to your seated guests is a real issue.
Petite Arvine undrinkable, probably served the wrong one.
Cauliflower soup excellent but cold.
Pigeon and cod very good.
Passion fruit desert unacceptable for the price asked -> a joke.
Great food, friendly professional service for my money best in Verbier
Our second visit, massively disappointing. We would not return nor recommend it. A very helpful and nice Scottish girl was brilliant; the rest of the service and attitude was appalling. If the staff, particularly the main wine waiter/manager wants to concentrate only on the tables occupied by people he knows, the other guests should be warned in advance that they will be ignored while he does so. Asking for things like more wine or bread three times while staff chat away with limited tables is not acceptable at this price.
Not only our worst dining experience in Verbier, but for some time anywhere.
The food was great but not enough. The service was friendly and the restaurant was very nice.
It was very good food but the service was horrible, it took an hour and half to get 4 cm squared of steak, and our business deal failed
Excellent meal in a beautiful environment with very good service . Will be back We were a party of 7 and we all enjoyed the food.
Well done to the team.
We had a delightful birthday party. Outstanding food and outstanding service. The maitre d’ needs a special mention; he was exceptional. A true Verbier gem.
everything was just cool and elegant; our only negative comment between us was the ceviche, a little bit small portion, and maybe an advise to make a slight mountain taste in the menu as the place is gorgeous but we feel as if we were in a big city restaurant
poor service ,trying to give a 5 star experience but with staff that are clearly not trained to this standard.
Food was extremely tasty but was let down by the service
Food was mediocre in style and presentation, the steak was tough to chew, the lamp was tasteless and deserts were no better then a street ice cream vendor.
Except for service which was great, the seating which was classy, the food was a complete disappointment.
Best in village when it comes to food, ambiance and service.
we did not eat, only beer. The local beer was not available, but we were offered other brands, it was good
